Very nice and friendly staff. Good area. Cute elevator fit two people but that’s part what we wanted to experience-old fashioned plus affordable in center location. We were there at the hottest weather, 36C. there is no air conditioning, they do provide a fan. Good we can tolerate the heat.

The hotel is a bit tired but it is very clean. The location is excellent for all the tourist areas. There were no phones in the rooms so room to room communication has to be face to face.

As stated in other reviews the hotel needs to be updated / painted. One big problem was the AC did not work. The front desk did not say anything about it. Once I was in my room there was a label stating the AC was not working. So it seems it has been broken awhile.

Location Location Location! could not ask for a better place for those who like to walk. Stayed 6 nights. Definitely needs an upgrade and no air conditioning, but there was a fan in the room. No phone connecting the room to the lobby in case of emergencies. The guys at front desk were nice enough but had no idea where anything was when I asked which seemed strange.

The staff was exceptional. The salon on the second floor was very nice, especially since we were traveling with multiple family members in separate rooms. The air conditioning seemed to be permanently broken, with laminated signs in the rooms telling us that it was out of order, but no indication beforehand telling us that it was out of order. This was especially a problem because Paris was having a heat wave. The elevator broke down twice during our visit, which was rough being on the 4th floor (American 5th floor). Our rooms were tiny to begin with, but after we returned to Paris, we had a much bigger room for one night. It would have been nice to have that big room when we were there for a full week. We would stay here again, unless we travel during a heatwave!

O ar condicionado não funcionava. Permaneci o restante da estadia acreditando que era temporário. Passei três dias do verão europeu, com a 5ª onda de calor e a temperatura chegando a 40ºC usando um ventiladorzinho disponibilizado pelo hotel. No checkin não foi informado, mas encontrei um aviso em um papel impresso e plastificado. Parece que o ar condicionado não funcionava há muito tempo e assim permanecerá. Me senti ludibriado, pois se o hotel me informasse, no momento da reserva ou do checkin, teria tomado outra atitude. O hotel como um todo precisa de reforma. A pintura das paredes, os carpetes já passaram do ponto. O quarto é minúsculo, não tem frigobar e o hotel não oferece serviço de quarto ou restaurante. nem máquina automática para a compra de uma garrafa de água. Na portaria, estreita, com uma fachada deteriorada, com entrada que quase passa despercebida há uma placa indicando 3 estrelas. Mas só que não e creio que nunca. O café da manhã é bom, os colaboradores são atenciosos.

Property is old and has that "old smell". The photos on Expedia are nothing like the real thing. Rooms are small, no fridge and TV only in french. Aircon was broken and by looks has been for a while. Elevator was tiny and 2 people and 2 suitcases just fitted with a lot of sqeezing or walked up the stairs. Staff were pleasant and location of hotel was close to most attractions, if not Metro station or buses were nearby.

Great location, and our room was at the back so we weren't bothered by street noise. The room was small but the bed was very comfy. There was a bit of mould in the shower but everything else was very clean. It was a shame that the air conditioning wasn't working, as that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel - however, they did supply a very good fan as a replacement.

This is an older property but they do a great job at upkeep. Staff was friendly, helpful, and always available. They also speak English. There was no fridge in my room which was inconvenient but the staff kept my food in their kitchen fridge and heated it up when requested. The location was perfect!

The Expedia website shows beautiful pictures online and all good reviews. Our room had black mold on the ceiling and in the bathroom. The light fixtures were coming off the wall. The carpet looked like it hosted a homicide scene. The comforter had rips in it. I spoke to Mohomid, who said he couldn't move me to another room because they were booked and suggested I speak with the manager. Well, the manager was NEVER available. I looked at other websites, and this hotel had horrible reviews. Expedia, you only post good reviews, which is misleading

Horrible hotel, DO NOT STAY HERE. I'm not overly picky, and was travelling solo to a few cities in Europe. This is easily the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in. For reference, I typically stay in 3 or 4 star hotels on the more cost effective side, and certainly wasn't expecting a view of the Eiffel tower when I booked this place. However, I was hoping for a decent bed and a clean bathroom. Visibly moldy in the common areas and certainly in the room, with a horrible odor to accompany the visible mold. The bathroom was awful and shower was hardly usable. The bedding was stained with mascara and other unknown things, and didn't seem to be properly clean. I was on the top floor and there was an obvious water stain in the ceiling, almost certainly from a roof leak. I asked to be moved to a different room but apparently they were fully sold out (hard to believe). The location was great and very walkable, but the room was incredibly disappointing. The state of the room did not come close to matching the pictures shown online. Hopefully I'm not headed home with bed bugs! I repeat, do not stay here...

Läget på hotellet går ej att kommentera, väldigt bra. Problemet låg i hotellets fräschhet. Vi fick rum 51 mot ”innergård” där det var mögel i taken, vägg och badrum. Luktade väldigt mycket mögel och alltså äckligt. Upplevde inte lakan som helt rena samt att det inte städats ordentligt innan eller under tiden av vistelsen då det låg väldigt mycket damm på lister och golv. Har bott på 3 stjärnor i Paris tidigare och det har inte varit på den här låga nivån på dessa ställen.

It was hard to find at first, the room was dated but fairly clean. The air conditioning didn’t work and there was a sign in the room explaining this but we had not been told prior therefore the room got hot at night and needed to open the window which meant it was very noisy

The superior room we booked did not at all look like the one we booked. It was photo shopped. So small and old, without restauration in long time. We asked to change room and we had a standard room facing street and traffic. We didn't get a refound "because we decided to change the room standard"

Very nice hotel, in a great location, close to major attractions in Paris. The room was comfortable, and spacious enough for Paris. Our room had a window on the interior court of the building. They offer free coffee during the day, in a little boudoir, and a 24h reception. It was a really good value for the price we pay. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

Great location and a short walk into the heart of Le Marais. Beds were comfortable and room cleaned nicely every day but there are no frills here. Decor is slightly shabby, paint peeling from walls and ceiling, bathroom has broken tiles and mouldy grout. The shower was actually good and it wasn’t dirty but the hotel is shabby

In considering the exceptional VALUE of this place we have got to give 5 stars. Amazing staff, best location, house keeping was on the ball. Definitely will be back! This was my first time in Paris so I have nothing to compare it to so here’s why to expect: Rooms are small— this has to be a high rent area so to be expected. We liked having everything in reach and we’re not at all bothered by this Room was pretty moist. It rained everyday the week we were there so again… to be expected Really a wonderful stay at a bargain price

Rooms are extremely small. If you stay make sure you get balcony room . A little more room. view of the street. Other very small rooms have view of horrible court yard. Staff was very nice. I would go back because of staff only. Very old needs updating on everything. Carpets horrible.

Most of the front desk staff was nice and helpful. The hotel smelled stuffy and needed to have windows open in order to ventilate; there was a water vacuum constantly running on the second floor due to pipe burst and flooding. No phone in room, no mirrors other than in bathroom. Tiles in bathroom under sink were broken and there was a hole in the wall with exposed drainpipes. Very high bathtubs difficult to maneuver. Had to be asking for clean towels every day; had to ask for shower gel and shampoo on the first night of our 8-night stay as it was not replaced. The breakfast staff was not very friendly, and the items provided were limited. Common area living room was pleasant for afternoon and evening gathering with family and friends, coffee and tea was complimentary. The furniture in this room is in very bad condition. Friends traveling with us had a room on the 3rd floor across the hall from us and their bathroom constantly smelled of sewer. Management was not accommodating to issues encountered. Will not return.

Verschrikkelijk hotel. Kamers zijn vervallen, muren zijn zo dun dat je mensen 3 verdiepen hoger hoort rondlopen. Personeel was helemaal niet vriendelijk en kende ook niets van de omgeving. We just used this hotel as we had an overnight layover at the airport. It was perfect for what we needed it for! We arrived quite late in the evening and headed out very early to have a walk, the desk was manned at all hours which made checking in and out very stress free! Thank you to the team for a lovely, albeit short stay!

We had a really nice stay att Hotel France Louvre. A nice, clean room with a small balcony. The bathroom was clean and the shower was great. Best of all was the location! Right in the middle of everything. Close to the Metro, restaurants, shops and all the sights. Helpful staff and the price was nice. We would love to come back!

The hotel is ideally located on the Rue di Rivoli, almost across the street from the Hotel de Ville and a short walk from Notre Dame, with a Starbucks only a couple of blocks away. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, but modest enough to afford on a budget. Mostly it was the staff, who were always friendly and prompt with any needed help. An added bonus is a laundromat just a stone's throw away in back. Note that it's an automated laundromat with no attendants and the instructions are all in French, so be ready with a translator app on your phone.

This hotel was cute, quaint and convenient in dining and shopping locations as well as easy to use the metro. The hotel was clean and staff was available 24/7. The ac was broken and that was one reason we picked this hotel in the middle of summer in Paris was for ac for when we slept. The cost per night was high for no amenities. Coffee is also only available after 2pm in the lounge which was a little weird. Staff was friendly.

I loved how the boutique hotel, where we were treated like guest and not just people to be herded in and out. There was a lovely room to just have coffee and breathe in the Parisian charm and the breakfast area felt like a jazz spot. I’d stay again if we are blessed to return to Le Marais.

For a budget trip and a good location, this hotel will do. It certainly shows signs of age (cracking paint, wear on the tub, stains on the towels) but it was surprisingly quiet for being on a Main Street and it felt safe. The staff was friendly and helpful. Photo is of our tv, as the WiFi wasn’t reliable one night.

Outstanding location right in the Marais. Wonderful breakfast in a beautiful setting. Rooms are quite small but clean and comfortable bed. Good shower but small bathroom. Elevator tiny but works. Nice sitting room. Staff members are courteous but not outgoing in information.
