Family trip for my husbands birthday. The hotel staff were soooo friendly and really welcoming. They even sang a birthday song to my husband on his birthday, so sweet! I booked one standard double and one twin room. The twin ended up being upgraded which was nice. Rooms were simple but comfortable. Small rooms - but this is normal for Paris. I will say however that the walls are quite thin, so we could hear noises from our neighbouring room. This wasnt really a problem, as it was our family's room. We did not hear noise from anyone elses room - only from the corridors in the morning, but people were generally polite and quiet. No noise from the outside or road, as the hotel is on a road that you cannot drive directly onto at all times, so this reduced noise from outside. Simple facilities, free coffee and tea and filtered water tap downstairs but a nice touches like a popcorn machine, pastries and a games room and other seating areas. Overall, would definitely recommend if you are planning on having somewhere to rest your head whilst you explore the city. But also quite lovely to relax in at night and had a good night sleep here. Its also in a very good location - so its very well worth the price. Would definitely stay again!!!!!!

Because of construction in the road next to the hotel, we couldn't get close to the hotel with the taxi and we needed to carry the luggage all the street. And also from 7 am sll the construction workers made so much noise that we couldn't sleep. No information about that from the hotel.

Hotel room was good, but the AC didn’t get very cold. Twice the fire alarm went off at night from people smoking. The lobby and other areas were under renovation when I got there. Power went off one night (from 2400-0800) and there was no hot water in the morning. But it was very convenient and an otherwise clean hotel.

Quick friendly check in - helpful staff. Lovely, clean, bright room. A bit away from the main train station but we were able to walk it - should be quick by bus or subway. Short walking distance to the bus stops and two subway stations. Lots of restaurants and patisseries close by. Free ice cold sparkling and still water refills; free filter coffee station. No complaints. Highly recommend.

Obwohl in der Lobby noch letzte Renovierungsarbeiten stattfanden, gab es kaum Einschränkungen. Die Arbeiten begannen morgens ab ca 8 Uhr. Das Auto konnten wir in der Nähe in einem sicheren Parkhaus abstellen. Preis für 3 Nächte 56 € incl. 10% Ermäßigung durch das Hotel.

The location is great! Walking distance to many relevant places. Free coffee, water etc 24/7 Wow! Staff in general AWESOME, so kind, supportive, specially the lady staying late night ❤️ Cleaning not always consistent, I think that needs to improve, however every time I approach the staff they helped me with a super attitude. I strongly recommend this place, value for money!🌟

I stayed at this hotel recently and was extremely disappointed. Nowhere during the booking process or on their website did it mention that the hotel was undergoing major renovations. I only found out upon arrival — by then, it was too late to cancel or change plans. The noise from construction started early in the morning and lasted all day, making it impossible to rest or enjoy any quiet time. Hallways were dusty, some areas were blocked off, and overall it felt more like a construction site than a hotel. This lack of transparency is unacceptable. Guests deserve to know what they’re walking into — especially when paying full price. I would not stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone until renovations are fully complete and the hotel is upfront about its condition.

Booked 2 rooms for 4 nights for a family break. Great value hotel, excellent staff with lovely touches such as free chilled water, coffee and pastries in the foyer. Very accessible with great Metro links , Liege and Place de Clichy stations only 5 minutes walk with a good selection of local restaurants and bars in the area. Free buffet breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay again if in Paris.

Hotel molto carino e curato, personale gentilissimo e situato in una strada chiusa al traffico con tanti negozi e bar nelle vicinanze. C'è anche una zona in cui si può prendere gratuitamente caffè e the che spesso è rifornita con dolci e pop corn, cosa molto carina per noi che viaggiavamo con due bambini piccoli. La metro Clichy è a pochi passi e vale assolutamente la pena una bella passeggiata verso Montmartre. Consigliatissimo!

Overall this hotel was a nice place to stay, but we believe we got bed bugs here. When we arrived home we began having bites pop up for a few days. Other than this the hotel is a nice place and the neighborhood is great.

Prises électriques arrachées, traces de saleté aux murs, odeurs d’urine dans la salle de bain, chauffage éteint. Nous retrouvons une cigarette électronique sous le lit. Comme une impression de ne pas avoir été dans le bon hôtel. Passez votre chemin, il y a d’autres établissements dans le secteur.

The hotel is being refurbished and it is nice and modern and the room was comfortable but the room we stayed in was very small. We booked a superior room thinking that it would be larger but to be honest, I'm not really sure what the difference is between the standard. We struggled to find room to keep one standard suitcase and the bathroom was quite cramped. The floor was also not completely clean when we arrived with glitter and broken sequins still on the floor plus there were some food items still left under the bed. It feels like this is operating as a newly opened hotel as they had run out of things and check in was very slow. They also charged our credit card after we left with an amount they have provided no description or response for even after we asked at check out if everything was settled which they confirmed it was. I would not stay here again.

Das Hotel hatte eine gute Lage und das Personal war sehr freundlich. Auch das Unterbringen der Koffer nach dem Auschecken ging problemlos. Allerdings wirkte das Zimmer recht dreckig (Flecken, Löcher und Haare auf dem Teppich). Außerdem flogen konstant 3-4 Motten durch das Zimmer. Insgesamt habe ich mich etwas unwohl gefühlt.

Zimmer stark renovierungsbedürftig. Löchriger Teppichboden. Wände fleckig und mit Schmutzspritzern bis unter die Decke übersät. Manche Flächen klebrig. Ansonsten Hotel soweit in Ordnung, werden das Hotel aber nicht mehr buchen aufgrund der Erfahrung mit dem Zimmer.

I stayed with a friend for just over 3 weeks when volunteering for the Paralympic Games, we both felt that in choosing the Hotel le Cardinal we couldn't have done better. The staff gave us a warm welcome and were very helpful throughout our stay, responding quickly to any queries, and ensuring beforehand that we had the right type of room for us. The room was not huge, but was well equipped and comfortable, and had a little balcony with table and chairs looking out onto the street. It was very useful to have a mini fridge in the room and a safe. The location is great, the street is quiet but there are plenty of places to eat and socialise close by, and easy metro links to other parts of the city. We didn't take up the breakfast option due to our volunteer hours, so can't comment on that, but there is a great boulangerie just opposite. Am hoping to return again later in the year with my husband so we can have a Paris mini break together, it is a given that we will be staying at Hotel le Cardinal !

Our room was bigger than the usual Paris postage stamp size, very good except for the shower head. Plenty of hot water, but it was delivered in tiny needle sprays that went mostly out instead of on the body. A new shower head is in order.

The hotel was very cute, newly renovated with a nice design. I had a double sized room. Nice large window and the room was newly renovated as well and a nice size for Paris. I enjoyed the rainhead shower and hand held combination in the shower which was spacious. Liege and Saint Lazare Subway stations are about 8-13 min walk respectively. This neighborhood was good for restaurants, lots of walkable options within minutes including special dietary needs (<20 min). Fast check in.

We loved our three days at the Hotel Le Cardinal. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Our room was convenient to the elevator. That was nice. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood with a variety of restaurants nearby. There is even a small supermarket across the street. The hotel is affordable, and yes, we would stay there again.

Really pleased with my stay at Hotel le Cardinal. I was massively impressed with its cleanliness and the level of comfort. Also the location is great: great bars, restaurants & cafes nearby. The lovely reception lady who checked us in was super helpful & nice. We were a little early so she invited us to sit in the lounge where there’s complimentary coffee & water etc and then she had the room ready for us before the official check-in time. All in all I couldn’t pick a fault with this hotel and its lovely staff and I would give it 6 stars if I could. We would be back :)

I stayed with a friend for just over 3 weeks when volunteering for the Paralympic Games, we both felt that in choosing the Hotel le Cardinal we couldn't have done better. The staff gave us a warm welcome and were very helpful throughout our stay, responding quickly to any queries, and ensuring beforehand that we had the right type of room for us. The room was not huge, but was well equipped and comfortable, and had a little balcony with table and chairs looking out onto the street. It was very useful to have a mini fridge in the room and a safe. The location is great, the street is quiet but there are plenty of places to eat and socialise close by, and easy metro links to other parts of the city. We didn't take up the breakfast option due to our volunteer hours, so can't comment on that, but there is a great boulangerie just opposite. Am hoping to return again later in the year with my husband so we can have a Paris mini break together, it is a given that we will be staying at Hotel le Cardinal !

This hotel lacks safety procedure. I booked the hotel for my two daughters around new year. When they returned to the hotel on 12/30 around 10 pm, they were appalled to find their room door was left wide open and their room was near the elevator! My daughters were sure the door was closed when they left during the day. We have stayed in hotels lots of times. Never before did we find an open room door in any hotel! My daughters went to the front desk and asked why the door was open. The front desk told them the cleaning person forgot to close the door. My daughter asked if there was surveillance camera in the hallway or elevator and was told no. The two girls were very upset as they did not know if any random person entered their room during the several hours they were away. The front desk manager told my daughters they would refund the night, but they have not done so and I don’t think they will.

The staff was SUPER friendly. Awesome service - The front desk guy was beyond helpful the entire stay. I was there 2 nights. The room was CLEAN, comfortable adn quiet. Breakfast was great with plenty of options but not overpriced. I have been to Paris many times but have not stayed in this part of town – it was awesome. It was an easy walk to Gustav Moreau museum, nightlight, easy to get to Montmartre, and very easy to Champs. I will stay here again. It is not a super touristy area like St. Germain. It is more laid-back but with plenty of fun things to enjoy in the neighborhood. It is extremely convenient but the service and staff make this place exceptional.

Lobby had 24 hr coffee machine with each cup being freshly ground. Croissants and other treats were also available and free. Our room was small for a couple but that was nothing as we spent most of our time touring around the city. Quaint boutique hotel on a quiet street and very close to the Place de Clichy metro. There are lots of nearby restaurants and a really good bakery on the corner. The front desk staff was also very helpful in recommending local attractions. Highly recommended.

This was a nice property but due to road construction it was difficult to get to. My taxi got lost and I still needed to drag my bags through a really difficult walking path. The room was tiny but it was just me. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was included and it was good. I’d wait until the construction is complete before booking though.

The hotel is conveniently located within a few minutes of the metro station. It has many restaurants and a delicious bakery across the street. At night, it was very quiet; I slept very well. The hotel offers a lovely breakfast in the dining room. The staff is great. They made recommendations for dining in the area and helped with travel directions. I will stay here again.

The room was pleasant, a little small. Milk wasn’t restocked for morning coffee in the room. Breakfast was very disappointing. The first morning there was almost nothing to eat despite there being over an hour of breakfast left. We had to ask for plates and mugs. The second morning was slightly better but food ran out quickly and replenishments were very slow. Basics like baguettes should be standard and replaced quickly. Paying extra for breakfast was definitely a waste of money.

Loved the friendly service. Great breakfast buffet with a lot of selection and delicious cheeses. There is a complimentary water machine in the lobby with sparkling or still as well as coffee which was very nice to fill a bottle for your room or travel. Great location. Loved our stay.

The breakfast was amazing- highly recommend. The only problem with our stay was that the shower was not enclosed so very often the water would leak out from the shower and we the floor. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist wirklich ausgesprochen gut. Man erreicht alle gängigen Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß innerhalb einer Stunde und schlendert dabei durch die Straßen Paris mit seinen wunderschönen Bauten. Lediglich die Tatsache das bei uns das frühstück schon um 9:15 nicht mehr aufgefüllt wurde ließ etwas zu wünschen übrig. Sonst alles allerdings top.

Das Hotel Le Cardinal liegt sehr zentral und ruhig in Paris. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um die Stadt zu erkunden. Insgesamt war es ein schöner Aufenthalt mit kleinen Abstrichen. Für einen Kurztrip nach Paris trotzdem empfehlenswert.

The rooms had charm and character, the AC works wonderfully, absolutely a wonderful team of staff. The cleaning staff, however, do not really vacuum the rooms between consecutive nights, I found much of the staff's hair covering the ground when I came back later in the evening, it was quite disheartening. The breakfast, however, left much to be desired. None of the staff replenished any of the empty/finished breakfast items, and none of the staff checked in with me for the mini yogurt parfait that they forgot to give me. It left quite a bad taste in my mouth because it was not cheap, 21 Euro breakfast, the croissants and pain au chocolat were old and stale, I absolutely do not recommend their breakfast. Go down the street to the boulangerie and enjoy a delightful breakfast. Overall, the hotel room and service were 9.5/10, the breakfast was maybe a 2/10.
