The hotel location is excellent as it is walking distance from Gare De Lyon train station. The elevator was not working fully, however the night manager helped us move one bag up one floor. It was a windy night and one window opened partially and water came in the room. We could not secure the window Did not use any of dining options

The room was clean, but it’s definitely a small room which is the norm in this area. I didn’t think the front desk staff was as friendly as other hotels we had stayed in in the area. The elevator was very small, but it did the job and without fortunate to have a hotel with an elevator at all.

In the morning when we went to check out the lift wasn’t working. We were given no notice of this. We had 70kg of bags and equipment, and had to carry it down 6 flights of stairs, there was no assistance from the hotel staff nor apology made. This would have been a huge problem for anyone who was elderly or with a health condition.

The woman at the front desk was very kind, polite and helpful. She allowed me to store my cheese and butter in the fridge overnight. Pros: Cheap place to crash for the night and very close to Gare de Lyon and easy to get to the airport. Very walkable location with great resto options nearby. Cons: My bathroom REEKED of stale smoke, I had to keep the door closed. The room is dated and bed and pillows uncomfortable. You need to be able to carry your bag to the first floor to catch the lift.

It does not have fridge in the room. We had to ask the staff put our stuff in their share fridge and take them every day. That was annoying. The shampoo had terrible quality. The room was small. It does not have iron in the room.

This property has BED BUGS!!!!!! We were bitten and we saw the insects crawling in the bed. We have pictures and the rash to prove it. They gave us another room which was also infected. The only thing they offer was free breakfast. We were deeply insulted by this.

J’arrive dans la chambre à 22h la fenêtre est ouverte…je comprends vite pourquoi quelques minutes plus tard…une odeur d’égouts très forte émane depuis la salle de bain…la moquette est dans un état déplorable pleine de tâches..la salle de bain dont la vasque est démesurée par rapport à la taille de la pièce empêche de circuler (je fais 70 kg) et n’imagine pas pour un voyageur plus corpulent…en 2025 comment peut-on encore fournir un service de ce type pour 110 eur la nuit…

We were impressed with the soundproofing of the room which could have been extremely noisy otherwise due to the location. It was worth paying extra for the larger room. Typically, rooms in Paris are very small, but this was quite comfortable. It had average furnishings, a decent bed and spacious bathroom. Gare de Lyon was quite close- a very short walk. Also, there was an exceptional Italian restaurant (Spiga) across street. A good experience for a five night stay.

Property was in a very good location close to Metro line and cafes/restaurants. We did have an issue with a faint damp smell in the room & no fan in the bathroom which caused condensation. It was also quite noisy. Staff were very good & always polite.

Room booked was not room I got. Hotel amenities are not truthful. Supposed to be Soundproofed rooms but absolutely not soundproof at all. Property is very old and all floor boards creak. The property has 7 floors. Could here toilets flushing, water running, people walking, slamming doors. No manager. Reception very unhelpful aggressive and dismissive of concerns. Did not speak english or didn't want to and continually stating 'hotel full'. No tea or coffee, milk, dirty used cup. Bed was fine, room decor fine. Would not stay here again. Expedia not responding to complaint re: incorrect information or getting what you booked.

Small room, needs some refreshing. 1 or 2 more outlets would be nice. A coffee pot, with decaf and tea would be nice for a 3 stars hotel. A microwave instead of a safe. Room was very quiet. Bed comfortable. Staff was very courteous, and helpful.

We enjoyed a weekend break and found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. We were unable to make the first night of our stay as the flight was cancelled. On arrival the next day the hotel informed us that they wouldn’t charge us for the missed night and they would refund the money. The hotel was a short walk from the metro and was surrounded by lovely restaurants

Very close to Gare de Lyon. The room was quite spacious by Paris standards and the price was very reasonable. The interior seems a bit shabby and in need of renovation. I had a room on the 7th floor, but the elevator only goes to the 6th floor, so I had to drag my heavy suitcase up the carpeted, winding stairs. The night concierge was rather unfriendly and offered neither help nor sympathy. The morning staff was much friendlier.

Le chauffage ne fonctionnait pas bien dans la chambre 104 et il n’y avait pas du tout de chauffage dans la salle de petit déjeuner, je l’ai dis ce matin à la réceptionniste et elle ne sais même pas excusé et m’a dit qu’il y avait le chauffage donc première et dernière fois dans cet hôtel pour un 3 étoiles ce n’est pas du tout à la hauteur du prix.

The staff were amazing. They let us check in early since our train came in before check in time. The kind lady who helped us also booked a taxi for our very early morning flight. Overnight, however, our flight was cancelled and booked for an earlier time. The attendant at the desk made sure to keep tabs on the taxi we ordered and we still managed to make our flight. Everyone was so kind and helpful and I'd recommend this place with no reservations.

The Viator is a fair-price hotel within walking distance--even with suitcases--of Gare Lyon, a major Paris train station. There's a metro stop right outside the hotel as well. It's limited, but the bathrooms are modernized, the bed is comfortable, and in the deluxe rooms (recommended for the extra few dollars), there is room to spread out. Staying for the last night in Paris before a morning train trip was a perfect use of the hotel. On a budget and willing to adds steps to your Health app, it's not far from the Seine, Notre Dame de Paris, Chappelle and other major attractions. It's a metro ride to Eiffel Tower. I recommend it.

I stayed here overnight as I had an early train the next morning. Close proximity to restaurants,bars and a couple of minutes walk to Gare De Lyon which is ideal! Area was quiet and safe. I had a comfortable stay and liked the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. Bedding was clean and fresh and bed comfortable. The room had a safe,TV and kettle for making drinks. Bathroom clean and functional. The outside of the hotel is very grand but some elements inside let it down a bit. The carpet in my room was stained heavily,the curtains were difficult to open and a few fittings in the bathroom were loose and needed replacing. For example,no sink plug and discoloured sealant. In spite of these points I would stay here again and recommend the hotel for overnight stays.

We thought the hotel was great! Conveniently located near the Gare de Lyon, we walked to Notre Dame and around the Marais. Just had one full day in the city, but 2 nights at the hotel. Excellent breakfast with eggs, sausage and great bread options. As well as youghurt and fruit juice. I am a bit of a shower snob, and I found the one in our room to be one of the best ever! Tiny, but great water pressure, and hot!
