This hotel is a hidden gem on a very small street just off the busier bigger streets of the 3rd Arr in Paris. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it. The rooms was super cute - we got the Privilege and found it just big enough for two of us so long as one of us unpacked and used the closet. We knew small rooms were to be expected in Paris, so this wasn't a surprise. They provided free water, tea, cola, espresso and juice in the mini bar. It's super close to some major metro stations, making getting around the city very easy. We also walked to Le Marias and some other nice areas - so it's in a great location. There's a small elevator that helps with getting luggage up. On the weekend and during holiday it was very quiet. Only things we weren't fond of: there's absolutely no way to keep the water from the shower from totally soaking the bathroom floor and the steam fills the entire room when you shower, since there's no ventillation, but it doesn't affect the quality of stay. Our room was quiet apart from when the school outside the window had recess and kids were playing very loud and woke us up (weekdays only, I assume). And of course this isn't the hotel's fault but the small side of the street you exit to get to Republique station smells like a toilet - but just hold your breathe for about 30 seconds and you'll be fine. It's Paris, after all. Definitely would stay again and would recommend it.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Taylor. Such a beautiful, quaint hotel with quality, affordable breakfast. If they dont provide the service, they have recommendations within walking distance. The front staff is very friendly and kind. I personally loved the luggage storage as it allowed us to walk around while waiting for our room. The area is quiet but full of life. It is very near to one of the best rated Boulangerie in Paris. Fresh bread every day.

Lovely hotel, with amenities that travelers from the U.S. and the U.K. will appreciate, that aren't always standard at Parisian hotels. Breakfast buffet looked good, I enjoyed the self service coffee bar, and light pastries. The staff was lovely and helpful, the hotel is stylishly decorated. The rooms is stocked with complimentary snacks and drinks and the wifi is strong. I stayed in a standard single and it was perfect and larger than I had anticipated, this being my 20th or so trip to Paris. I would recommend this hotel to first timers in the city and also to regulars who visit the city.

Nous sommes venus en couple et avons tout apprécié : la situation proche de République et à deux pas du théâtre de la Renaissance, tout en étant dans une rue adjacente et calme, l’accueil chaleureux, le cadre général (belle déco), la propreté de la chambre… Pas de petit déjeuner pour nous, mais l’accès libre aux boissons chaudes à toute heure est un plus. Excellente adresse !

It was very nice hotel very nicely maintained people at the desk were extremely helpful and is well located plenty of nice restaurants around and lot of activities nearby. People very friendly in the neighborhood. They had an old-time elevator that could really only get two people in, but it worked fine and really never had any trouble

Had an amazing stay at Hotel Taylor. Really comfortable bed, air conditioning, good shower and spacious for Paris and good value for what you get. Certainly recommend and will stay again.

We had a great stay at the Hotel Taylor. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was helpful that they spoke excellent English. The building and the rooms were lovely and had a really good style and feel. The duo room had an excellent sized bed. The cleaning was done to an excellent standard. The area was perfect, near to lots of great restaurants and bars and areas of interest, as well as being well connected by train and metro. The breakfast was fantastic and good value. The staff prepared a great range of foods, all seemed good quality. There were a couple of areas of wallpaper in the room that were bubbling/peeling which could do with fixing, but otherwise couldn't fault the hotel at all. We had a great stay - thank you again!

Homeless sleeping and urinating in small tunnel near front door which you pass through to get to restaurants and transportation. Beds are King size but firm. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was average. Room is small, was difficult with 3-Bags, only room to open one at a time. Used drinking glass in room, it was put back by cleaning crew, but dirty, stll had milk ring. Lift worked fine. Overall average.

Did not like the area , how it is located in a back street alley. there are groups of men huddled near the avenue which made me feel unsafe. The room was not cleaned thoroughly, highly disappointing to enter a room with a dirty sink, towels and pillow, food crumbs under the bed

This was a lovely stay, increibly nice staff and the hotel was very clean and quiet. I would absolutely come back and recommend it. They accomodated an early check in too which was an added bonus after a flight. Lovely!

Room was small but clean. Bathroom was very tiny and I am only 5'8". Staff were friendly and spoke English. Breakfast included an excellent selection and was very fresh. Hotel was close to metro stations. Overall safe neighborhood. Hotel is tucked away in a side street so it wasn't too loud.

A lovely small hotel with staff that were very helpful. Air conditioning in the room let me cool down after walking through Paris all day. The night of my arrival there were huge celebrations in the streets, but the the room was isolated enough that I didn’t notice them at all. However, the only negative was that the door to the corridor let in a fair amount of noise (I could hear other people speaking in the corridor through the door). Also, the stairs creak a lot, which could sometimes be heard in my room. I didn’t hear anything from other rooms though. Overall a very nice place to stay and I will definitely stay here again when I return to Paris!

Dejligt hotel i roligt og virkelig hyggeligt nabolag nær Place de la Republique. Gå afstand til Marais og med Metro stationer tæt på. Hotellet er lille og hyggelig - værelserne små, men smukt indrettet og med alt hvad man skal bruge. Morgenmadsbuffeten var ok (vi kunne godt have brugt et blødkogt æg og også en bedre scrambled egg, men det er vist ikke traditionen i Paris).

J'avais choisi l'hôtel Taylor au vue des bons avis mais j'ai déchanté en arrivant dans la chambre #607. Impossible de travailler car il y a simplement une étagère microscopique. De plus, la douche est également microscopique avec un rideau qui ne descend pas jusqu'au bac donc attention à l'inondation de la salle de bains. On se fait arroser, qu'on le veuille ou non, par le pommeau "jet de pluie" car le système permettant d'arrêter ce pommeau est inopérant. Enfin, la chambre est située à côté d'un local technique dans laquelle se trouve une soufflerie que l'on entend depuis la chambre donc mieux vaut ne pas avoir le sommeil léger. Le seul point positif est le fait que les boissons du minibar sont gratuites (un soda, une eau gazeuse et une eu plate). J'aurai préféré pour ma part qu'elles soient payantes et avoir une douche plus grenade, une chambre plus calme avec une tablette plus grande sur laquelle je puisse travailler. Bref, je n'y retournerai pas ou en tout cas pas dans cette chambre.

Everything was good, the room was quiet and the AC, much needed during the stay, worked perfectly. Only little thing is the terrible view from the room into an ugly concrete courtyard.

I have just spent 3 nights in a DUO room (409). The room was spacious and clean. You could make tea and coffee and there was a free mini-bar with water and soft drinks, which was nice. The bed was very comfortable. There was no door to the bathroom (only a sliding door to the separate toilet), which was annoying because we did not travel as a couple - there was NO privacy when leaving the small glass shower cabin. There was only ONE small towel hook, which meant that it was difficult to dry and reuse the towels (goes against sustainability). There was shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, but no body lotion. Staff mostly minded their own business at the reception - we had to reactivate our key cards daily, which was irritating (we always found out when we had already taken the VERY small elevator to the 4th floor). The location is wonderful - calm street with lots of nice shops, cafés and restaurants. Good transportation possibilities.

Overall our stay was great. The one downside was the shower layout. There didn't seem to be a way to efficiently keep the water in the shower. Excess water would pool on the bathroom and then seep into the carpet in the bedroom. Overall our stay was great. The one downside was the shower layout. There didn't seem to be a way to efficiently keep the water in the shower. Excess water would pool on the bathroom and then seep into the carpet in the bedroom. Had an amazing stay at Hotel Taylor. Really comfortable bed, air conditioning, good shower and spacious for Paris and good value for what you get. Certainly recommend and will stay again.

The room and public areas were quite chic and comfortable and it was easy to get to from the Gare du Nord. However, the person at reception when we arrived at 9pm was not very welcoming or helpful. The water was barely hot enough for a bath or shower on the first evening and there was no hot water the following evening. I've never stayed in even a cheap hotel where there was no hot water, and this wasn't cheap!

This was a lovely stay, increibly nice staff and the hotel was very clean and quiet. I would absolutely come back and recommend it. They accomodated an early check in too which was an added bonus after a flight. Lovely!

Hotel Taylor allowed me to check in early and the room designs are very stylish in comfortable spaces. Sammy was very helpful and polite with customer service, he was able to extend my stay for an extra half day with plenty of time to explore Paris before my night train to London, would stay again!

This was my first stay at Hotel Taylor and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful with suggestions and directions, and did everything they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hotel Taylor to others and would gladly stay again.

This hotel is a hidden gem on a very small street just off the busier bigger streets of the 3rd Arr in Paris. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it. The rooms was super cute - we got the Privilege and found it just big enough for two of us so long as one of us unpacked and used the closet. We knew small rooms were to be expected in Paris, so this wasn't a surprise. They provided free water, tea, cola, espresso and juice in the mini bar. It's super close to some major metro stations, making getting around the city very easy. We also walked to Le Marias and some other nice areas - so it's in a great location. There's a small elevator that helps with getting luggage up. On the weekend and during holiday it was very quiet. Only things we weren't fond of: there's absolutely no way to keep the water from the shower from totally soaking the bathroom floor and the steam fills the entire room when you shower, since there's no ventillation, but it doesn't affect the quality of stay. Our room was quiet apart from when the school outside the window had recess and kids were playing very loud and woke us up (weekdays only, I assume). And of course this isn't the hotel's fault but the small side of the street you exit to get to Republique station smells like a toilet - but just hold your breathe for about 30 seconds and you'll be fine. It's Paris, after all. Definitely would stay again and would recommend it.

Loved the hotel: modern, clean, friendly staff. The room was a very good size and the bed was amongst the most comfortable I've ever slept in (including my own!). I didn't have breakfast there but it was popular and looked very good too. Location: easy access from the metro, located on a quiet street. Parking might be challenging if you're driving. Lots of local restaurants, bars etc. nearby, Seine is about a 20 min walk away so you're in a less touristy part of town (which I liked a lot).

The hotel was excellent with great service. The breakfast was amazing . The overall location was excellent. Near Republic Metro. Only problem (which hotel had no control of) was the immediate street around it. To get to the hotel you had to walk through a covered passage reeking of urine smell or take a longer route to from the opposite direction.

Nous sommes venus en couple et avons tout apprécié : la situation proche de République et à deux pas du théâtre de la Renaissance, tout en étant dans une rue adjacente et calme, l’accueil chaleureux, le cadre général (belle déco), la propreté de la chambre… Pas de petit déjeuner pour nous, mais l’accès libre aux boissons chaudes à toute heure est un plus. Excellente adresse !

Excellent hotel for value for money. On the edges of Le Marais and a relatively easy walk to get there. Very convenient location from Gare Du Nord (20min walk). Exceptional room sizes (selling point for us and why we picked the hotel). Fantastic size bathroom, just a shame the shower drain didn't function well enough and we had to use towels to prevent water leaking into the whole bathroom!! Exceptionally friendly and accommodating service, all 3 receptionists were a delight! Nothing was a hassle for them. Incredible value for money considering the date we booked - could not recommend more!!

Homeless sleeping and urinating in small tunnel near front door which you pass through to get to restaurants and transportation. Beds are King size but firm. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was average. Room is small, was difficult with 3-Bags, only room to open one at a time. Used drinking glass in room, it was put back by cleaning crew, but dirty, stll had milk ring. Lift worked fine. Overall average.

Dejligt hotel i roligt og virkelig hyggeligt nabolag nær Place de la Republique. Gå afstand til Marais og med Metro stationer tæt på. Hotellet er lille og hyggelig - værelserne små, men smukt indrettet og med alt hvad man skal bruge. Morgenmadsbuffeten var ok (vi kunne godt have brugt et blødkogt æg og også en bedre scrambled egg, men det er vist ikke traditionen i Paris).

Very good boutique hotel in a quiet neighborhood of Paris. Minutes away from Republique or Jacques Bonsergent metro stations. Pharmacy and excellent patisserie / boulangerie (Mamiche) down the street. Bathroom was ok but a bit small. Overall cleanliness was good, bed was very comfortable. The staff are definetely the highlight of this place : they were very friendly and helpful. Definetely recommend. There is a primary school next to the hotel so weekday mornings you will hear kids playing outside at recess around 10 am.
