Mercure Chamonix Centre

Nothing short of amazing. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, the rooms are big and comfortable and has top notch facilities. Parking was very convenient, if you reserve with time they offer covered parking within the building and direct access to the rooms for 30 euros a night. It was easy to manouver. Otherwise there is a public parking right next to the hotel, so it is very friendly if you get by car, but also by train as it is right next to the train station. It is also very conveniently located, close to commercial streets with tons of shops and restaurants. The facilities are very good, especially the spa and the pool, which can be visited until 8pm in the winter. Breakfast was also great, with tons of options. Finally, the staff in general was very nice and serviceable. As a plus many employees speak Spanish, which is my native language, so it was really helpful. I would stay again without a doubt.

I had a pleasant stay for 4 nights. The rooms are adequate but quite warm. The spa is excellent and very clean. Ideal location for all the walks and lifts and central to the shops. Only thing that let it down was that we were told to move from the bar area unless we brought something and they stupidly close at 5pm?..

The hotel and breakfast were nice. However there are too many guest for the pool, hot tub and jacuzzi to support. We avoided the area after one attempt to enjoy them.

Super ! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet hôtel J’avais un peu peur de la proximité des voies ferrées mais nous n’avons pas entendu un seul train. Les chambres et l’hôtel sont décorés avec goût, le personnel est très gentil Le spa est très beau, un seul bémol : il n’est pas réservé qu’aux adultes, et certains enfants peuvent être turbulents et bruyants J’y suis allée en début d’après midi le deuxième jour et c’était très calme, les enfants sont revenus après 16h et c’était plus fréquenté et plus bruyant L’hôtel est extrêmement bien situé avec un parking juste à côté (la durée de stationnement pour 24h y est moins chère que de prendre le parking de l’hôtel) Mais je recommande +++

Très bon séjour passé dans cet hôtel . Que ce soit la nourriture , salle de sport , piscine spa jacuzzi tout est vraiment de très bonne qualité. Le personnel est très agréable .

Absolutely amazing, spa is a great addition. Balcony view with mountains, has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much! :)

Beautiful hotel and room. Very comfortable and cozy. The living room is couch is off and u comfortable to sit on. Water in the jacuzzi needs to be hotter. Best steam room!

Great location, clean, great spa and pool

Good location, close to everything from shopping to dinning to attractions. The only thing I would say is that their pool, jaccuzzi and gym could be open later. When we are in Chamonix, we are out and about until diner time and it would be nice to go to the gym or the hammam after 8pm. Being open until 10pm would give us the options to use the property utilities. Thank you!

The room was on the ground floor, where weeds and plants had grown up to window height and 30 cm from the small mini terrace—an interim, foul-smelling goat pen with traffic noise from the train track. The room was also not prepared for three people as ordered. No table or chairs in the room. All in all, a disappointment and overpriced for a mediocre hotel.

This is a great hotel. Very nice and clean with many amenities. They stored our luggage during our 8 day trek around My Blanc. When we came back from hike our room was ready and this hotel was prefix to recharge our bodies after a gruelling 8 day hike. Would love to come back.

Great location, but actually it's not a real 4 star. The refrigerator was not in its designated place. The separated toilets (an advantage) but without a separate sink. The shower does not really prevent wetting outside the shower. The carpet is not clean. The heating barely worked.

New hotel, very clean, nice design. Friendly staff. But not really soundproofed walls, you can hear every word from hall or next room. However, seems guests were placed far from our room, so I heard next room just ones and after that just people from the hall. My staying was pretty quiet and calm. Breakfast pretty boring, no veggies at all. But all products are fresh and delicious! Very convenient area - calm part but in the center. And SPA nice addition. However, the most useful was the steam room. Pool, jacuzzi, and outside sauna were way too cold. Just ones in 12 day jacuzzi was warm (not hot). But for Instagram content SPA looks amazing. In general the hotel is very comfortable for holidays or skiing (convenient transportation to all spots). You can rent out at the hotel, but my personal experience was not good, as stuff weren't fits, so skiing was a torture. Previous independent rent (next few streets away) - gave me more fitted equipment.

Excellent hotel in nearly all respects with good value for money. The only issues were that we needed a fridge in the room. The room was very warm even with the heating off which required that the window be left open. The problem with that being that we were woken up by the first train of the day, which was outside the room window, at 07:10 every morning which is a little inconvenient. Also, black (or breakfast or English) tea in the room. Infusions are not any good.

The room didn’t have a proper chair, just a low stool (maybe 18”). There was no A/C, no bar fridge, no ice machine.

This was a great choice for us. The hotel is right next to the train station, and very close to all the shops and restaurants in the town. The room is large, comfortable and has a balcony with beautiful view. There is no fridge in the room, but there is a kettle and coffee/tea. The included breakfast was excellent. From the hotel you can easily walk to the gondolas. The Mount Brevelent gondola is a 20 minute (walk up hill). There are great hiking trails at the top, or you can just watch the paragliders. It's very easy to purchase a ticket for this gondola which opens at 8:15am. The Aiguille du Midi - Chamonix cable car is the main attraction gondola for Mont Blanc. it is very busy and you should purchase your ticket in advance. We were there in August, and the first few days were sold out for the time we wanted. This gondola is mainly for photos, but we saw a lot of experienced hikers (with ropes & ice pics). Chamonix is a great town.

Lots of noise from street and trains

The property is well located on the edge of the pedestrian zone, easy access to restaurants and mountains. The room arrangements are highly unusual with a wall with two doors separating the bed area from the sofa area. The sofa itself was extremely uncomfortable - it can be converted into a bed but the minute you sit on it, the seat cushion keeps sliding out over the front edge. Another major annoyance is that the space is so dark. It has some interesting and attractive accent lighting but there is no overhead lighting. You absolutely cannot read a book in the living room. There are only two small lights in the bedroom - there is a desk-like area in the bedroom but it is way too dark to do anything. Be aware that the hotel is located in two building - we had to go outside to go to breakfast.

Rooms were tiny and no storage

The staff was extremely helpful and as accommodating. Providing drinking water stations at every floor is an amazing commodity. We stored luggage here for 10 days which was simple and inexpensive. Close to everything but not on the main strip. Exceptional breakfast buffet. Highly recommend.

The hotel itself was lovely, the staff however were not. Me and my partner got shouted at by a member of staff and accused of stealing when we were told we could have a coffee in the morning without paying, we complained about this to the manager who didn’t seem overly interested and resolved it by saying we could have a coffee in the morning for the rest of the stay, my partner was then refused a bit of milk to put in the coffee by the members of staff and said we would have to pay for breakfast which is €22 pp if we wanted a dash of milk in our coffee. The hotel was lovely and the surrounding area was beautiful. The staff however tarnished the stay unfortunately

Check in was speedy and room was ready a couple of hours before stated. Reception was friendly and helpful . We didn’t try the breakfast as found plenty of other restaurants to try. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were a nice touch for an afternoon swim . Apart from check didn’t have any other requests for hotel to look into. We were told we weren’t allowed to sit at the bar unless we purchased drink/ food which as a hotel guess we would have expected after a long day trail running to relax with friends , this did ruin the times in between going back out for dinner in the evening . Rooms we had near the swimming pool looked to have recently been refurbed .

Staff were really friendly and helpful on arrival and the room immaculate

For Americans it is the equivalent of staying in an Ikea hotel with terrible service. Check in unwelcoming and curt, as well as resturant and bar. Our room (140) was next to the stairs so we heard people walking up them drunk and loud late into the night, then as early as 6am familes walking down them. Ask to move to but they were all booked. Shower door did not seal properly so bathroom floor flooded They are all about being eco friendly, so much so that when we pulled the sheets back we realized our bedding had probably not been changed because there was long brown hair on it. Shower door did not seal at the bottom properly so it flooded the bathroom. Breakfast was meh. For the price there are far better places to stay. Willing to give further details if asked

Good locaion, good brekfast, good housekeeping staff, but regrettably some reception staffs are unfriendly and arrogant.

早めのチェックイン後４時に部屋に入れますとの事でバックを預けて観光。（最初のスタッフの対応は普通） 戻ると、とにかく対応が最悪。 問いかけに対して全く無視。 一方的な説明。 預けたバックは、何度言ってもどこにあるか教えてくれず、別棟の部屋だったのだが入口も何度言っても教えてくれず。 日本のホテルの対応までは求めませんが最低限の対応もなかった。 最後はめんどくさそうに、バックの場所まで案内頂くが、別棟の部屋の入り口は最後まで教えてくれず。 最後は別棟を指さしていけばわかるとの事。 実際は複雑で作業員さんに教えて頂きました。 アジア人が嫌いなのでは？？ 2度と泊まりません。 非常に残念でした。

Great location, right at the center yet aside (quiet). Small but nice bathroom, simple decor and equipment, nice balcony and amazing mountain views!

Great location, steps from shopping, eating, right beside the train station. Totally walkable. Bus pick up for skiing is right across the pedestrian bridge by train station. Would stay again!

Bra hotell, men som var fullständigt överbefolkat vid frukost. Ta bort de artificiella träden, jag förstår att de ska vara en del av känslan men de står bara i vägen

My stay at Hotel Luke was wonderful! The staff is efficient and friendly. The rooms are nicely appointed. The breakfast was delicious and its location in downtown Chamonix is perfect.

Staff was v helpful. The water bottle and welcome drinks were a nice bonus. Delicious breakfast.

Poor breakfast

Service is exceptional by front desk and support staff. Rooms are small and dated. The room price is ok for what you are getting but restaurant is way overpriced, happy hour advertised but prices make it not worth going. Back side of hotel is not maintained anywhere close to front side. Nice spa.

Location was amazing, the staff was great. Loved the morning breakfast. High quality European breakfast. Easy walk to busses for skiing. Bars, shopping, and restaurants all within a block to a few minutes walk. Would definitely stay again.

Booked this hotel last year under Accor group, Mercure. However, they were aquired by Lykke during our stay.The half board option that we booked was really disappointing! We stayed 2 nights at the hotel & the food served was the same, despite having different menu. After staying in so many hotels that provide meal options, this is the first time i've experience this. 1st night, we had daily vegetable soup, the catch of the day (fish) & chicken breast pasta with mushroom sauce. 2nd night, daily vegetable soup was the same and the main course was supposed to be duck confit but we were told it was not available & we were given chicken breast with vegetable in the same mushroom sauce that was used for the pasta previous night! The reason given was that we did not reserve for the duck confit earlier. Regardless, the hotel should have allocated enough ingredients for the people who has booked half board. Also it doesnt seem to be full at the restaurant, so i wonder how many portions of duck confit did they prepare. The other option of catch of the day(fish is not fresh) was exactly the same as pervious night as well! We did feedback to the staff that night. I don't recommend to add on the half board option. There're better restaurants around the corner. The hotel rooms was clean nicely renovated. Drinking water provided. WC & shower is separated. No camera at room corridor.Coincidently, a cup of yellow liquid was placed right at our doorstep, not sure if it's a prank.

Conveniently located in the center, next to the train station (very quite though). A bit of a waliking distance to the Ski bus stops, which might be a challenge with the skis. Half-board is available, but the menue doesn't change through the week. Ratger snall bathroom even by the European standards. Everything else and the stuff were excellent!
