What truly elevated this trip, though, was the extraordinary staff. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond, and their warmth is what made this stay unforgettable. A very special shout-out to Esther from Guest Services, who was absolutely exceptional. She catered to our every need with such grace, kindness, and attentiveness. Her responsiveness was unmatched — every message, every request, every question was met with immediate care and genuine concern for our family’s comfort. It was clear she truly cared about us, especially our children, and wanted to make sure our celebration was perfect in every way. From coordinating the beautiful birthday room décor to helping arrange every detail behind the scenes, she made us feel like we were her top priority the entire weekend. At the pool bar and restaurant, Hector was fantastic — warm, attentive, and always making sure we were taken care of. Angel, the manager, ensured every meal and every moment ran smoothly, and his team executed every detail.

Very clean,the unique scent is just so relax and peaceful, amazing staff,food (breakfast and dinner PERFECT) drink, pool, the beach area is another level. Everything was beyond what we expected. I definitely recommend this hotels to family and couples. Would definitely go back.

Incredible stay at Edition. The service and condition of the facilities was amazing. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure every need is met. The pool area is sprawling and we never felt a crowd for any experience or meal. The ocean / beach isn't quite the same as most of the Cancun resorts but the pool area makes up for that. Would definitely return to the Edition.

Beautiful and well run, especially for a brand new resort! The architecture was stunning, food was incredible, and staff was more than willing to go above and beyond to make our stay special. Joshua, our guest experience contact, was absolutely the best. He checked in with us frequently and made us feel like such VIPs. Would absolutely recommend the Edition at Kanai if you’re looking for a quiet, high quality, luxury stay in the Riviera Maya.

Tuve una estancia fantástica! La habitación estaba impecable, el personal muy amable y los restaurantes del hotel con muy buena comida y servicio. Cenamos en Ki’is y fue espectacular la comida!!! Si quieren descansar y disfrutar de la playa y de una buena comida tienen que venir a este hotel.

New and well kept, beautiful and elegant property, staff are excellent, the food is good but needs more restaurants, for adding more varieties for whoever staying for a long period

This is a brand spanking new hotel and as such it has all of the blessings (and a few of the kinks) that a new hotel has. To start, the property is gorgeous. Given it is new, we got it at an exceptionally low rate which I imagine will double soon. I preferred it to the St. Regis next door which just felt too big and mall-like. This is cozy yet grand, integrating the beauty of the natural environment. The architecture tells a story of how cenotes in the region were created, with a meteor hitting the land, the hotel radiating from this central "impact point." The food is exceptional and the service is decent (for the most part, with the exception perhaps one person at the front desk who was a bit snarky). While it doesn\'t have some of the perks that other hotels at this price point might (like a highly active Whatsapp concierge) it makes up for it in just being an attentive hotel. This is not really a hotel for folks who might want to go around an do a bunch of regional activities (the prices for activities were pretty high compared to what you can get in nearby playa del carmen) but it is perfect for folks who just want to comfortably lounge at an incredibly private and clean beach. The beach truly was well manicured and incredible -- no worries about seaweed here! Some of the rooms in our crew had some kinks in them (a weirdly functioning safe, clogged drains, etc) but they were quickly fixed. Also make your reservations in advance!

This hotel is the best hotel I’ve stayed at by a long way. The accommodation is beautifully simple but amazingly comfortable. The staff are super helpful and lovely and the food selection is amazing. If you’re thinking of going to Riviera Maya you should definitely consider this hotel.

This Edition is out of this world incredible. The service was impeccable. The grounds were stunning. The rooms were beyond gorgeous and roomy. Every moment was beyond enjoyable. The best hotel yet in Mexico. Only feedback is to add a special turn down service touch and add dumbbells to the gym. Can't wait to go back one day!

Extremely pleasant staff. Everyone here has been very accommodating. We love the quiet and relaxing environment. It is definitely the place to visit if you are truly looking to disconnect for a few days. Amazing attention to detail, from the architecture to the service.

Absolutely loved this place—it’s a little piece of heaven. The adults-only Sol Dol pool quickly became our go-to spot to unwind and soak in the beauty of the resort. What truly made it unforgettable was the incredible service from Rafael Ochoa. He was consistently warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. His attention to detail and genuine care made our experience feel both effortless and luxurious. A special shoutout to Esther, our concierge, who was equally amazing. She gave us a fantastic tour of the hotel, pointed out all the special touches, and was always just a WhatsApp message away whenever we needed anything. The staff at the lobby bar were an absolute blast—fun, friendly, and serving up fantastic drinks with great energy and attentiveness. We’re in love with Edition Kanai. Every single team member we encountered was outstanding. Can’t wait to come back!

Second time at this property in less than 3 months, first time staying 6 nights and this time staying 4 nights. We’re even more impressed after the second stay. The service is at such a highest level around the property. All of the staff is more than happy to go above and beyond. Couldn’t recommend more.

My wife, & I stay at The Edition Riviera Maya this past weekend for her birthday. The property was gorgeous, although the weather wasn’t. Unfortunately, it’s still the end of the hurricane season in Mexico. Thank God, we did get some sunshine though. The place is gorgeous! Every single person was warm, & kind to us. The prices for food, & drinks were expensive, be prepared! I believe they also said that they were holding $450 a night on my credit card, which I thought was unusually high, but I had no problem with checking in or checking out. I felt like the Edition was missing 1 all day casual dining restaurant. I don’t know if it’s because the property is new, & they plan on building some else later or not. They didhave the pool restaurant and room service were available, But it would’ve been nice to have a nice restaurant to eat inside in the AC during the day. I did go next-door to the Saint Regis to eat it one of their restaurants, Torro! That restaurant was truly amazing! I suggest you eat at least one meal there during your day. Trust me it will be worth it! They were able to take us over there by golf cart, too! The only thing negative I have to say about my whole experience is the bartenders down at the beach bar did not make drinks at all. After ordering a few cocktails, & asking for one to be switched out, because it was so bad, which they did do for us…. the bartenders at the beach bar really need to be retrained. It’s pretty bad. Overall, I love this place though.

Brand new hotel, ambience and common areas of the hotel are great. Lot\'s of dinning options too, within the same "master plan" which you can move around in golf carts (driven by someone else). My only complaint is that food was extremely expensive, not even the best high end restaurants charge this much. $40 USD for a cheeseburger at the pool restaurant (with no sides) is an exageration. If you want to grab a quick lunch at the pool restaurant, your bill will be upward of $150 USD with no alcohol consumption
