The hotel is older, but recently renovated in a not so great neighbourhood. The staff is magnificent and the rooms are spotless. There is a 'good' in-house restaurant with several great restaurants near by. The only bad thing is their awful parking and 30 minute wait for $45 / day valet service.

Hotel charges additional fees for credit cards, so be aware the total you see from Expedia is not correct. This should stop, when I book all fees should be included. It's an average tourist class hotel. The gym is a joke.

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut. Die Innenstadt beginnt direkt vor der Tür und mehrere Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Bis zum Hafen (Fähren) sind es 20 Gehminuten. Mein Zimmer war von guter Größe und zur Airedaile Street hin ruhig gelegen. Der vorhandene Kühlschrank war klein, mit Glastüren ausgestattet und für die Nutzung als Minibar konzipiert. Nachts fand ich die angezeigten Temperaturen etwas störend. Die Zimmerreinigung fiel an manchen Tagen etwas unvollständig aus. In der Hotelwäscherei standen zwei Waschmaschinen und zwei Trockner zur Verfügung. Die Benutzung kostete jeweils 4 NZ$. Waschmittel gab es kostenlos. Wenn man kein Bargeld dabei hatte, konnte man Münzen an der Rezeption kaufen. Das Gym war klein, hatte aber ein vernünftiges Laufband. Das war für mich interessant. Vormittags war der Andrang überschaubar und ich trainierte allein.

Great location Walking distance to shopping and restaurants etc Clean, comfortable, nicely furnished room. Parking bit awkward as nowhere to leave car while check in and arrange valet parking Check in was self check in via screen - also gave you key card - I personally didn’t like this bother of putting name and card details etc in - would prefer a person

The room was wonderful. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. We used the valet parking which we cannot fault. Breakfast was very good and a selection. Easy walk into Auckland to look around and get to the Sky Tower

We stayed at the Airedale suites at Queens street for 3 short nights .we found it to be a great location in Auckland CBD , friendly and helpful staff with a smile however , the we found the rooms were left uncleaned for the 3 days . The toilets and vanity and the mirror all left dirty which was a huge disappointment for us . After a long day of activities and sight seeing , we would come back to uncleaned amenities and that didn’t leave a great impression on us.

I stayed at the Legacy Airedale Hotel Auckland and was disappointed by the inconsistency and noise issues. The room was generally clean, but complimentary items weren’t restocked — the cocoa sachet and face wipes were only provided for the first two nights, even though I paid the same rate every night. The counter wasn’t wiped properly after cleaning, and the carpet didn’t seem thoroughly vacuumed. No slippers were provided either. The biggest issue was noise. My room (Classic Room, Level 4) was next to what sounded like an engine or generator, creating a constant loud buzzing all night. When I asked to move, reception said it required an upgrade fee — it felt like guests were being nudged to pay extra for quieter rooms. Sadly, I left sleep-deprived and disappointed. The hotel looks nice online, but the service inconsistency and poor soundproofing make it hard to recommend unless you’re willing to pay more for an upgraded room.

Nice large room with a surprise upgrade. We have stayed before on a number of occasions and our stay is always quiet and comfortable. The beds is comfortable. This was our first time in a room with a sink/fridge and small sitting area. Very nice if you are staying more than one night. We did note an odd smell in the bathroom from the shower drain but this dissipated after we ran some water.

I really enjoyed my stay. Well furnished and clean modern room. The big and comfortable bed gave me great rest to help beat the jetlag. I had nice conversation with the bartender and guests downstairs, and I quite enjoyed the breakfast. The Japanese restaurant immediately across the street was good and has apparently been there a while.

The room is nicely decorated, clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable, there was a nespresso machine and a small fridge. The location of the hotel was great for what we wanted it, which was across the street from the Town Hall. The room had a spacious sitting area. However, the bathroom was quite small. The space between the bed and TV to go to the bathroom was very tight and the view from the window… well, the worse we have ever had in a hotel. There was no view because the windows were frosted due to the fact that outside was some horrible area of the building where the aircon duct was located, or at least we believed so. Of course, with frosted windows, the lighting wasn’t great. The worse thing about the hotel was the buffet breakfast during the weekend. There was nothing redeemable about it. Like the view, it was the worst breakfast I have ever had to pay for. We had stayed at the hotel once before and the room, of the same kind was much better, so I suppose we were unlucky with the room we got this time.

First room we were given had a very loud air conditioner outside the window which meant there was no way we could sleep. After complaining we were moved to a quieter location. Staff knew about the noise when we complained so this is a problem other people have also experienced.

clean and comfortable, staff communication could be better, wasn't told about potential construction noise at check in had to read about it once in our room, luckily we weren't impacted at all. Breakfast first morning was a fiasco as no eggs and no bacon! were able to choose alternative and given free drink that evening to compensate, which we needed after fire alarm at 11pm but staff were amazing with the fire drill/evacuation.

The property is a good value and in a good but noisy location, but deserves a 3-star at best. The ONLY person waiting on a long check-in line was impolite and unwilling to text us when the room was ready, even though we were told it would be at least 1 hour later than normal check-in. Otherwise, everyone was very nice and helpful. The room had a >6' diameter pole between the bed and the bathroom, so I rate room design as poor. Overall, for USA citizens, think Holiday Inn, because it is on par with that.

The hotel itself was absolutely lovely and very comfortable. Just be aware that there are extensive roadworks in Auckland and Uber drivers may feel uncomfortable driving directly to the hotel.

Excellent stay. Great location. Just a shame they were doing work on the pavement in front so front entrance had fencing everywhere and was hard to find parking to unload. The room was fabulous, felt very luxurious. Great stay overall

Generally good hotel, a great location, but a huge issue with the breakfast arrangrments, which just do not work. You have to order one item at a time, then wait to consume it, then call waiter to order next Item and wait.... Far too slow. They need to install buffet breakfast. Now! I have never seen so many complainig customers. thing and wait...

This hotel is in a great location for walking along Queen Street for shopping and dining. Our room was very comfortable - although the bathroom was a bit small. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. From keeping our luggage early to arranging an early take-away breakfast for us, they were always pleasant and helpful. Do yourself a favor and eat at the restaurant - the food was fabulous! Just be sure to get to breakfast early, they get pretty busy after 9.

Great location, close to the gallery and downtown and excellent fresh made breakfast I mean one of the best breakfast I ever have… I guess because it does have a real restaurant in the lobby so the food is top quality but it did take some time but it’s worth it if u are not in a rush. Happy with everything so will recommend to all my friends…

I really loved staying here. It was only for one night but everyone was so nice. Rooms were beautiful and clean. Great location; walkable to everything you’d like to see. Food!! Omg the restaurant had delicious food. If I ever come back to Auckland, this would be my place to stay.

We always have a great time at the Airedale, the room was upgraded, the free drinks on arrival, the warm welcome back from the staff, it’s just the best!! The breakfast is 5 star!!
