the location is quite convenient. The elevator is very small and only reaches 2 out of 4 floors, with a steep stair to get to the 4th floor (quite challenging with big luggage).

Well located hotel, Parking out side just to go to reception desk is tricky. I paid them to park at another hotel round the corner. The hotel is manned by one person. Room was good with great shower. Breakfast was continental and good. Busy hotel. I will stay again. Close to Theatres - 2 underground stops and short walk. Uber taxis cost £15-20

We only stayed for a night, it was comfortable enough, location was ideal. Unfortunately the lift was out of order which was inconvenient as I was travelling with a buggy and small child but we were only on the first floor.

Within easy walking distance from Paddington station. Plenty of good eating places nearby. Good simple breakfast. Disappointed that our rooms were only accessible via a flight of stairs but help with our cases was appreciated.

Very pleasantly surprised - I required a room for a night - a very short stay. Expected something below average I was very surprised with the room - small yet practical, good location and the most important absolutely spotlessly clean. Shower was excellent high powered, didn't have breakfast as I checked out at 06:00 am. Definitely stay here again

A last minute booking. Room was dirty and unclean. Toilet was green. Grouting needs a good scrub. Booked SUPERIOR double room. Got a room with 2 beds. Cleaner came into room whilst we were out. Only changed 1 bed . Breakfast included but disappointed. Toast is pre made so not hot. Orange juice looked mouldy. Croissants but cold. Not a pleasant experience.

The Alexandra Hotel is not suited for stays over 1 night. It is very dated and not clean. There were still other people hairs on the bed that stuck to my clothes which highly proves that the sheets were not changed after last guest checked out. The room was very small but had the bare minimum required to be adequate. But the shower was a very tight squeeze and there was no hot water on the evening of check in, but next morning was fine. Transport links are good so that's a plus. And many places to eat just outside. The continental breakfast was sparce but again adequate.

+ Single room ok size and relatively clean + Good bathroom size, towels & hairdryer + Wardrobe with hangers + Good location + Breakfast in price but had to leave early so did not use and cannot comment - No hot water (not a drop!) - Very noisy - you can hear everyone running up and down the stairs and snoring next door/room above & traffic - Bed pretty uncomfortable - Needs some TLC - Staff was ok but could be more proactive in assisting/answering basic questions

The hotel was very convenient for Paddington station which was what we needed. Got a very cheap deal and whilst the room, sheets and bathroom were clean and the neighbourhood quiet, the hotel is very tired. The room was extremely hot making it difficult to sleep (despite it not being hot weather, only using a sheet and having the fan on), plus we were in the basement and the carpet on the stairs down there was truly filthy. I probably would pay a bit more next time for a better hotel, but if money is tight and you don't mind the heat, the room itself was clean and bed ok.

Good location ,on top of places to eat and drink. Room was nice and clean, downside for me was quite noisy rooms around you doors bang quite loud when people come back at night also the room above had the fan on all night and it just seemed to hum down the wall all night.

Really disappointed in having no Wifi. Staff said it wasn't working in our building, but it was terrible in the check-in lobby also. Didn’t know we'd be in a totally separate building across the street. Our room very small, but clean. Main building had a nice Continental Breakfast.

Hotel location is perfect everything is very accessible. At reception staff was quiet rude no hospitality no welcoming attitude. At arrival staff asked me to fill a card i found on card alot of details asked but no GDPR reference put there so i write it down my data should be dealt with confidentiality and must not be used anywhere else. Receptionist (male) start questioning me on this WHY U PUT THIS WHY WHY this is hotel not shop etc. I just politely said when i agree to all of your terms and conditions why you start questioning me with one sentence that i put to secure my side. No bath matt. Bath towel was on floor as bath matt. No tooth paste. TV screen was very old.

Ok I stay at a lot of hotels in that street. What’s good about this one is they have a little breakfast included. The staff was very rude though. Saw me coming in and left reception, on his mobile. Came back as I called him and fussed about my signature, “I won’t accept a scribble, can you do your signature properly”. I’m nearly 50. My signature is what it is. I had to show my drivers licence picture of my signature for him to accept it. The room was in the basement and was super noisy. Bathroom light kept flickering. WiFi was awful in the basement,

The stay was good. They will take your bags early. But unfortunately we left something behind in the room and rather than act as if they cared they brushed it off. I understand it was our mistake but you would assume they would at least act as if they wanted to try to locate it. Instead we are told that all the cleaning staff is new and maybe they will be able to contact us if "anything comes up". I would love to be able to edit this review in the future and let everyone know the staff attempted to find the lost item.

Check in was simple and esay. Room was clean, and cleaned daily by friendly staff. Towels were replaced every day. Bathroom was showing a lot of signs of neglect. Toilet seat not fixed, so moved when you sat on it (even after asking for it to be fixed) which made it awkward as toilet positioned in a very confined space, a few tiles were cracked, very dirty and dusty behind the sink unit and rust on the radiator. Also, there was nowhere to hang the bath towels after use. Breakfast was adequate, but a bit bland. Staff prepared toast and left it in piles, so was cold when you got to eat it. Only full fat milk available for cereal, a choice including semi and skimmed milk would be better. Staff were helpful. Great location for Paddington station and plenty of nearby shops and restaurants. Also, great position to visit Hyde Park.

Don’t think I’ll stop in this hotel again bagging of doors very rude staff filthy towels which smelt of urine with stains and 1 pointed out to staff no apology no explanation just grunted. The toilet had marks on the shower had gunk all around the side of it. Bedding did not smell like it’s been washed in awhile. As well as the front desk was on Man for about 10 minutes with peoples personal information, left lying around on paperwork which anybody can access.

The acoustics are bad as we could hear people clearly next door to us. Our room was right up the top of the hotel with a steep staircase which would not suit a lot of people with walking issues. Breakfast was until 9.15. We turned up at 8.50 and there was hardly anything left. The staff were friendly and the hotel was in a good location.

Very close to Paddington Station, surprisingly economic, and while the overall environment was basic, the room was fully equipped with new sanitary items and shower, plus a good TV and fully adequate Tea / Coffee facilities and reasonably comfortable bed. Plumbing in shower was clogged-water was spilling out and it became disgusting. Too late for any maintenance to be done. We had to wait until the next day. There was no option given to change to another room. Breakfast was mediocre…a woman was handing out cold toasted bread. Need I say more.

Room like a shoe box. Curtains short letting in light. Bathroom small but ok. Very close to transport is the only big plus. Breakfast good but some very unhealthy practices. Like tongs used by patrons being kept on the meats and cheeses in the bins. A health inspector would close breakfast down. Believe me with people coughing and sneezing then handling those tongs, discusting.
