One lift and when used by housekeeping staff and unavailable you had to use the narrow steep spiral staircase to avoid long waits. A compromise between a great location and small awkward rooms with less than ideal access.

• No air conditioning, despite being advertised o We were not even told this until we had moved into the rooms and unpacked! o Had to sleep with windows open and listening to the street noises. o They said the A/C was “under repair” but it looked more like it was being installed. • Hotel was under complete renovation o Narrow hallways filled with construction related items o Room very basic and run down o Other rooms on the floor were being rejuvenated. o Toilet top needed to be removed to flush the toilet • One room was on the 5th floor and the elevator only goes to the 4th. • Elevator very slow to respond and often tied up by the cleaning staff or other workers. • Last day – The large crane needed to put the A/C on the roof arrives – at 6:30, No sleep for us!

The hotel is very well situated in the 1st Arrondismont, close to the Louvre. The hotel is dated; the elevator didn't work the full 5 nights we stayed, this was a problem as my traveling companion is handicapped and they put us on the 4th floor. They finally found us accommodations on the 1st floor, but that still required a hard to navigate, narrow, circular staircase. The cafe on the corner was excellent, great food! Cafe Sainte Honore is the best!

This hotel is in a good location. Close to a lot of dining and the metro. The building is an old historic building so rooms are small. Our room was okay. Had to walk carefully around the bed to get to the bathroom for your shins will pay the price. Our room also had a tub with a hand held shower head, but no curtain so must be very careful not to make a huge mess. I understand a lot of the rooms are different so other rooms had stand up showers. The elevator is very small. It fits 3 people without luggage so multiple people will need multiple trips. The stairs are small and spiral so not good for luggage.

What a nightmare. I searched specifically for a hotel with aircon. I even called to ensure they had aircon before I booked. Well it turns out they have it, but they will not turn it on. The rooms are also super heated by boiler pipes in the walls - no joke, my gummy vitamins melted in the room where I was trying to sleep. There was a window, but it opened to a tiny courtyard so there was no air flow. I spent the first day walking across town to buy fans, which barely helped. By the second morning, the receptionist offered me some money back if I wanted to leave and go somewhere else. It was half of what I had paid for 4 nights, so still a ripoff. I left for another hotel after he processed the refund to my CC. Well, when I got home from the trip I checked and the refund never showed up. I paid a fortune for one miserable night, plus more than that amount again for another hotel for 3 of those nights. These people are crooks.

Great location at what I felt was a good price. Checkin was easy but not necessarily friendly. I knew the room would be small, but traveling alone i only needed a clean bed and shower. I am 5'9" 178# and the shower was small for me. Space was about 2ft by 2ft so if you are a larger person, it will be a struggle for you. No firsthand experience, but ladies, easy to guess no leg shaving is happening inside the shower. The rest of the bathroom was also cramped. Bed was average comfort with just enough room to walk around it.

The 2 stars is for the location. The hotel is outdated, super small, and not worth the price. Booked 2 twins beds and ended with a double bed. Was barely enough room for me and my husband to walk around. The two of us barely fit in the elevator, and took the super narrow stairs. If you come down the stairs with anything bigger than a purse it’s a tight fit. Only ideal thing about this hotel was the 5 minute walk to the louvre. Doesn’t look like the pictures at all

Loved this place so much! The room was great and the staff was great especially when I got super sick and they were so kind when they cleaned it up for me and kept checking in on me when they saw me! The hotel its self is really great and close to most things a tourist would want to do or close to transportation incase you want to go far! 10/10 would go again!

I Always love staying here. The location is at the heart of the city and very easy to travel around the city. The staff always goes above and beyond to ensure you are happy with your stay. I have been staying here every time i visit Paris and the staff has always been very kind, welcoming, and very professional. In addition, the hotel is very clean and have amazing breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to all friends, family, and colleagues ! Finally special thanks to Nassim for always treating guests like family. Thank you from the button of my heart. The first night we were out in a room on the top floor, my daughter dint like the stairs so we asked to change and they did no problem the next day, breakfast we good and plentiful. The new room the only way to fill the bath was via the shower asked at reception and told this was the only way. Stage on reception were great as every night we asked for milk for tea in the room and they got it no problem. Until the Thursday night the guy on reception was rude and totally unhelpful milk was a strange no. His attitude was disrespectful and unacceptable and not nice.had to go to the teddy bear cafe on the corner where we had been a few times and got milk from there no problem ( great place to eat and staff are wonderful) Location of the hotel is fantastic.
