Palihouse is a quaint hotel on the street of Hyde Park. The room was very clean and spacious. It hosts a full alcoholic and non-alcoholic bar and several comfort aminities. The staff was excellent. The only con is that it is not sound buffered and you can hear everything from people outside to guests moving up and down the hall. Parking is very limited but a parking garage is only a few feet from the hotel. If noise isnt an issue this is an excellent stay in the middle of anything you could ever want to eat, see or do, in a walking distance.

This hotel was just opened in Nov 2023. It was very clean, well run and the rooms were well appointed. The only disappointment was no on-site fitness facility. The parking options were $30/day for valet or the front desk associate said that most people park either behind the hotel or in the garage across the street. The garage does say no overnight parking, but the associate said no one ever checks. We ended up finding a spot behind the hotel so we didn't encounter any problems. The hotel is very convenient and right next to many shopping and dining options. We would definitely recommend this boutique hotel.

This hotel is gorgeous and in a wonderful part of town. There are late night dining options very close by, coffee and shops. In the lobby is a wonderful bar/restaurant that serves food and drink all day. What a jewel of a hotel! The staff were outstanding.

his boutique hotel is a gem! It’s located right in the center of a charming, upscale shopping and dining area, just blocks from the beautiful Bayshore Boulevard — perfect for exercise or a scenic stroll. Parking was easy with a lot just behind the property. The room could not have been more stylish or well-appointed. The linens and bed were extremely comfortable, and there was plenty of space — even enough to entertain a few friends for drinks and appetizers before heading out to dinner in the neighborhood. The bathroom layout was thoughtful and elegant, and the in-room snacks and drinks were a great touch. The hotel’s bar area is beautifully designed, a great spot to relax before or after going out. While there isn’t a gym on-site, there is a safe and convenient facility located right across the street, which makes it easy to keep up with workouts while traveling. I loved how convenient everything was: grocery stores and a CVS just a few blocks away in case you forgot anything, and only about 20 minutes from Tampa Airport. I can’t wait to stay here again — it’s the perfect blend of comfort, style, and location.

Our stay was great! However, we could tell that the room was not cleaned thoroughly. There were stains and other marks within the shower and bathroom that we were able to easily remove with a towel. The kitchenette sink was stained with coffee that was easily wipeable with some water and a towel as well. Care to cleaning details was not very high…

I wanted to like this place so bad because of how beautiful it was but I was sadly left heavily disappointed. Upon arrival the in house restaurant was not up and running serving food. I was told that the over at the kitchen broke and remain broken during my complete stay here so I did not get the bed and breakfast experience I was hoping for. During my 3 day stay here room service was never provided dispite me requesting it. This resulted in a dirty bed, soiled towels I had to use day after day. AND sadly it didn’t even there. The shower experience was very poor. From severely low water pressure in the shower and empty soap and shampoo dispensers I was unable to take a proper shower. Again, this was left unresolved as room service never attended my room despite the fact that I saw them in my hallway every morning as I left for my day activities. If possible I would love to be connected to a manager about these concerns.

Phenomenal property - new, clean, centrally located, and practical. The setting is very retro and intimate - felt exclusive and luxurious. Nice staff and bar, but again, outstanding location, location, location! The only set back was the extremely low water pressure in the shower - additionally, water temp maxed at warm and released from only half of the shower head - this was torture for me😫. Also, toilet paper quality was very poor - ineffective and uncomfortable. Outside of those setbacks, property was a dream.

I love boutique hotels and this was one of my favorites. The decor was charming and the room was incredibly comfortable. We loved the little Smeg fridge and the nespresso machine! The Diptyque toiletries were an added little luxury and smelled amazing.

Great stay. Extremely clean. Comfortable bed. Love this hotel and central to the little Hyde Park Village. Reminds me of a Little Anthropologie bedroom. The only downfall was you could hear the Bass from music playing all through the night and in the morning.

Very nicely appointed hotel and the room itself, while small, was comfortable. There was missing coffee pod but when we rang the desk they showed up quickly. We did find the shower to lack pressure and the water was warm rather than the hot shower we prefer. We enjoyed drinks at the bar and the location was great. Overall it was a good experience, however at that price point our expectations were higher

What a beautiful property. The staff was friendly and accommodating, especially Lexi at the front desk. Bar is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and decorated in a cool retro theme. Walking distance to everywhere in Hyde Park. Love it all!

Boutique hotel in a great location - nearby coffee shops, shopping, restaurants, close to Bay for walk/run in the morning. A couple of free water bottles in the room would go a long way. Did not receive VIP benefits and a little disorganized at the front desk for which I had to deal with an issue after our checkout.

I am very disappointed with the customer service of Palihouse and Hotels.com, because I missed their check in window, they cancelled my reservation, charged me a late fee and charged me for my stay. When Hotels.com called Palihouse, they refused to hold my reservation leaving me with no where to stay in Tampa once my flight finally landed. I expected more from a hospitality service that boasts luxury, Hotels.com also did not let me know my reservation was cancelled. It was a huge blunder. As a regular travel for business, I was giving the Palihouse Hyde Park an opportunity for repeat business and unfortunately they were a great disappointment. I will continue supporting other luxury brands over them.

Had never heard of this brand before but was pleasantly surprised by the qualify and service at this wonderful boutique hotel! I will look for other Pali's and try to stay there when I can. This is an exceptionally great place to stay if you have a group (wedding or other event) because it's so easy to bump into each other and congregate in the lobby/common area. The service was top-notch with each person handling anything that was needed in real time (no waiting for so-and-so to come bring me an iron and ironing board, the front desk person just did it). As a real estate lawyer, I had to find out more about the brand and its ownership/team. Looking forward to seeing this one grow!

his boutique hotel is a gem! It’s located right in the center of a charming, upscale shopping and dining area, just blocks from the beautiful Bayshore Boulevard — perfect for exercise or a scenic stroll. Parking was easy with a lot just behind the property. The room could not have been more stylish or well-appointed. The linens and bed were extremely comfortable, and there was plenty of space — even enough to entertain a few friends for drinks and appetizers before heading out to dinner in the neighborhood. The bathroom layout was thoughtful and elegant, and the in-room snacks and drinks were a great touch. The hotel’s bar area is beautifully designed, a great spot to relax before or after going out. While there isn’t a gym on-site, there is a safe and convenient facility located right across the street, which makes it easy to keep up with workouts while traveling. I loved how convenient everything was: grocery stores and a CVS just a few blocks away in case you forgot anything, and only about 20 minutes from Tampa Airport. I can’t wait to stay here again — it’s the perfect blend of comfort, style, and location.

The Palihouse is a great little Boutique hotel, with room for improvement. The location in Hyde Park Village is excellent with walking to restaurants and shops. We loved the decor, kind of retro/mid century modern. The room for improvement has to do with our street facing windows, that were right below an overhead marquee. This windows should have blackout shades or something to deter the bright light from coming through the wooden shutters. There is no shelving/cabinet in the bathroom to put your toiletries, one shelf above the toilet where the towels are located. However, the shelving is bars and nothing will “stand” on them securely. The tub is quite slippery, this should be addressed for liability purposes. Last, but not a deal breaker, the bar closes at 10pm and so does every other bar in the area on week nights.

I love this place. The decor is very cozy. Retro yet modern. The bar had great cocktails and staff is very friendly.The location is perfect in the middle of all Hyde Park has to offer. I highly recommend.

My first trip to Tampa, and I am happy to say I made the best decision by staying at Palihouse. Centrally located, the area has high end shops, restaurants, and safe and beautiful for walking. Just a few blocks away from the water, absolutely perfect. Restaurant and bar on site, and boutique style accommodations.

I wanted to like this place so bad because of how beautiful it was but I was sadly left heavily disappointed. Upon arrival the in house restaurant was not up and running serving food. I was told that the over at the kitchen broke and remain broken during my complete stay here so I did not get the bed and breakfast experience I was hoping for. During my 3 day stay here room service was never provided dispite me requesting it. This resulted in a dirty bed, soiled towels I had to use day after day. AND sadly it didn’t even there. The shower experience was very poor. From severely low water pressure in the shower and empty soap and shampoo dispensers I was unable to take a proper shower. Again, this was left unresolved as room service never attended my room despite the fact that I saw them in my hallway every morning as I left for my day activities. If possible I would love to be connected to a manager about these concerns.

The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and the pillow was too large. Slept horribly. Also for New Year’s Eve, the bar closed at 3pm! Bartender was not very friendly, but all the other staff was amazing

This hotel is gorgeous and in a wonderful part of town. There are late night dining options very close by, coffee and shops. In the lobby is a wonderful bar/restaurant that serves food and drink all day. What a jewel of a hotel! The staff were outstanding.

This is a wonderful hotel! Friendly and helpful staff, fun furnishings and very comfy bed. Top of the line products in bathrooms and great in-room bar choices. Lobby has small, cozy bar and gathering area. Hyde Park Village has a lot of choices for food and shopping. I highly recommend!

2nd time staying at this property while in Tampa. Great location. Rooms are always nice. The bathroom sink could be a little larger to help accommodate toiletries. And more than 2 towels would be nice. If you like a rock hard bed you will love these. Overall not a bad place.

This is a very unique hotel in the middle of the Hyde Park area of Tampa. In our three days there we felt that the guests at the hotel, local restaurants and shops we went to were younger, business people both local and from all over, in a good way. Everything is on the second floor but that is no problem for their 36 rooms. The front desk and restaurant staff were very helpful and they knew, and liked, the neighborhood. The hotel feels like a welcoming private club, with a late bar. We had a handicap accessible room with a questionable shower seat that I fixed to my liking. That needs a second look. We definitely plan to return as the hotel offers access to both Tampa and St Petersburg, and I liked the room.
