Friendly staff and the room was perfect. Had a whole kitchen, washing machine with drying function, a comfortable bed and couch plus sunset views from the balcony. Only - is the construction noise by the pool. Its next to Sheikh Zayed Road, so a good location to explore the city from.

Checkin at 3am was seamless. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel facilities were better than expected. The room was excellent. Lots of space, a great balcony, and a well equipped kitchen. There was a small supermarket at the rear of the building and another about 200m towards the Canal. The canal walk is clean and easy to follow and the beach was about 30-40 minutes along that. The whole of Dubai is a building site and it is a city for motorists so don't expect quiet at any time. The hotel has three pools open from 7am to 10pm with a fair number of loungers and to your seat food and drink service. One pool is a 20m 'lane' swimming pool though some people don't seem to appreciate this and can get in the way! Fundamentally, I was very happy. It wasn't the hotel's fault that so much building is going on, which Google maps etc don't reflect. Bolt is everywhere and very reasonable for getting around. I used them a lot and never had to wait more than 2 minutes.

Extremt mycket oväsen från närliggande bygge, även på nätterna, svårt att sova. Endast sol vid poolen fram till strax efter kl 12, sen låg hela poolområdet i skugga resten av dagen. Städarna lämnade nästan alltid för få badhanddukar, ibland inte en enda, utan bara små handdukar för händerna.

Es war super gelegen um die bekanntesten Punkte von Dubai zu sehen. Das Valet Parking war kostenlos. Es gab sogar einen kostenlosen Shuttle zur Dubai Mall. Pool, Spielplatz und Kids Club waren ein Traum. Das Apartment war super. Nur die Küche war etwas spartanisch ausgestattet.

The halls smelled bad - the room was not cleaned properly- the amenities were not refilled not even filled when I first checked in - the AC was not cooling as it should although it was on the lowest temperature. Unfortunately it was not a great experience.

There is a massive construction in front of the apartments that make IMPOSIBLE to sleep because noise is 24/7 You cannot take a shower without water gettting out of the shower because drain doesnt work.

We booked a room for two adults and two children. Upon arrival, the front desk informed us there would be an additional charge of 180 AED per child for extra beds, totaling 360 AED. The receptionist was rude and unpleasant, suggesting that if we didn’t want to pay, our children could sleep on the floor. After a long discussion and requesting to speak with a manager, they agreed to provide one extra bed for free and a crib for the other child, even though our child is not a baby. I felt that the manager was annoyed by my request for free beds, and it seemed like we were placed in the worst room in the hotel as a form of retaliation. Our room was on the first floor, facing a train track, and adjacent to the elevator. The noise from the elevator chime and passing trains made it difficult to sleep. Additionally, the room had flies and mosquitoes, and the curtain fell off when we tried to close it. Overall, this was a disappointing stay, and I would not recommend this hotel

I fully paid upfront for a 7-night stay at a two bedroom apartment hotel at the Damac Maison Aykon City. Both my mother and my names were on the reservation. My mom checked in first as she arrived earlier. She was insulted by the treatment of the checkin reception folks who demanded some 250 dhirams to be paid whereas in my upfront payment all local taxes had also been paid and they insultingly commented how a woman traveling could not have 250 dhirams on her. Harassing my poor 75-year old mother was in poor taste. When I checked in the next morning, the reception folks acted clueless although my name was on the room reservation. The breakfast spread at Etci Umut left a lot to desire. Rather than a buffet style continental spread representing the wide cultural smorgasbord of people visiting and staying there, the fare was almost the same daily, a limited standard Turkish fare and in fact not fresh. The gym needs an upgrade of at least a couple of cable workout machines to keep up with the modern times. In the apartment, the bed pillows were so thin that they gave me neck cramps/sprain. For the amount of $$$ paid, the value experienced in terms of treatment, food, comfort, amenities is lacking.
