The second room we got was clean and the heater worked, but no tv. There was no bar, lounge or exercise room as listed in amenities. The property was a mess due to renovations. All common areas and hallways were dusty. This property should not be open until renovations are completed.

Staff was friendly. Hot tub was nice and hot. Downfall. Pizza sauce on the wall by garbage by office desk. Corners in bathroom were dirty on the floors and the walls in the bathroom could use a good cleaning. And bathroom sink drain needs a clean out it definitely stinks when running water.

Boy , the only one bad thing is the shower did not work Saturday morning other than that the motel was very nice quiet even though they had a basketball team staying there never heard any noise at all and that’s the second time we’ve stayed there during the state tournament

I liked how big the room was. Thats about it. Terrible customer service at front desk. He gave us keys to someone elses room that was still staying there. Pool is only 3ft. Kids were swimming, found out an hour afterwards the pool was supposed to be closed the whole time because someone pooped in the pool. Not sure why it was still accessible. Front desk was on his cell phone having a intimate convo while checking people in. 2 tvs only 1 worked. Room seemed a little on the dirty side.

The room was nice but not properly cleaned as I found trash through out the room. The bed was so uncomfortable (king) thin and not much padding. Felt the springs. Pillows were thin and didnt hold any weight. Overall, the location, staff and environment was good. Just think the beds could use some updating. Especially when you are traveling, paying for sleep, unable to do so with lack of bedding comfort.

The staff closes breakfast at 9am and we werent aware. We got there at 9:10 and noticed the hot food.was gone. We saw some cereal and milk and were trying to just grab some cold cereal and milk for my 3 small children. They snatched the food, locked the milk, and walked off right in front of us. It felt very unfriendly that they didnt acknowledge us and hustled to get ot all locked down.

Booking was easy and quickly done. Patti checked us in and she was awesome!!! Wish I could say the same thing about the guy who was working Monday morning. There was no coffee available in the morning and he seemed totally disinterested in helping out or doing anything about it. The room was spacious and bright. Large window which let in lots of light. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The washroom was large. The room was very clean. The hotel was quiet. Breakfast offered was a waffle and no coffee. Would definitely stay here again.

Booked a room with a king bed and a pull out couch with a double bed. Got checked in and put our things into the room. The front staff guy seemed stressed out but it was busy so I get it. We came back to the room at 9:30pm and pulled out the bed part of the couch and there was no mattress, it was missing. I call down and tell the guy and he says what do you want me to do?. I say find me a mattress or change rooms? He than brings me up a crappy single mattress which only could fit one kid on it. I won't be booking there again and would strongly suggest you don't either! The pool and place was showing it's years and lack of up keep.

You could tell that they were switching over from an old hotel name to a new hotel name. But it felt pretty sketchy around the hotel. For example, beat up cars in the parking lot, people driving around in vehicles that it shouldn't probably be driving though a hotel parking lot. I just felt unsafe outside our room. My husband wouldn't let me leave the room without him. That's how unsafe he and I felt.

It's was just fine for our one night. They are renovating so the pool was not working and there was some Reno supplies around. There really isn't a lot of choices for breakfast, but it is only continental. They did have waffles, cereal and bread/bagels to toast. Coffee wasn't very good though.

We booked this room based on previous reviews and the fact that they had a hot tub. After a long drive, we were looking forward to that. Upon arrival assign a reception says fitness centre down for maintenance hot tub down for maintenance. The hotel was under renovation. The breakfast room was half full of construction material. The breakfast was very limited. The room itself was clean and comfortable, except the hot water in the shower wasn’t even very hot. We picked up numerous nails in the parking lot from the construction. Fortunately, they weren’t in our tires. possibly once construction is completed it could be a better hotel. But on another trip through Minot, it won’t be our first choice.

The Highland was clean and welcoming. Nice hotel. Only thing that could improve is the breakfast. Strictly continental: bread and jellies, muffins, yogurt, waffles, no eggs or bacon.

It was a very nice setup inside the hotel and very well kept. We liked the hot tub. We weren't impressed with breakfast cuz all there was were waffles and cereal and bread items...no eggs or any kind of meat. No creamer out for the coffee at the breakfast area or in the room.
