My Home at Columbus

Room was horrible, very filthy, beds rocking and shaking, tv didn’t work, fire detectors not available all torn off with visible wires. Restroom was inhabitable, second room offered was even worse and had ROACHES. Pictures available

This hotel should NOT even be listed with Hotels.com! If I could give it ZERO stars I would. The nightly rate was good, but it was filthy. We literally purchased Lysol and Clorox wipes to clean & disinfect the room. The bathroom floor was dirty, the bathtub was not clean. The condition of the bathroom was awful. It was obvious the surfaces in the room had not been touched. The way this room looked shows the company who owns it could care less about its condition. Also after a rain storm water was coming in underneath the door as well as in the corner coming in around the air conditioner unit near electrical outlets. We had to use our towels to put down at the door and in the corner to soak up the water and after asking for more towels, they refused to give us any more to use to get the water up. We asked to be moved to another room upstairs but was told nothing was available. We decided to stay in Columbus for our grandson’s college graduation in Starkville, MS. Please note places to stay were limited due to multiple graduations at Mississippi State. We tried getting a room at another hotel, they were either booked or it would have cost hundreds of dollars that we didn’t have. So we decided to tolerate the situation. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone! The housekeepers at this hotels are doing a terrible job and it’s obvious they do not care. WE DESIRE A REFUND!

I am 45 years old and in the 90's i would party in some pretty rundown places. This place was the worse place I have ever seen! There was no toilet paper in the room, the toilet seat was so loose I hoovered all weekend, the floors were filthy and the bathroom "air vent" was coved with dusr and toilet paper. There was 1 white bat towel and 2 light brown hand towel. I used my crocs in the shower.

There are so many issues with this property, where does one even start. Let's start with the obvious, the roaches. There are roaches everywhere. They are outside and inside. They are on the floors and on the walls. The room itself is large, but it's extremely dirty. The black mold on the A/C unit and on the ceiling is an issue. It was causing issues with my breathing towards the end of my stay. There is black junk in between the joints on the floor that will stick to your feet and it doesn't come off easily. The tub is broken and rusty. The shower head is also black with mold. The room was damp all the time. The sheets were cold and damp no matter what I would do. That's probably why there is so much mold. The water comes out red and smells horrible from every tap. DO NOT drink the water. Don't use it for coffee, and if you can avoid using it for bathing, even better. I used the shower once, my eyes watered, and my skin was itchy and burning. I started using my gym membership to take showers. There is a large courtyard where people would sit and talk all night, play music, and sometimes kick a soccer ball around. It's loud and the smell of weed is everywhere every day and all night long. If you can avoid staying here, you are better off. I am only sad for the staff. The staff is really great and they deserve a better property to run.

Dirty floor, millions of roaches inside everywhere , and very pool conditions of rooms and bathroom. Cheap price but never come back

Staff was friendly. Room was very outdated. Enamel peeling off bathtub/shower walls. Rust stains in tub. I assume the room was so cheap because we split the cost with the bugs hiding under the direct tv box.

Had roaches everywhere. Stains were all on the bes. Floor looked like it hasn't been swept or mopped in months. Bathroom was sick. The bathtub was so dirty. Thankfully I brought my own cleaning supplies and I bleached that tub twice before getting in even after that I still wore shoes in the showerm. You pay 60+ for a room and then u have to give a 50$ deposit. So not worth it. Motel 6 is like 100 times better. Waste of money.

Roaches and not cleaned very well

The bathroom was horrible. The shower needs to be ripped out and replaced, it's disgusting.... and there weren't any towels in the bathroom.

Room was decent for the price. Air conditioning unit was leaking though.

Absolute hands down worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Was left one towel, no wash cloth, half a roll of toilet paper, no garbage can or bag, no phone to call front desk. Over spray on EVERYTHING. Stairs were disgusting. Googled the number and called front desk since there was no phone because a motorcycle was in the court yard at 10 pm blaring music and revving engine to be told he was a long term resident so he could do what he wanted. I've never felt like I needed to be escorted to and from my car, but this was a first for sure!

Bathroom was gross. There were people partying outside our room all night long. Left at 5 in the morning and the party was still going.

Nice lady at front desk. Room was kind of cleanish but hairs on our bed and no towels or tp. Front desk gave us some on request. Could see into neighboring rooms bathroom thru vent in our bathroom. Some sort of red film in bathtub may just be age related. Other guests congregating and talking loud outside all night. Hotel want not unsafe in my opinion and front desk responsive. Good location close to coffee shop downtown. I might stay there again if nothing else was available. You truly get what u pay for and we had to stay here due to lack of availability anywhere else. I’m a little skeptical of the reviews of this hotel I read before booking. Red Roof Inn next door actually looks cleaner and better

No bed cover, big hole cut in restroom wall covered with cardboard, tub finish half flaked off, no chain to secure front door, tv didn’t work. If it was more than a one night stay, I would have changed rooms. Couldn’t believe they rented that room! Not staying there again.

If you hate yourself a lot, I would recommend this hotel. The cleaning staff probably hasn't seen a mop since the 70s and the long stay tenents have absolutely no respect for others staying there. So, if you like roaches, random stains, and never sleeping, then the MyHome in Columbus, Mississippi is the place for you. Honestly someone needs to shut this place down

I booked this & upon my arrival i was told that there were no rooms available even though money was taken off of my card

Manger is very very rude and disrespectful

it asked 3 times for towels but they were never brought to room. I had to use sheets from beds to dry off. Never been in a place that wouldn't provide basic services. Pitiful. Avoid this place like the plague.

Overbooked. Showed up early and they wouldn't let us check in. Rooms were confirmed. Came back later and no rooms. Had to drive an hour to find another hotel. And then dealing with expedia refund process was a pain. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The hotel is OK it is not expensive, Mrs. B at the front desk is very nice and the location is quiet

The lady at the front desk was wonderful. However no one brought my tissue to the room when asked for it.

This motel is straight up nasty. Pay the extra money and get a clean room. The bathroom shower did not have a shower curtain. The bathroom was full of hair on the floor and toilet. The bed linens were nasty. There was hair in our beds. The only good part about our visit was the location was right next to the soccer fields where we were playing.
