This is a nice hotel with beautiful modern bathrooms. We were unfortunately placed on the 4th floor and the lift was not operational, which made for quite a hike up the stairs with heavy suitcases, and again each time we went out. Good breakfast options, bright and cheerful rooms.

The decor was very nice, and for London, the room was a good size! There is a lovely space to relax downstairs too, which provides additional toilets, as well as a 24 hr complimentary coffee, tea and water station. All very tastefully and completely refurbished, including the suite's large and lovely washrooms. Thank you for such a nice stay!

Wonderful rooms and very good staff. Julian was especially helpful. The breakfast room and courtyard/patio were quite pleasant. They provide a good buffet of easy continental breakfast stuff and a deluxe 24-hr coffee machine. I found the location to be great for walking to Kensington Gardens / Albert Hall, and it's an easy tube-trip to the museums (South Kensington) or Notting-Hill Gate. Bayswater is a nice little street with food and groceries.

Each room was uniquely designed and clean. However, London was experiencing a heat wave and the air conditioning in my unit was not working. Various staff put in requests to have maintenance examine the problem. It was not fully remedied throughout my stay.

The 55 by Le Mirage has a hard working front desk of which I was most impressed. It was a wonderful stay and I would recommend it. The decor is lively and fun. They helped everyone and followed up with requests from help with luggage, to room keys, to directions and printing out emails and plane reservations. And helped log into the wifi too. My room on the ground floor was quiet, a decent size, and bathroom was clean. The size of the bath towels was really generous too. They provided bottled water, tea and coffee all day long. The breakfast was equally as good and diverse offerings. The is also a large patio in the backyard with tables for breakfast and relaxing. The neighborhood was safe and near the local tube. There were local restaurants and a M&S market down the street too.

Lovely hotel, in a very convenient location, just 5 minute walk to the tube, and 1 stop to Paddington. Very quiet and peaceful. Comfortable beds, good size room. Breakfast was adequate, continental style. There is an outside garden which is lovely. Staff friendly and helpful. Only complaint - the lift was out of order and we were on the 3rd floor so it was a bit of a hike to the room. Staff did offer to carry luggage up however. TVs didn't work on first day/ night...wasn't bothered really as we were out. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Friendly staff. Arrived early after an overseas flight but they allowed me in the room early. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable and functional. Room was spacious (King). Area is quiet with shops/dining nearby and Paddington station a 20 minute walk. Would stay there again.

We were given an accessible room despite not needing one. The good thing was that it was on the ground floor and a good size but apart from that, everything else was subpar. It was almost impossible to get hot water from the wash basin as the basin was too small and the water pressure was too high causing the water to splatter everywhere. An accessible toilet also meant that it was always wet after someone showered. Housekeeping never washed the cups in the room and I’m not even sure if they replaced the towels daily.

The 55 is clean, calm, contemporary and minimalistic. Perfect location with easy, short walks to tube station and bus stops. Warm and friendly welcome from staff at reception on arrival. Lovey toiletries in bathroom and complimentary snacks and drinks in the room. This hotel was exactly as stated on the website. A great find. Will definitely stay again .

55 by Le Mirage was very clean, well located, in a quiet part of Bayswater in London. Close to two Tube stations and a short walk to Kensington Gardens and Kensington Palace. The staff members were very accommodating. We had a deluxe twin room that was roomy with large windows. The breakfast room was a very pleasant place to begin our day. We would absolutely stay there again.

Don't let them put you in room GF01. Elevator will buzz and beep all night, you will hear everything happening in the lobby. The room was dusty and the toilet was basically inoperable.We ended up switching rooms due to toilet. Staff was friendly

The location is excellent, the staffs are very friendly and the water pressure for the shower is the best! But the shower area itself is quite small for American standard and the pillows are not soft and uncomfortable. Other than that is quite good.

Nice hotel for a weekend trip in London. We would have loved to know in advance that our room is in the basement, it was a little dark and also loud in the mornings. I guess the breakfast room was right above the room and the noise was because of the chairs that were moved.

The room was lovely and quiet. The pillows were very uncomfortable which I did mention to the Hotel. Hopefully they’ve changed them. The breakfast was just average continental breakfast. Nothing special but a wonderful position immaculately clean.

The hotel is fantastic, my room - with two huge windows - was gorgeous but, unfortunately, the sound-proofing was non-existent at doors (slamming when people went in/out of rooms) and windows (street noise, although neighbourhood is quiet). Staff was superb!!!

Hotel great. Location great. Room great. WiFi not great. Didn’t work at all, had to cancel meetings as a result. TVs all WiFi dependant so no TV. Need a better contingency for this. Also, £50 deposit taken rather than a pre-authorisation. One more thing to manage, when you stay in 15-20 hotels a month, it’s a pain.

I have stayed in many hotels in London and I must say, the '55' had the MOST HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY staff I have ever encountered! Every staff member went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable, from the welcome email to the check-out. The hotel was comfortable, clean and quiet at night, making for a good night's sleep. The continental breakfast had a wide variety of options and was served in a lovely sunny breakfast room with a beautiful garden terrace. Will definitely be back!

The staff was rude and not accommodating. We waited till 3 for our check in time with no accommodation for an hour early check in. When we asked to finally check in at 3 there was attitude from the attendant asked to retrieve our bags from storage. I traveled abroad and stayed one night I would not book this hotel again.

This is the easiest hotel recommendation I've ever written. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The location is great; a stone's throw to a number of shops, markets, and restaurants, and a short walk to the Circle Line. It's also a ten minute walk to Portobello Road. The hotel itself is lovely; the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Where 55 really shines is in their high service level and wonderful staff. From check-in to check-out, everyone we interacted with was helpful and gregarious.

Got us which was appreciated but otherwise staff were not overly helpful - each time we asked for something about the town or area (or arranging transportation) they could/would not help us & were difficult to understand when speaking to them. Hotel breakfast is extremely expensive for what is offered. Incense smell in main lobby is overpowering & off putting that could not stay in there for more than a few mins at a time.

I’ve booked 55 by Le Mirage more than 3 times thus far because of its friendly and helpful staff, location, nice rooms with plenty of storage and a good working desk, and of course a comfortable bed. I always look forward to staying here.

Spacious room, clean bathroom and an excellent location. The breakfast was nothing special, but it'll get you started. The area felt safe, even in the evening and there were many metrolines, restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Maybe not the best place if you want to hit the clubs, but a quiet safe location near a huge park was just what we were looking for.

The hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood. The Bayswater subway station is just a few minutes walk away. There are restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby. The hotel itself is very well-kept. Our room was tastefully decorated, clean, and had a large modern bathroom. The hotel staff were all exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and interested in the guests. There were two of us—it was a mother-daughter trip—and we felt safe as women even in the darkness of the evening in this area.

Friendly staff. Arrived early after an overseas flight but they allowed me in the room early. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable and functional. Room was spacious (King). Area is quiet with shops/dining nearby and Paddington station a 20 minute walk. Would stay there again.

Lovely hotel, in a very convenient location, just 5 minute walk to the tube, and 1 stop to Paddington. Very quiet and peaceful. Comfortable beds, good size room. Breakfast was adequate, continental style. There is an outside garden which is lovely. Staff friendly and helpful. Only complaint - the lift was out of order and we were on the 3rd floor so it was a bit of a hike to the room. Staff did offer to carry luggage up however. TVs didn't work on first day/ night...wasn't bothered really as we were out. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We had a lovely stay! The staff were very friendly and great! We stayed for a week and the hotel room was comfortable and fairly large for the city. The location is really convenient: There are several restaurants really close, but the neighborhood is peaceful. It's a quick walk to Hyde Park and some other sights. And there are multiple underground stations and a rail station in easy walking distance.

The rooms are small, but they have been recently remodeled & updated. The street is quiet, and there are plenty of restaurants about 2 blocks from the hotel. The Paddington Train Station is close bye to the hotel, and Paddington has a direct train to Heathrow Airport.

Upon checking in they did not acknowledge our free vip complimentary breakfast, I had to ask and then they found the notes in booking. We also had no hot water the first morning and instead of changing rooms for us they asked at first if they could get us to shower in a room adjacent until they could resolve the problem which was odd. When we pushed back as our day was already delayed in starting they agreed to let us change rooms. The breakfast was ok, if it was not complimentary I would not have been happy with the price and selection offered.

Nice place to stay, clean and the staff is friendly. Good location to walk to many restaurants. The breakfast isn’t worth paying for. It’s about the same quality as a breakfast at a standard American hotel - so not that great. I expect better in Europe.

The hotel is very nice, very well decorated, every aspect is perfect, the attention is fantastic, my congrats to the manager! The breakfast is very good , but there are not scrambled eggs, that I take every morning of my life, but I survived.

The room was lovely and quiet. The pillows were very uncomfortable which I did mention to the Hotel. Hopefully they’ve changed them. The breakfast was just average continental breakfast. Nothing special but a wonderful position immaculately clean.

As a VIP Expedia member, we received a free breakfast. Everything about this hotel was ideal for our stay in London. We would defuse again. Rooms are clean, spacious and modern. Breakfast was plentiful and a good selection. Staff were very accommodating.

I would have never imagined that our stay in the bustling Bayswater area could be so quiet. The staff at 55 by Le Mirage placed us in a courtyard room on the first floor. The double room was cozy and designed well with a small entry area, another area with a desk, and a really big bathroom. Four different USB charging areas (8 ports), which was more than what two people needed. The breakfast was cold continental, with plenty of options and fruits, breads, and cereals. Great location, tastefully done, and a healthy breakfast to start your London day.

We arrived early hoping to store our luggage. To our surprise, the room was ready! It was spacious and updated. The ac in the lower half was icy cold. The pull out area was warmer, but the perfect temp at night with the window open during the heatwave. Mini fridge had plenty of complementary beverages. Coffee and snacks were appreciated. The patio area was lovely to unwind after a long day. Staff were kind and helpful. Lobby was also a lovely place to wait. Thank you for 3 nights of our girls trip!
