Hotel Schani UNO City

It was easy to get to the U1 and then to central Vienna. We had no trouble going to the Opera House and the chapel for Sunday Mass sung by the Vienna Boys Choir. The staff were so helpful. The luggage room was especially handy as we had time to waste between check-out and our cruise joining time. This is a hotel I would recommend.

The hotel decor is really fun, and the hotel had just recently been reopened. The food and drink in the associated bar/restaurant were worth going back for. The staff was accommodating and friendly, even for an odd request of providing a 'real' chair for some extended desk work. The daily room cleanup was welcome; the only reservation was that the floor was a little dusty. The outdoor patio was great for a leisurely drink in summer weather.

Parking at the hotel, and the staff is realy perfekt!

A great hotel from which to explore vienna. Located about 15 minutes underground journey south of the city centre + about another 5 minute walk from the station. The hotel was very clean, bed was firm but always slept well. Bathroom and shower were excellent with the shower having lovely hot water. Hotel was peaceful, with no noise at night. Restaurant and bar were great, with a wide range of local food, wines and beers, all at reasonable prices. From the hotel, all of Vienna's main attractions were within 30 minutes travel time. Travel was quick and cheap by UK standards. Easy connections with train to airport etc. Also very convenient for Parkrun at the local park, which also has a great cafe. Will recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Vienna as a great place to stay at a very good price. Will be staying there again early next year.

Cooles Hotel in der Uno-City, ca. 7 km von der Altstadt entfernt. Tolles Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, eine ruhige Terrasse im Hof mit Barbetrieb.

Very reasonably priced and a delightful place to stay while visiting Vienna. It was next to the Hop on Hop off bus and there was a station across the road. The staff are superb - the service in reception, the restaurant and the bar couldn’t be faulted. Breakfast provided a good choice of well prepared food and the restaurant menu, although quite limited, was fine for a meal. There was a lovely ambience and the bedrooms were clean, comfortable and cleverly designed. I would definitely stay there again.

A great hotel only a short walk from the UI Metro station. The hotel parking lot had really tight spots. Just take the train.

The bar and restaurant were both very stylish. Our room was in excellent condition. The staff were very helpful and friendly. 5 minutes walk to the U1 line ( metro).. very quiet at night. Would definitely go again.

Struttura moderna e di design, camere bellissime. Davvero comoda la luggage room self-service, con tanti armadietti a combinazione e una cabina spogliatoio.

Very Clean and Modern Hotel. Environment is good, just a bit far from the City

First of all the room had a weird smell. Secondly, there were silverfish in the room. In addition there were no refrigerator/minibar or coffee/tee in the room (could be added for an extra charge.) Also, I paid extra to get a "garden view", but this was as dreary as any street view.

Nice and clean everywhere in this beautiful hotel, with friendly and helpful staff in both reception and restaurant so excellent service, Close to public transport. Breakfast was good (8/10) while evening menu was so so with one excellent dish while the others we tasted were average or below. Very few options at breakfast or restaurant for our vegan friend, so if that's relevant it's not worth the price. Would definitely book here again because tidyness, coolness, price level (in expensive Vienna), nearness to public transport and the absolutely great staff, but would probably find another place to eat.

Room was very clean and tidy. Very special atmosphere and unique style. Recommend strongly. Also good transport connection to the city of Vienna. All good for business and leisure.

Wir waren schon vor der Check-in-Zeit im Hotel und durften sofort einchecken. Am einzigen Regentag unseres Aufenthaltes konnten wir Regenschirme an der Rezeption ausleihen und am letzten Tag war es kein Problem, die Koffer bis zur Abreise in einem abschließbaren Schrank zu deponieren. Leider wurde trotz der täglich gebuchten Reinigung nur minimal gereinigt. Bei Temperaturen um die 30 Grad hatten wir die gesamte Woche die selbe Bettwäsche und es wurde nicht einmal über die Oberflächen gewischt, so dass wir am Ende unseres Aufenthalts Wollmäuse auf dem Nachttisch hatten.

Séjour très agréable, chambres rénovées et propres, pas trop petites. Climatisation réglable, TV et radio. Bouilloire mais cependant pas de café/thé, mais peut-être suffit-il de demander à la réception puisque le personnel est très accueillant et sympathique. Terrasse et espace pour travailler ou se reposer en bas très tranquille avec bar et pizzas très bonnes. Métro à 5 minutes à pieds pour rejoindre le centre-ville en 15 minutes. Merci !

A stylish hotel, but, the service doesn't live up to the concept. Before arrival we were bombarded with messages asking us to check-in online. Since they wanted us to input large amounts of personal data on their app, I replied that I would check-in at the hotel and was told this was not possible. On arrival there were terminals to check-in but these still took far more personal info than normal and wanted to make charges for basics such as teabags !! The experience was impersonal and left a bad first impression. We eventually found a staff member to ask about wifi codes, but, they were unable to give us info about data retention policies. The rooms were quirky, but, had comfortable beds, good sound insulation and very effective curtains/blinds. Wifi in the rooms was terrible, I had intermittent connection whilst my colleague had none. Worse on 3 of the nights my power went out leaving me in pitch black - on the worst occasion for 20 minutes. As there are no phones in the room I couldn't tell reception. The hotel seems to run with a skeleton staff; one person on reception, who cannot leave to solve issues. I asked for an iron and was asked to return to collect it. When I did the lady was apologetic that she hadn't had time to get it but would bring it to my room within 30 mins. She did not. The following day I asked again and was told that all irons were in guest rooms and she couldn't get me one. Breakfast was ok - but lacked variety. They did provide gluten free bread.

This was a quiet,clean,modern property, very close to the subway. There often wasnt hot water for showers. You had t9 pay extra for in room coffee/tea. There was no fridge in the room.you had to walk through the restaurant to get to the rooms.

Clean room, modern finishes. No coffee in the room, that was my only gripe, but overall it was great!

A stylish modern hotel with great room interiors. This is close to a metro station and in a corporate area and does not feel busy. Even though it is on a busy street with lots of cars, it is very quiet inside the rooms. The restaurant and bar are also very good. However the wifi is extremely patchy and the wifi does not seem to reach the 4th floor consistently. I had to result to using my data even when inside my own room.

Sehr schöne moderne und saubere Unterkunft. Beim Frühstück gab eine große Auswahl an unterschiedlichen Sachen. Das Personal ist sehr nett. Einziges Mako: das halb offene Bad. Ich fände es besser, wenn sich Dusche und Waschbecken IM Badezimmer befinden und nicht mitten im Raum. Aber das hat man ja bereits vorher auf den Bildern gesehen. Würde dennoch wieder kommen. :)

The hotel has a stylish and clean interior, but unfortunately, the service did not live up to expectations. Basic amenities such as a refrigerator or the ability to make warm drinks in the room are not included—you have to pay extra, which was quite disappointing. The online check-in and check-out process was difficult to navigate. Fortunately, there was still staff available who were helpful during check-in. My room faced the street and was extremely noisy, making it hard to get a proper night's sleep. While the hotel looks good on the surface, the lack of comfort and convenience made my stay less enjoyable than I had hoped.

The digital check-in at my arrival did not work satisfactory. One screen out of two did not work. The provision of the key-card is not explained. The last digit of my room-number of the key-card was blurred and not possible to read.

Great customer service and friendly staff.

Wonderful hotel. The decor is super fun. The lobby is combined with the hotel restaurant Seven Botanicals. What a lovely place to grab a bite to eat or have a coffee/cocktail. Speaking of cocktails I had the best gin and tonic here. I loved it so much that I purchased the restaurant/hotel's own gin brand. I mostly interacted with the restaurant staff and they were extremely friendly and helpful always. 10/10!

I never spoke to anyone. I got the keys to the room with WhatsApp communication and checked out the same way. Good stay. Near the metro.

This is probably one of my favorite hotels i have ever stayed at! The staff were all super friendly and just the perfect amount of technology was mixed in but not to the point it prevented you from human interaction. Restaurant was also really tasty and the staff here are just spectacular!

Appalling Customer Service—Refused Refund Despite Medical Emergency I rarely write reviews, but this experience was so disgraceful that I feel obligated to warn others. I had booked a trip with Austrian Airline and a stay at Hotel Schani UNO City. Due to an unexpected medical emergency that left me unable to travel, I had no choice but to cancel. Austrian Airline immediately deducted around €400 from my account and flatly refused to refund a single cent. Their customer support was indifferent and robotic, repeating the same scripted replies over and over without any empathy or flexibility. As if that wasn’t enough, Hotel Schani UNO City charged me an outrageous €500 fee and refused to consider any refund, credit, or even a partial voucher for future use. This is especially appalling given that my cancellation was due to illness and not a change of plans. I understand that companies have policies, but any decent business should be willing to look at individual circumstances and show a minimum level of understanding for emergencies. Instead, I was treated like an inconvenience and forced to absorb a €900 loss while dealing with a serious health issue. I strongly advise anyone considering booking with Austrian Airline or Hotel Schani UNO City to think twice. There are many companies out there that treat their customers like human beings and offer at least some goodwill. This was hands-down the most unhelpful, cold, and exploitative experience I have ever had as a traveler.

Checkin is so annoying

We enjoyed our stay and the general vibe of this hotel. Expedia had been trying to reach their mgmt to assist with a partial refund (as we had paid more for a refundable plan when originally booking) due to changing our plans to check out one day early, but they finally responded to us and Expedia and declined to be flexible or to help us. Expedia went above and beyond to try to get them to give us a refund for the one night early that we left and prepaid for - we appreciate that! Our entire travel plan was changed due to traveling to Vienna for a concert that was cancelled, so we lost a lot of money overall. All in all, most people were friendly and helpful so we were disappointed the staff they spoke to did not try and help us after we left. We otherwise would have returned here.

Comfortable stay across from the UN and near the Old Danube River.

Hôtel propre et situé à 5 minutes d’une station de métro. Le petit déjeuner est très basic à part ça nous y avons passé un agréable séjour. Toutefois, éloigné du centre-ville historique de vienne.

Really liked the greenery and modern/sytlish interior. Great and tasty breakfast buffet.

The Hotel is well maintained globally but still need to have some points improved: Breakfast is not that diversified and expensive. No internet ( poor) in the room. No international channels on TV for kids or even to get the news in your native language. Even if you stay 10 days they will make you pay 15 euros per additional hour for late check out. (not commercial ) Except the waitresses at the restaurant ( exceptional service and customer oriented) the rest of the team is not commercial at all.

Veldig fornøyd med både service, rom og frokost. Hyggelig og lun frokostsal med godt variert utvalg for den enkelte. Var et tipp topp opphold for min del.

Conveniently placed for Vienna parkrun (0.7km) and a couple of hundred metres from the u-Bahn (U1) for a quick trip into central Vienna. Room was compact with nice shower. Bar on the ground floor had a limited menu but we both found something we liked.
