The hotel could do with updating, carpets in common areas looked worn. The room was surface clean but could do with a deep clean, very dusty by top of bed. Sound of guests moving around above was disturbing. Were staying for a function and the meal was warm rather than hot but breakfast was excellent. Staff were all very helpful and professional. Wouldn't rush to stay again but also wouldn't avoid it.

Overall good hotel, but room was dusty, no bin bags in bins, taps rusty and generally seem a little overpriced for £250 a night

Stayed 2 nights

We stayed two nights at Moor Hall Hotel & Spa for a wedding at nearby Blackbrook Barns. The location was ideal, taking under ten minutes by taxi. Pre-checking in via the Hotels.com app made our arrival super efficient, and we were quickly given the key to room 129. The main room was spacious and well laid out, equipped with a smart TV and standard tea, coffee, and air conditioning. However, the bathroom was a major disappointment. There was dust and debris—including dead insects—on the floor and windowsill, no shower gel, heavy limescale around shower doors that failed to close properly, and a blocked drain that left us showering in ankle-deep water. The hotel grounds are beautiful, featuring a lovely woodland walk and even a historic pet cemetery—perfect for an evening or pre-breakfast stroll. Dining was a highlight. Our evening meal in the Oak Room was marvellous, with fantastic service, a lovely atmosphere, and delicious food. Breakfast was equally enjoyable. While not an overwhelming spread, it offered plenty of tasty options without unnecessary waste. Note - we did not use the spa, only due to lack of time. The front-of-house and restaurant staff were exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely interested in their guests. However, despite their outstanding efforts, the poor standard of cleanliness in the bathroom means I would not choose to return, which is a real shame given how wonderful the team were.
