Maybe it was my fault - i did not expect that there was not going to be airconditioning in the room. But thats probably me.

Beautiful view from kitchen but everything else was awful. Never been so hot in a dorm. Why air conditioning in the whole hostel but not the rooms? No towel included. And one of the 2 fridges was out so groceries stuffed in one fridge. Super expensive.

Haka House was a great hostel to stay at. It was very clean and the kitchen area was large with lots of storage area for non fridge food. The views were amazing ... You look straight onto Lake Tekapo. The room had nice privacy curtains and a large storage spot where you can lock up your belongings. The hostel is in a central location so you can walk to restaurants and shops easily. And there's a large parking lot not too far away to park if you don't get a spot right in front.
