Great breakfast, incredible views, amazing hotel. No lift but has ramps to compensate.

Good location, easy access to rooms with luggage, friendly staff, free parking

Very quiet and nice property. Only suggestion is a better light blocking from the hallway. The light in the hallway can turn on and light up the whole bedroom.

We liked the property, staff and service. But this is a Dark Sky community and we felt the strong outside lights shining up at the room from the property prevented viewing the southern night sky’s from our room. The outside lights need to be turned off.

Lovely property. Skylights great and gorgeous rooms and bathroom. Only issue we had was the lighting outside the hotel is very bright. Some of the brightest lights around which, when staying in a dark sky area specifically to see stars, were emitting a very frustrating amount of light pollution!

Comfortable clean room for one night stay. Car parking was limited and access difficult in snowy conditions. Steps up to room were very icy and slippery but staff were trying to keep ice to minimum.

Awesome property with a good view of the lake. My room was quite small. Two twin beds and a table with two chairs, plus the wall unit with the TV. That’s it. Parking area is tight as well. But the breakfast delivered to my room so I could eat it while enjoying the view was much appreciated. Plus the menu variety and food quality were great. And did I mention that view? Lol

Two reasons I didn't mark overall as 5-star: Very expensive relative to the other place we stayed in Tekapo which was equally as nice, and the downlighting was so bright, it seemed to affect the viewing of the stars.

Exceptional views and in a great location. Disappointing that they charge you for parking

Three persons checked-in on 11 May 23 and checked-out on 13 May 23 for a 2-bedroom apartment which was located at ground floor of the hotel building, meaning that there was no ceiling window for stargazing inside the room. The manager explained that only the studio type rooms at the upper floor were equipped with ceiling windows. We appreciate that the manager offered us to change room on the next day since all rooms on the day we checked-in were fully booked. The hotel is located at a quiet location but is very convenient to town center. There are plenty of parking spaces. The staff and manager were very courteous and helpful. Free bottles of drinking water were provided. Some snacks were provided at only $1 per pack for tenants' convenience. The free breakfasts were freshly made in accordance with the orders, and room service was also available. There was a water leakage at the flexible cord of the bath. Other than that, everything was good. Overall, we would recommend this hotel.

Room was very clean and modern!

The room was not in a clean state at all. Dust on all over the skirtings and soap scum and mould in the bathroom shower area. When I told the staff member at reception at check out time . She advised they only clean these areas every 2 weeks. I showed her the photos I took and didn’t seem too fussed. Wouldn’t recommend to others or stay again. Definitely not value for money.

Service team are great and a really nice comfortable room that seems all very new. Housekeeping also very good 😊

The Galaxy Boutique Hotel was clean, quiet, had a great view of Lake Tekapo and the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and warm and fully equipped. We will stay again.

Beautiful views, rooms were great too. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The only negative I can think of is the shower wasnt the cleanest, and the tap on vanity leaks so had to keep mopping it up, but hopefully this is being remedied. The breakfast was fantastic, and heating works reslly well - we were nice and toasty the whole stay :)

Overall ok but got badly bitten by bugs

Great place to stay in Lake Tekapo. Easy check in/out and close to the supermarket. Room was nice/clean and clean exceeded expectations. Staff was nice and breakfast was a bonus.

Nice new hotel with really good breakfast. The only negative was that we were on the ground floor so people are walking past us all the time. Couldn’t have the window open due to this. If you stay I would recommend an upstairs room instead.

Great rooms and views of Lake Tekapo

Great view, new and had a nice feel to it.

The bathtub with the view was incredible during the giant beaver moon! And the moonroof above the bed was stunning to fall asleep star gazing!

We had a great experience here - the room was spacious and well equipped with incredible views of Lake Tekapo. The skylight provided a really unique and cool view of the stars at night. The hotel is in a hill above Tekapo but is an easy walk or drive into the main town. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice! Would recommend and stay here again.

No windows in my room

Had a wonderful time at the Galaxy boutique hotel. Staff were incredible and service second to none. We go snowed in and everyone was out helping each other to get their cars out and the hotel kept everyone informed of road closures. Thank you for your hospitality!

Lovely new boutique hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lake Tekapo is a small town with limited eating options but the dining is very good. We were unlucky with the stars as it was an overcast but the sunrise more than made up for it!

The lady at reception who also ran breakfast was so sweet and hospitable. We were only here for a night, but would definitely stay again!

Where should I start with - worst checkin experience, lies from front staff or rude behaviour from front staff lady while checking out Let’s start with check-in experience, out checin was delayed and we had to wait and the explanation was we requested king bed. It’s like we’re the only one who requested king bed in the history of this hotel. There was not even a single apology from the front staff lady I raised this issue with my booking partner Expedia to share the experience I had it with this worst customer experience Next day, while checking out front lady came to me and said you raised a complaint with Expedia regarding you check in experience and wanted to have a chat with the angry tone. In this whole conversation she never said please. This morning she changed her explanation of the late checkin, it was due to she was serving the other customers. Let me correct her we were there by 2:41 and rather then us getting checked in she was trying to serve other customers who came after us. Anyway, I tried to explain her my disappointment with the check-in experience but she was least interested to listen. After that, she throw the key on her desk in angry way and said all the best in the angry tone. My recommendation to her manager and hotel authority is to send her for some behaviour courses so she should know how to deal with the customer respectfully. I can also recommend some behavioural online courses to her if required Won’t recommend based on my experience

My son left his camera on the coffee table in the reception area. Your staff kept it away safely for us and so grateful to recover it back subsequently! Thanks to Karin for her friendliness and advice on where to go around in Tekapo Overall property in excellent shape, would be perfect if you have washer and dryer in the units Thumbs up and will come back again!

Check in was breezy, when I told the girl on reception I'd be leaving early morning and would miss breakfast she offered me a continental breakfast that I could keep in my room and eat when I wanted. She brought this up to my room an hour or so after check in. I loved the bathroom, it's beautiful and luxurious with thoughtful features. The hairdryer was excellent! Most of all I loved the views out to the lake and mountains, and the skylight for watching the stars. I walked into town (5mins) to grab some takeaway dinner and then just sat in the window watching the changing landscape until the sun set. The room was very quiet and warm and I had an amazing sleep, waking periodically and gazing at the stars. It was the most expensive stay of my trip but I think worth it for the views, location and comfort!

Beautiful hotel, great service. We had a very nice and comfortable stay. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a nice stay and even brought extra dishes to our room so we could have a cozy meal in our room. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

Galaxy Boutique Hotel is an excellent choice when staying in Lake Tekapo. The only thing that beats the views, is friendly, and helpful staff. Don’t make the same mistake we did and book multiple nights if you can!

テカポ湖までは車で3分くらい。少し離れた高台にあり、とにかく景色が最高。朝焼けに染まる湖と山々は忘れられない。 新しく、部屋も清潔に保たれているうえに、部屋履きの使い捨てスリッパが用意されていることが、とてもうれしかった。 部屋からの景色が最高であることを特筆しておきます。

Location was great with amazing views

Bon hôtel sur les hauteurs de Tekapo. Accueil agréable et rapide. La chambre est plutôt grande et bien équipée et l'ensemble de l'hôtel propose une vue magnifique sur le lac. Le petit-déjeuner est un petit buffet avec possibilité de commander des plats chauds à volonté. La ville est accessible à pied et le quartier est très calme.

Excellent hotel and well placed in Lake Tekapo. We were greeted by friendly staff who kindly showed us to room. Our room was located on the upper floor, so came with the skylight which allows you to star gaze. The views from the large window are stunning and is a huge plus when staying here. The beds were comfortable and provided a relaxing night's sleep. The breakfast is freshly cooked to order, whilst there is also a self-service area with toast, fruit and yoghurt. More than enough choice for my wife and I. The hotel is located around a 10 minute walk to the main bars/restaurants.

Very nice location for relaxing and great view of the lake. Easy access to local shopping and some sightseeing.

Our room had an amazing view of the lake,, we were on the second floor, they had a lovely sitting area in front of a huge window, we loved the skylight above our bed and I t was amazing how many stars we could see at night. The breakfast was delicious and delivered to our room. We would definitely stay here again, it was a splurge for us but worth it. The location was perfect.

Amazing views of the lake and night sky...very warm and helpful staff...spacious rooms with well done interiors...just one thing to keep in mind if you are travelling by bus...the property is arnd 15-20 mins walk from the bus stop with no cab availability in the area...be ready to walk that 1km with a bit of upward slope as well...otherwise it's a 10/10 for me...

Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms and an awesome view. You could even view stars from your room. Unfortunately, weather made that not possible that during our two nights there but the thoughtfulness of having a window at the top of the room was nice. Service was also awesome. Although breakfast hours starts at 8am, staff provided us simple continental breakfast in our room on the night before leaving for our early flight the next morning and we really appreciate that!

Loved the property, verg clean tidy , with amazing views . An early start for breakfast would have been great as a few activities around the area(up to 60 to 90 min drive) start early . Although organised with the staff there was no one around at 715/730 for breakfast.

Nice, modern hotel. The views of the lake were good from our room. Breakfast was basic but made to order. For our purposes, it was a little expensive.
