This hotel was amazing! As soon as you stp into the room you feel warm and relaxed, the heated tiles in the bathroom and towel rack were added luxuries and having a heater in the room meant we didn't need the aircon running. The place is immaculate and I wish we could've stayed longer! Excellent location and plenty of on site parking.

The hotel suite was extremely spacious, with great amenities (loved the heated floor in the bathroom), plus a balcony and good views. Dave and Sue were helpful and provided great dining recommendations. Would definitely return, and certainly recommend to others.

New property condition. Its kind expensive for the value you receive. Balcony is large but it offered no seating. We booked the lake view room buy it was the last unit that you almost sees no lake.

We found rubbish under cabinet in bathroom and their where dirt marks on pillowcase & bath mat. Also when leaving the cleaning trolley was on balcony and we couldn’t get past with bags and I had to ask 3 times for it to be moved. We were taking things to the car and door closed when we still had stuff inside and the key wasn’t working so asked cleaner to open and took asking 3 times for someone to do it. Also not being able to access lift after 9pm was not good as we had to use stairs when we got home.

This place was perfect. It had the lake view of Lake Tekapo, and an accessible door to walk straight out to the lake. It was directly across the bridge and had the most scenic view. The room was spacious. Loved the heated restroom floors and towel heaters. It was so close to the food area and gas station, about a 5 minute walk. Love the accessibility to everything. The staff was extremely helpful with the checkin. Couldnt have had a much easier experience.

EVERYTHING! This place was such a find. I am so happy with my decision to book a lake view room. It was ground floor and overlooked the walkway, bridge and gorgeous blue/green waters. Room was huge. Everything was modern as it’s a relatively new place. But well appointed and designed. The staff were incredible. And there is a cat! It’s worth every penny from the amenities, location and living space (and cat). The little extras in the kitchen and top quality bathroom products. The stars did elude me due to cloud cover but I knew they were there. Thank you Team Grand Suites Lake Tekapo. You are definitely doing destination accommodation. I never wanted to leave.

Lovely apartment as we had an upgrade. The rooms are accessed from an outside at ground level or a metal balcony on the first. There was a lift. However, as they do night gazing they kept the external lights on all night and there were no blinds or curtains on the widows facing the entrance doors, so the rooms aren’t dark at night. This led to a disturbed night for me as I kept waking up think it was morning. You should be able to have a dark bedroom. It was in a nice location which was a short walk to the main area. It is on next to the main road so there was noise from the traffic.

I can't say enough great things about this place. The owners Sue & Dave were absolutely fantastic. As a solo traveler I booked last-minute for a 1 day stay, and I couldn't be more happier with my accommodation. I even booked a 2nd night because I loved it so much. The place is new, beautifully upgraded, close to lake tekapo with views. I love the couch facing the slider door in your room so you can unwind and take in the view. There is a laundry facility, hot water, great water pressure all important in a stay. Bed was comfy. They had recommendations for activities. Overall this place well exceeded my expectations. A 10/10 and I will definitely come back and refer them business. You won't be disappointed. Thanks again guys! -Laura Vasquez from California.

Absolutely loved our stay at Grand Suites Lake Tekapo! The property was gorgeous with super large rooms. The parking was easy. All restaurants and shops were within walking distance. The staff was super friendly as well.

The hotel itself is beautiful and my room was superb. Very spacious and had been very updated. Luxurious room and bathroom with a kitchenette and views of the lake and mountains. Also it is in walking distance to the village and waterfront, which is good. One good perk was a laundry room with free detergent though you need coins to use the machines. Overall I would have loved an extra night in this hotel as it was very nice and comfortable. My one issue was with unfriendly staff.

The Executive Studio was spacious, clean and in a new condition, and had all the kitchen equipment if you wanted to cook your own food. Parking space was easy to find. The reception staff was very friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about attractions in the area and nearby. She also stayed a little longer after the office hours to process our check-in as we arrived after the reception opening hours. So thank you. The hotel's current Check-out Time of 10am is a little too early. I would suggest that the hotel change its Check-out Time to 11am.

It is a really nice place, spacious room and friendly staff. Only it requires some walks to the center of the town. It became inconvenient if the walk took place in the middle of the night and if we need some quick and hot breakfast in the morning.

Modern, new, nice rooms. Not cheap, but worth the money. 5 minute walk to village and tourist spots (lake, stargazing spot) Listen to the Food recommendations from the owner, we dont regret it! If you walk to the hot springs (30-45 Minutes), you will see and pass all tourist spots!

The property itself is quite nice, and the view is awesome too, the front desk is very helpful as well. But it's got no restaurant on the property, the room tidy service is very very limited (just pick up the garbage and change towels), and it's not as well located to the eateries as a few other ones in tekapo that give you much better value overall. It's just too expensive for what it lacks in room services.
