Convenient for 1 night stay even to visit Swansea. If you have a EV even better as you can either put your car on charge across the way or have a starbucks whilst you wait or walk back to hotel.

We got a good rate for this hotel as it was a Sunday to Monday night otherwise we generally find it a bit pricey for a budget hotel. its pleasant, clean and tidy with nice helpful staff. it has controlled on site parking so don't forget to register your car on arrival.

Standard as usual is good, but as with heavy traffic hotel it is tired. Staff are excellent. Convenient for visiting family, and we can bring the dog with us. Please be aware of parking fees for each night staying. For free parking booking direct is advised.

We like the staff who are polite, helpful even kind. The rooms are clean with complimentary tea coffee and kettle. Even shower gel and liquid soap by the sink. We liked being able to park adjacent to the property which was complimentary to guests. Its now changed, its only complimentary if you book via Days inn so we had to pay £5 overnight parking because we booked via Expedia. This is a recent change and we have to factor it into the actual stay cost. NB This hotel is off the motorway services, effectively in the middle of nowhere without a car.

We have been staying here for many years and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Our only dislike this time is they have started charging £5 a night for parking which would have meamt an extra £15 onto our stay. As we complained, did not see ir on our booking, Neal let us off with the fee this time but in future we shame have to pay. Sadly we my be using one of the other hotels in future.

Okay for the price though having to pay extra for parking because I booked through a third party site wasn’t welcomed especially as the service area was nowhere near any other parking so there is no option but to pay the £5.00. If I had known, I would have spent the extra fiver or so on a nicer hotel.

Despite it's convenient location at the services, it was very quiet. Parking was easy (just remember to log your vehicle at the desk) and plentiful EV chargers at the services. Room was great although it could do with having a chair in the room.

Wrong link on the email address leading to 70miles away destination from the property. I told the reception that they need to fix the link sat nav. There were insect crawling in the bathroom. There was no shampoo/shower gel in shower.. Bottle was empty.

This was not a great stay the room we booked was a family room that stayted a double bed and two twin beds and in the photos they look like two twin beds but in fact one is a pull out bed on the floor. Secondly there is no air conditioning and yes they provide a fan but thats so noisy when it is on and not only that the family room only has two plug sockets so if you have the fan on you cant charge phones and ipads or watch the television. We had to open the windows instead as the fan was noisy but then when you open the windows you hear the motorway so either way you dont get any sleep. Lastly there were people smoking cannabis outside in the green area both nights and the smell was so strong it wafted up to our room on the first floor. I wont be returning and will pay the extra to stay at the Premier inn in future

Awful night sleep The hotel had hardly any guests yet we got put in a room next to the stairs so had people up and down all night and people talking loudly until gone 2.30am you could here people walking directly above all night The room looked like its not been changed since the 70's its definitely overdue a refurb

We stayed here for three nights as we were travelling from Scotland for a funeral. I emailed the hotel 2 days before out stay asking if early check in would be an option however I did not receive a response. Given the long drive from up north I was aware that we would be arriving before check in so I made multiple attempts to phone the hotel to ask the aforementioned. Nobody answered. We arrived at the hotel around 1300 hours so I headed in to see if we could check in early. The male that I spoke with was very abrupt and said this was not an option even despite me willing to pay for this. We were told to return at 1430 and that they would maybe be able to give us access. When we eventually got in the room we observed it to be very spacious which was nice. However, the TV’s are in desperate need of an upgrade.

The lady who checked us in on the first night and also the lady who was on duty the second evening were warm, welcoming and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble when we needed extra towels, a plug adapter, advice on where to go to eat etc. They added a friendly human touch to our stay.

Very disappointed with my stay. The website says “housekeeping on request” but in reality it’s only every 4 days, and staff were rude and dismissive, even saying they “don’t care” what the website says. Other issues: • No microwave • No air conditioning • No fresh bed sheets • Towels only if collected from reception • Parking charged £5/day but they have their own parking space Misleading advertising, poor customer service, and overall a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel.

Based on the fact that this is a budget hotel, the staff are amazing - endlessly helpful and patient with guests. We arrived when all the systems had gone down and the poor reception lady was being pulled in every which way - but she was still so polite, smiling and helpful.

firstly the location of the hotel is brilliant. and located a one minute walk from a fantastic services with a selection of food and drink. plus a large bay of fast electric car chargers. the hotel itself is basic and functional. nothing flashy but it has all you need. good beds, decent shower, large clean rooms and friendly staff. nothing really to dislike. you can park right near the front door and it’s very reasonably priced.

Booked using vouchers to see Bruce Springsteen at the Principality stadium in Cardiff. This hotel is not in Cardiff so a bit misleading as it's in Bridgend, a 30 drive into Cardiff. That said,bits just off the M4, so easy to get to Cardiff. Room was clean, and quiet, you couldn't hear the road outside Staff were very helpful and friendly Food is available at the nearby Welcome Break, or there's a supermarket nearby and other food outlets. As hotels in Cardiff were astronomically priced for the show, I'd quite happily stay here again

Basic services hotel near Bridgend town centre. Basic room but clean, plenty of tea and coffee. Plenty of towels and extra pillows Good for a stay over after a day out im Bridgend. Staff were nice, and helpful with a taxi number.

firstly the hotel has a brilliant location. less than a minute off the m4. so it’s easy to find. it’s also right next to a fantastic services with good food choices and a massive starbucks. there are also plenty of fast electric car chargers, which is amazing considering much bigger places don’t have any. the hotel is all that you need. good beds. big rooms. nice and clean and very friendly helpful staff. they don’t do a cooked breakfast but if that’s your thing i recommend lilly’s in pontycymer, a ten minute drive away. that’s a lovely cafe. a special mention to jessica on hotel reception who was very helpful.

Booked a family room in last minutes. Was bit skeptical reading some review but to our surprise it was quite a good deal we would say honestly. Room was clean. Bathroom was decent. Receptionist was helpful and friendly. They don't have hot food but you can get burger king, subway, starbuck and WHSmith literally 2 min walk from the hotel. Petrol station is also literally next to the hotel. Also if you like shopping, designer outlet with restaurants are also 2min drive from the hotel. We found this stay very convient and good value for money. We won't mind staying for stop over again.

The place overall is good. You’re getting what you pay for. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, the staff are very helpful and friendly. I do however feel that they need to give more information about the breakfast they offer because on paying the extra for the room and breakfast I was expecting some form of breakfast area with continental style breakfast at least. What was given though was a take out box containing some sort of cornflakes in a tub with a carton milk for them, a flapjack, a pain au chocolate and a carton of juice. All that is fine if you’re aware that’s what you’re paying for but not really what I wanted so would rather not have paid for it.

fitness suite and pool were not open, only advised of this after booking. couple of rough bits in the room like bath panel needed replacement. otherwise bed was very good, breakfast good. room was clean. relatively few teabags etc.

The Cleanliness is impeccable.Must stay place only thing which i feel can attract more tourist is,if they offer cooked breakfast in the lounge.it would definitely have an edge on others.rest no issue,all great :)
