This is a very nice property. The room's facing the river have a great view. Every time I have stayed here the rooms have been very clean. I have no complaints about the room itself. One thing I will say is that the facilities are a little bit old and it shows sometimes. One of the elevators can be a bit scary. Other than that my experience with this place has been very positive. I guess the only other thing to keep in mind is that it is not that close to many shopping areas downtown, although if you're willing to walk a bit there are some stores further north on the waterfront.

The restaurant has a limited menu and limited hours, but the food was really good, and the staff was friendly. Fitness center was larger than you'd expect. Google Maps will put you in the wrong lanes to get to the Hotel but once you learn you'll be OK. Parking was $26 a night.

The rooms were clean and nice and comfortable. The elevator was broken and working intermittently. Sooooo slow. No stairs. The local area offered no easily accessible food or transportation. Lovely location next to the river but extremely inconvenient to get to when driving and expensive parking fees.

The hotel has been totally remodeled. I suggest requesting riverside. The only complaint I have is the balcony needed to be powerwashed. It was grimy. I mentioned it to the desk

Fooled by the balcony advertising. We were on the first floor and there is so much foliage in front of the balcony that you cannot see the river. The balcony furniture was filthy as was the balcony. King beds were nice and the bathrooms are big and spacious with refillable amenities instead of small plastic bottles. Lots of hidden costs, water bottles are free only for elite Hilton members. Parking is $29/night and if you purchase the breakfast package the tips are not included in the daily allotment. Very small and expensive breakfast menu. Best part is being on the river walk.

I stayed two nights and I was more than satisfied. The staff was nice and accommodating. I was alone so I asked for a room on the highest floor. I was excited to find out that the 5th was already reserved for me. A room that wasn't near the elevator. It was very clean, very comfortable and very quiet. Just how I like it! The room actually looked better than it did online. The river walk trail was a huge bonus! I loved it!

This is a really lovely hotel that we've stayed at twice now. Our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed with a pretty view of the river from our balcony. There are miles of paved walking paths along the river and several good dining options very nearby. The staff is warm and friendly. Parking is easy. We will stay here every time we are in Portland.

The room was large, clean and had a fireplace. It also had a large closet. It lacked a full size coffee table and sufficient light in the living room. The dresser was small. Shower was extremely small and bathtub and toilet room each had a glass block wall.

Overall the management team seems to have no interest in basic customer service. Desk associates including the Hotel Manager do not look up and greet customers at any time. This standard carried over to the bartender chatting with the front desk associate when we came in one night. Neither looked up, neither noticed we went into the bar. Chilled for around 10 minutes before he made an appearance. Our Balcony had not been cleaned in a very long time. When we pointed this out to the Manager in the morning, she stated that it would be cleaned but failed to communicate that to House Keeping. We came back in the evening and pointed it out to a House Keeper and he was kind enough to find a broom and get the balcony cleaned up. Overall its a nice property in a very convenient part of Portland. Shame that Hilton has just given up on simple Hospitality Training for its Team.

Poor check in. I paid for a river view and balcony and the front desk tried to take those away. No hot water in the shower. Bar service was sub par. Drinks taken away before finishing. Pressure to leave at 8:30pm despite opening hours posted otherwise. Kitchen was closed early so we couldn’t order food. On check out no offer was given to correct these issues.

My choice to stay at Rivers Edge was for the proximity to the hospital. But even more than that, the hotel is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. My original stay was for two days. I ended up returning for a third night. The front desk staff treated me like an old friend returning. After a couple of long and stressful days, that was really appreciated.

Staff were very helpful. Our flight arrived early in the morning so we called about the possibility of an early check in. No rooms were available at the time so we just decided to drive around Portland and find things to do until the afternoon…but we were also very tired. While we were having lunch we received a call from the hotel saying a room was ready if we wanted to check in early. That was such a gift because we had not asked them to call…we just figured we’d have to wait until 4pm. And the staff also had great recommendations of coffee shops, food truck pods and hiking spots. The river walk was excellent. Parking was simple and easy to access. Only downside was not getting a room that faced the river (had a lovely view of an office building 😉) and toilet was kind of old and had rust around the inside of the bowl which made it look and feel dirty (but we knew it had been cleaned). Would recommend this place to friends and if we come back to Portland we’d stay here again.

Great experience. The balcony rooms are amazing. Sitting on the beautiful river, watching joggers and dog-walkers over a morning cup of coffee is my idea of heaven. The pub offered good burgers and fries and great conversation. It’s a quick walk to ride streetcar to all Ortland has to offer.

The room overall was very nice. The biggest problem was that the AC was broken in the main room and it was a hot day so it took until late evening for it to cool off, the AC worked fine in the bedroom. We had drinks and dinner at the restaurant, the drinks were delicious but then got served undercooked chicken wings. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will stay there again but next time we will eat at a different restaurant.

I've stayed here a few times - the staff is ALWAYS lovely - friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. The views of the Willamette River from rooms with balcony is wonderful. Now that the Cafe is back open, I tried it for dinner and breakfast - both excellent.
