Stayed here for the last two days of our US stay. Very warm welcome from the night manager even though it was past midnight when we arrived. I recommend paying the $7 at time of booking for the breakfast. It entitles you to the buffet breakfast, pancakes and omelette. The buffet is OK, fairly limited choice but with pancakes and omelette will definitely set you up for the day! We ate in the restaurant on the last evening. Decent amount of choice and what we had was hot and tasty. I recommend the clam chowder with fries and cheese, $12, I ordered as a starter but it is a huge portion! The pool is good, not too busy and lovely warm water with plenty of loungers. There is a small bar and they will fetch any drink you like from the main bar. You are also steps away from the lovely, warm Atlantic ocean and nice beach. Reasonably good nights sleep and room with balcony was good. Not keen on the door out to balcony though, doesn't open fully with ease or stay open, so watch those feet!

Stay was great except for not knowing about the Valet parking, and we had stayed there many times in the past. Had conflicting information about the requirements from the person who checked us in and the Valet staff. Was told by hotel employee it was mandatory, but was then told by Valet employee it was not and you could park your vehicle without charge, but it would have to be parked across the street from the hotel. Hotel employee also said charges were separate and had to be paid directly to Valet company as they were contracted. Valet company said at the end of our stay that it could have been charged to the room.

Way overpriced for a room with a broken toilet, no hot water the last morning, a legitimately disgusting continental breakfast (what have you done to those potatoes?), a server that shows up to take your drink order when you're almost finished eating breakfast, maps of the property that show a hot tub that doesn't exist, and forced valet at $20 a night plus tax, plus cash tips every time you need your car.

I like this hotel for the beach, pool and adorable oceanfront restaurant. The property however is a bit run down and there is a charge for everything. The property no longer has onsite parking. Guests have to pay a hefty parking fee to park across a busy street at a remote lot with poor access. It felt dangerous and was very inconvenient. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel staff were gracious. The restaurant food was overall good.

Beautiful views if you get ocean front. If you don't valet, be prepared to walk many steps. The lot is across the avenue and you climb stairs to a bridge to cross safely.

Service was great and we received a lot of help with requests. The hotel rooms weren’t cleaned properly. We had a king bed, 2 roll away beds, and 1 pull out bed. We kept having to request the roll away beds and pull out beds have clean sheets because only the king bed would be cleaned. There was another day where only the bathroom was cleaned up and stocked, but the room wasn’t cleaned. The swimming pool was very hot, so it wasn’t that refreshing.

Paid for oceanfront view was placed in a room where the view was obstructed by a tiki bar. We were moved to another room which was still on 2nd floor outside of the bar. Website did not detail that the hotel turns into a club on weekends music was loud on patio deck by restaurant could hear through hotel room and child could not nap. There were drunk people everywhere with access to hotel pool area with no type of security. Have drunk people from restaurant walking around hotel areas along with excessive loud music you could hear clearly through your room. Did not feel safe. Door locks barely worked had to maneuver door certain way for door to lock. Housekeeping was to be daily service and we did not receive had to ask front desk to service the room. When our room was finally serviced the next day they only replaced our towels and not bed sheets only made the bed. Did not clean bathroom at all. Overall the security and the safety is poor. And do not recommend for families with children of traveling on weekend. No access to your car as it is valet parking only and the parking lot is across the street! Was not a accommodating hotel and not kid friendly due to the amount of noise and inappropriate non hotel guests wondering around. Not a family friendly hotel more for the party goers and the cleanliness was poor.

Unfortunately, we had an incident of bed bugs. The manager was able to quickly heap us and move us to a new room. However, damage was done. Won’t be staying her. It is unfortunate bc location, food and staff were friendly.

Staff was very nice and location was good. Easy check in and check out. There is valet which we believed was unnecessary as they parked our car a couple feet away from the entrance. Our room had an unpleasant mold smell. We got into bed and noticed a strong urine smell in parts of our mattress.

Overall the hotel was nice. Great entertainment and outside the bar was great.The things that I didn’t care for. Are the valet service every time in and out. Paying for parking and hotel just seems like a lot. The worse part was my room had roaches wasn’t happy about that. They did what they could but the critters were back the next day.

The rooms were a little dated. The pool is nice but was invaded by neighborhood children. They don't check room keeps and no one seems to monitor the users. Restaurant on site looked nice. Music they played was way too loud. I was on the 3rd floor with door closed and it was terrible. Note valet parking is the only option. The website wasn't exactly clear on that point. It did note pay for parking, but waiting for the valet was inconvenient. The beach is right there but they do not provide complimentary chairs or umbrellas.

I really liked the ocean view room. Unlike other hotels in the immediate area that only offer a partial view, The Crowne Plaza offers a balcony with full ocean view. That's the whole point of a beachside vacation, in my opinion!

Fantastic view and room itself. The live music was LOUD though on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Like, all doors and windows shut and TV on max volume and you can barely hear it, loud. Staff was friendly, facilities are nice, food was good. The faucets dripped and the AC in the actual bedroom went out on our last day but I’m sure they’re going to take care of it. Overall, probably the best oceanfront hotel in the Melbourne area

Our ocean facing room with balcony was the reason we chose this hotel. The room was overall fine, but the flooring appeared loose and seemed substandard. We heard excessive noise from the adjoining room and halls but it is somewhat expected. We still enjoyed the stay and did not experience any real issues.

The property itself is located on the beach in a lovely location. The bar is convenient as well. Staff are nice. However, the rooms are listed as oceanfront and most are not. They are coastline view, which means you are facing up or down the beach. At the moment, there is construction next door to the hotel. So the “ocean view” is a crane and construction workers. It’s false to say the rooms are oceanfront. Your balcony will not overlook the ocean. You would need to stand on the edge of your balcony and lean over to see the ocean behind the crane and workers. The price is comparable to true oceanfront rooms. That said, the Hilton or the Radisson would be better choices. We were truly disappointed after traveling across the country to a falsely listed oceanfront room.

The check in was really late but the front desk guy was incredible. Every staff member i met at the hotel from maintenance to front desk was amazing. The halls on the 6th floor smelled bad. The room was super dated and not well maintained. It took literally 10 minutes one time for the shower water to heat up. The staff made this hotel great but definitely not the Crown Plaza experience we were expecting.

We came to Melbourne to take care of my mother-in-law and needed a place to stay. At check-in, The hotel clerks were delightful and gracious. They comped us a couple of free drinks at the bar, and a couple free breakfasts. the room was clean, comfortable and cool, if not a bit spartan. My wife and I stopped for a nightcap every evening, but no matter what time we came in, it seemed like they were closing in five minutes. We stayed for a week, and I never figured out what their practice was for refreshing our towel supply. It was weird. Soiled towels would be removed, but not replaced unless we asked. Water bottles, and coffee were not refreshed unless we asked. Valet parking was fantastic. The mini self serve shop at the front of the hotel was easy to use, although, if you’re buying alcohol, the process is complicated. The pool area was clean and well kept, and access to the beach was easy. Overall, a clean, comfortable place, with nice amenities, but a couple of peculiarities that took the shine off of what should’ve been a nice stay.

Overall it’s was good. Pricey to self park and you have to park a block away across the street where you cannot see your vehicle, or valet for $20 daily. The beach and beachfront restaurant and bar were really nice. The hotel was clean and the staff were great. Wish it was a couple days more to enjoy the beach.

Overall our stay was good. Room was as described and clean. Bed was comfortable. Loved having a balcony to sit on while drinking coffee or an evening cocktail. Need to have microwaves in the room and a regular coffee maker. The Keurig only came with 2 pods for a weekend stay. The shower trim was coming apart and every time we opened the doors more grout would crumble off. Our room door was out of alignment so you could really hear everything in the hallway. Our last morning there we were woken at 6:15am by someone in the room next door screaming at someone on the phone. That went in for about 20 min. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast was extremely slow coming from the kitchen. They said they were really busy for the holiday weekend and just backed up. We should’ve just opted for the buffet so we didn’t wait half an hour for our food. We did do the BBQ buffet for dinner and that was really good. They do have chairs and umbrellas for rent. The pool area is kinda small for the size of the hotel and they need to have staff clearing used towels left behind so other guests know the chairs are empty. We were surprised with this hotel. I must admit the outside of hotel is a little confusing, it’s not too clear that it is Crown Plaza. We saw a couple of different signs before we saw the hotel name. The outside is the most outdated but the rooms and inside/lobby were great inside. Only complaint is that the restaurant inside the hotel was way overpriced for the quality of food, really not impressed. Room service took way too long and added about $15 in the bill compared to walking up to the bar and ordering to go.

Big fan! We stayed in a one bedroom oceanfront suite and had a great time. The place was very clean, had excellent amenities and was right on the beach. Seemed like a great value for the money. There was even a live band at the restaurant next to the pool. Would definitely come back.

Let's understand that a Hotel on the beach will cost a lot more money than say a Hilton Garden Inn in a small town. The hotel price we paid was reasonable for being on the beach. However, I think that cleanliness isn't an option. I felt that the hotel just seemed dirty. At least my bed sheets pillows and bathroom towels were clean. The bathroom just wasn't cleaned thoroughly - like a 6 out of 10. The hotel staff were all friendly. The location is great - next to the beach. If you want a value hotel next to the beach, this is the place. Don't get mad about a 30$ resort fee. That covers parking and valet. But don't think it's going to be a 10 out of 10 on everything.
