The staff was friendly, the hotel was quiet and safe. The room was nice and comfy. The only issues were the lack of towels in the gym and pool area. The elevator had a few spills that was not cleaned up for several hours. The pool also had a dirt ring around the top. One last thing that was good and bad was the smoke detector went off when showering with the bathroom door open. My wife and I enjoyed a hot shower until the alarm sound in the room causing me to get out and fan the alarm. I also rushe to place clothes on in case the staff came to check on the alarm but no one showed up. Outside of that its a really nice hotel and I enjoyed our 3 day 2 night stay.

Employees were friendly enough, but the hotel is definitely not handicap accessible. We brought my handicap, mother and struggle to find close parking, and the only elevators were in the middle of the hotel, which made it hard for her to get back-and-forth. The indoor pool was not heated. It was freezing so we couldn’t even swim. The room was subpar, not worth the amount I paid nightly. Beds were super hard and too firm. The door wouldn’t shut without force so we were concerned for our safety. The only thing good was that it was in a convenient location, so there was plenty of food and shopping around to enjoy.

Close to the RTJ Oxmoor Valley golf courses. Room was very spacious and clean. Hardest part was dealing with luggage to third floor. No easy access to load luggage on elevators, had to carry down 5/6 steps to even load luggage cart which was behind 2 security doors. Overall I would stay there again. Price was right!

Hotel was clean but dated, the AC wasn’t on prior to us entering our room and it was probably 90 degrees in the room (it was 91 outside) so it took a long time to cool off enough to be comfortable, I wish the pool had better hours

We asked for a first floor room or room near the elevator due to a medical condition. We were reserved a room on the 4th floor where we had to walk a long distance to get there. We had to walk down stairs from the parking lot which was not disability accessible. I would not stay here again.

It was just ok. The breakfast was bad. Everything over cooked and hard to eat. The front desk was not rude but mot friendly either. Have a bad knee and asked if there were carts to unload. Front desk said “yes by the elevator by the side door which is the door you need to use to get to your room.” It had 8 steps that had concrete breaking off to get down to the side door. So the cart really didn’t do a lot of good. Still had to walk door the steps with multiple trips to unload the car. More of a nuisance than really anything bad except my knee hurt the next day while I repeated the process to load the car. Single mom traveling with daughter and her little dog so someone else unloading the car was not an option. Not a place I would recommend for anyone with knee or back issues at least not until they install a ramp. The room was nice though and it was clean and a safe place to sleep.

They advertise an indoor pool but….. the windows and doors to the outside were broken letting all the cold air in. Water was murky and it looked like no one had vacuumed the pool in a LONG time! Unusable! And there’s no USB plugs in the room to charge your phone!! Rooms otherwise were fine ( except for a filthy microwave, which I never used.) Breakfast was average but for this older hotel I was surprised there were hot options at all! I’d say pay a little more and go to the Drury Inn next door!

Room was clean but bathroom was not to my expectations of a hotel, when using the bathroom I noticed blood in certain areas of the bathroom(light switch, walls, outside of tub, door) i don’t know what happened and don’t wish to know but I will definitely book again once they get a better cleaning crew but other than that the service was amazing

I’ve stayed before and it was excellent. The bathroom was dirty, the floor in the room was sticky. It was not at all maintained. I tried calling the front desk to ask a question and the person who answered said “I don’t know” and hung up. A disappointing experience.

On the surface the place looks nice and then you realize the bathroom is not really clean. The bed frame is all scuffed up. It is generally not in good shape. Cleanliness is not a priority.

We stayed one night. The front desk clerk ( I forgot his name but he’s an older black man) that was there when we arrived was nice and straight to the point. The room we had had dead roaches in the cabinets, and the walls are thin. You can basically hear everything from other guests. When we were leaving the morning clerk (older white lady) was almost harassing a guest to hurry up and check out. She was at their door basically almost trying to put them out even after the guests told her ok give them time. The manager set at the front desk, heard the exchange, and did nothing. Yea, we won’t be back and don’t recommend

Don’t let the pictures fool you. This place is a dump. Run down, dirty, there’s cracks in all the tiles in the bathroom. The tub was dirty and stained, the AC barely worked, we got towels sent up and two of them had stains which I hope were rust. They offer complimentary coffee which was barely ever full or cold when it was there. Most of the outlets in our room didn’t work. And the staff was awful.

There was spider in the bathroom in the ceiling. The paint was pilling in the bathroom ceilling by the vent The bathroom is extremely small. The toilet had old urine on the back toilet by the seat cover. You didn't see it until you let the seat cover down. The clerk was not really friendly at check in. The hard wood floors was loud when you walked on it. The suite bedroom doesn't even have a door to separate the rooms.

We were placed in a room on the 1st floor. Above our room was the workout room. Literally the ceiling was falling into the floor from the beating and banging on the floor above us. We wanted our money back ($400) and left the hotel.

The property was very clean, the rooms were awesome I was a bit surprised since it was an older hotel. They were very helpful with our check in and the complimentary breakfast was great. We will choose them again when in Birmingham

The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful. We had booked a room but last minute decided to come a day earlier and they were able to accommodate us with a great room and price.

There were hookers in the parking lot when we arrived. High on drugs. The rooms microwave waa disgusting. Tried to eat the breakfast but at 9 he was putting it away, ignoring me when I asked if we could just grab a few things before he threw it away. He was rude. Why treat customers like that?

We had the worst experience EVER at this hotel. If we hadn’t booked and prepaid (they refused to refund) we would have left. It was just a quick stop to sleep enroute to elsewhere. We were charged an extra $100 at check-in and the desk clerk was rude and refused to come to the room with us to verify condition and told us no one would be available to verify condition at checkout “and if you don’t pay the deposit you won’t get refunded for the room charges”. Room had many areas that were damaged at checkin (we took a video at checkin and as we were leaving) and the bedding was stained. We will avoid all Best Western Hotels going forward.

Room was nice, beds good and water hot. They had coffee and hot chocolate available 24 hour. Staff was very nice. A/C not as good. Also, had $100 deposit that did not know about. Had a sign to read as was checking in. But, already committed to staying. If was listed but I didn’t read then my fault.

This hotel is conveniently located. There are a lot of options for dining. The hotel was nice but a few things could be updated. The rooms are large with a separate sitting room and small kitchenette. Hotel staff seemed nice.

We asked for a first floor room or room near the elevator due to a medical condition. We were reserved a room on the 4th floor where we had to walk a long distance to get there. We had to walk down stairs from the parking lot which was not disability accessible. I would not stay here again.

It was just ok. The breakfast was bad. Everything over cooked and hard to eat. The front desk was not rude but mot friendly either. Have a bad knee and asked if there were carts to unload. Front desk said “yes by the elevator by the side door which is the door you need to use to get to your room.” It had 8 steps that had concrete breaking off to get down to the side door. So the cart really didn’t do a lot of good. Still had to walk door the steps with multiple trips to unload the car. More of a nuisance than really anything bad except my knee hurt the next day while I repeated the process to load the car. Single mom traveling with daughter and her little dog so someone else unloading the car was not an option. Not a place I would recommend for anyone with knee or back issues at least not until they install a ramp. The room was nice though and it was clean and a safe place to sleep.

This is my kids favorite place to stay when going to Children’s of AL. The pool is indoors, the rooms are spacious and it’s close to a lot of stuff without being in the congested middle city. Only about a 15 min drive to the hospital.

We arrived late and just stayed the night on our way to Florida then out early the next morning. The room was clean, nice and looked great. Breakfast was awesome. We will definitely stay here in the future plus it was way cheaper than the hotels next door.

Everything about this facility / service was average (at best) Not altogether negative but nothing to write home about or to share with others. A/C was noisy -renovations to bathroom area was sub-par. Breakfast was complete with powdered eggs and little choices of fresh fruit for oats or yogurt.

Hotel lobby shows signs of major water damage from the ceiling to down the walls. The first room I was assigned had mold on the AC & bathroom vent. The 2nd room was mold free but the ceiling showed water damage, the room felt damp & the bathtub had a constant drip. It worked for a quick 1 night stay but wouldn’t stay for multiple nights.
