Palm Desert Suites

Small pool was perfect temperature (83), and unit had full kitchen with electric stove/oven, full refrigerator with freezer and sink. Two beds (queen and double) were really comfortable. TV was small and on far wall, but many choices (Netflix, Prime et.al ). Could not find live TV, but maybe because I didn't know how.

We stayed for two nights and had never been here before. First, the good. The location is good, central to lots of different things in the area. We had friends at the JW and it was a little over four miles away. The room is nicely updated, especially the kitchen and bathroom areas. No issues with parking. The room overlooks one of the pools, which looks nice and is heated. No hot tub unfortunately. There is a great balcony and the bathroom is nice with dual sinks and lots of counter space. No tub, but the shower is a decent size. Now for the not so good. The room is not a suite. It is simply one fairly big room. Obviously the bathroom is separate, but there is no separation between bedroom, kitchen, or living area. The living area is not conducive to watching TV. Although there is a nice size closet in the bathroom area, there are no drawers for clothes. There is plenty of room to have a chest of drawers. The couch doubles as a futon, but would be hard pressed to fit more than one person. There were no additional pillows, bedding, or blankets. There was only two of us, but it would’ve been nice to have some extra pillow choices and an extra blanket if we needed it. The place was generally clean, but after walking around for 10 minutes in bare feet, we noticed our feet were black. The LVP didn’t appear dirty, but it was disgusting and must not have been cleaned in quite some time. There is a nice size fridge/freezer, but no ice machine and no ice available on the property.

Hard to describe this place…unusual comes to mind. No signage, no office. Manager meets you on the street to give you the room key because the “office is flooded”. Rooms are huge and are in decent condition. Mattresses and pillows are “just ok”. The big pool is heated, even when 90 outside. We actually didn’t mind that since the hot tub was quite hot and the small pool fairly cold. Managers were very good but even after a five night stay it just felt odd. We were literally the only people in the pool each of the 8x we swam. Nice, yet eerie. The area was quiet, and our rental Jeep survived. We kept the top open so that prying eyes wouldn’t literally pry or cut their way in. Would we stay again? Probably not, unless the rates came way down. It was $1500 CAD for five nights in March…a bit much for what you get.

My unit was not as shown in the photos…I selected a luxury suite, but was given a half updated suite instead. The floor was the old tile shown in some of the photos. The bathroom and kitchen were not updated at all, except for maybe some paint and the lights. The dishwasher knob was missing, making it unusable. The kitchen also didn’t come with anything to use the oven, the living area furniture was just 2 old chairs and a coffee table (no couch as advertised), the bedsheets were pilling like from being washed with towels too many times, and there was no laundry or gym (as advertised). Lastly, the WiFi router light is very bright and faces the bed, which can make it difficult to sleep. & the fridge in unit 33 makes a constant tapping sound that will not stop unless you unplug it. The staff was extremely nice. I wasn’t feeling well on check-in day and they let me check in about a half hour early so I could lay down. A maintenance man noticed me struggling with the door and immediately came to see if it would be okay for my stay. Housekeeping came 3/4 days I stayed over. If you’re looking for a no frills place that’s very affordable, with a kitchen and your own bathroom, this is it.

Although this was advertised as a luxury suite, it was anything but luxury. The office for this facility is not labeled. There’s no phone number I only was able to be directed to the correct person because a maintenance guy saw me wandering around the property trying to find the office. Once we got in the room, there was a very noticeable chemical odor mixture of cleaner and insect spray that even though we tried to air out the room, never fully went away. It really made the stay uncomfortable. There was no microwave in the room, even though that was an advertised feature. The front of the stove was completely missing. We had to ask for coffee for the coffee maker. Although we had three people clearly on our reservation, there were only two towels in the bathroom. Furthermore, there was a blue light on some type of apparatus on the ceiling that we could not turn off. It kept waking me up at night and I had no way to block it off or turn it off. Having there’s no office present on the property. I could not go to find help at night to figure out how to get this horrible light off. The floor lamp in the corner of the room could not be manually turned off, and we had to unplug it to turn it on and off The good point of it is the location was convenient to the stage theater that we were attending a production at. There is food and grocery nearby. The room itself was very quiet at night in the area was also quiet and the parking was well illuminated.

Being that this is a vacation suite is under renovation, it was awesome for what it was. I contacted the property, and the response was immediate from Al, the guest relations. I was texted a code to get into the two rooms we had booked and he even allowed us to come in early so my traveler from Argentina was able to use her computer to work. Esmerlinda (housekeeping), Horacio and Jairo (renovators) were super fast in finishing getting the other room ready with cleanliness and the NEW air conditioner repair. We were upstairs facing the pool area, which was newly renovated and heated. My traveler did not have any problems with the Internet upon using it. Both my parents and my cousins were amazed how beautiful our rooms were with the bathroom and shower in one area and the sinks in another so getting ready was easy. My father’s only hiccup was the curtain didn’t cover the permanent hotel light facing down on the pool (we thought it was the balcony light we forgot to turn off). Being so new, there needed to have been a trashcan under the sink (we grabbed the bathroom one) and a sponge for the dishes we used. Kitchen was stocked with coffee and a Keurig machine, as well as a very powerful microwave, dishwasher, toaster, big refrigerator and all new linens. Since I traveled with two couples, I stayed on the futon, which had a beautiful knit blanket draped over it. I should have read about the amenities which did not include an elevator, aside that it was great! Will be back!

Quiet and very safe neighborhood. Surprised to get amenities and daily cleaning which we didn’t expect. Loved the roomy shower, and areas to sit on sofa or eat at a large counter.

My stay was for 3 days. I left after 2 because it was not a good situation. The door had been kicked in and the dead bolt was only hanging on by a thread. The sliding door going out to the patio was sealed shut. It also had what looked like a bullet hole in it. There is no office on premises. If you get locked out there is no way to contact someone to get you in. The bed was mushy. There was no cable tv. The neighborhood was dicey. The pool isn't heated. Bad. It is sad because it is a classic 60's Palm Desert design and style. If someone put a few million into it, they could have a nice place. Ownership is not responsible to keep it up.

There is no room service or attached restaurant but there is a grocery store across the street to stock the kitchen and plenty of restaurants and several dining opps within walking distance. The A/C was perfect, kept us nice and cold inside during a scorching heatwave and refreshing resort-like main pool that kept us cool on the outside. TV viewing options were great too with a nice mix of cable, streaming, etc ... and the internet was fast and constant. I work remote so that was truly appreciated. Management and staff were extremely accommodating and very responsive. I needed to check-in early, extend my stay, etc... and YES was always the answer and they always got back to me right away!!! Last but not least, great value - low price with NO hidden parking or resort fees!!!

Overall the property was clean and well kept but we booked a king suite and when we arrived received a twin double. When asked to switch said they couldn’t? We booked because of this and the hottub and gym facilities (as advertised) no hottub and no gym on site. Room had no shampoo just hand soap. One hand towel and no facecloths. When inquiring about the above the communication stopped. We didn’t even stay the last night, very disappointed. A lady did bring some pots/pans and was very pleasant but we were misled thinking we would have a king bed and other advertised facilities. This should not be allowed.

The dirtiest air bnb ive encountered in the US. Mold, leaking toilets, every room smelt like a cigar. Neighbors were smoking meth, blasting music & physically verbally abusing small children. Reported with no respons

The room was immaculate 5 ⭐️'s across the board. My only gripe is the TV os entirely to small ..lol its not even a 45'' TV. If they added a bigger TV it would be absolutely perfect

The shower didn’t look sanitary.

ROOMS WERE BIG BUT HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED AND SHEETS NOT CHANGED IIN 3 WEEKS, HAD TO ASK AND ONLY WAY TO COMMIUNICATE WAS THROUGH TEXTING OR LEAVING A MESSAGE, WORSE PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED IN MY LIFE AL WAS NICE, NINA ONLY HOUSEKEEPER WAS NICE, BUT I THINK THEY ARE MORE LIKE CONDOS RENTED OUT CALLING THEMSELVES A HOTEL NEVER GO THERE, DOORS WOULD NOT LOCK TOO UNSAFE FOR AN ELDERLY WOMAN, NOT HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE AT ALL!

This place is nothing compare to what is in the website. First I didn’t get the room I paid for, False advertisement, when asked “David said we are booked “. Second this place was dirty, dusty, roaches coming from the restroom. I had one more night in this place, I decided not to stay because of the place being dirty, dusty, and the roaches. I asked to speak with the owner and “ David is going to say that owner doesn’t want to give you any reimbursement because I was supposed to have checked out on Monday! When my check out was until Tuesday. Monday @ 10:44 a young man comes to the door asking me what time was I checking out? Why I check out until Tuesday! Young man says “okay I’m going to check! They are very unprofessional, they don’t know what they doing. I called Hotels.com to see what can they do and I only received $50 reimbursement, because the staff said that I was smoking in the room, (not true) and that I had 5 people in the room which is not true! I told the staff come and smell the room to see if it smells like smoke, they didn’t want to come in. I have pictures of this place take a look and tell me if I’m lying.

We stayed here for Coachella and the price we paid for what we got was not acceptable and the room didn’t meet even basic expectations for cleanliness. When we got back from the festival our first night and pulled back the sheets it looked as if someone had been sleeping in them for weeks. Hair and filth everywhere. We had to call the woman who checked us in who kindly came back at 2am to change them. Despite this the rest of the room remained filthy for the rest of our stay. The lack of basic cleanliness was not acceptable at any price point but much less at hundreds of dollars a night during the festival.

It was my husband and my son’s first time in Palm Springs and our stay in Palm Desert made it a super easy drive. Our room was like a luxury studio apartment with a shaded balcony. We only stayed the weekend so there was no need to use the stove or microwave but it’s nice knowing have that option for longer stays. The room was clean and staff were super friendly. We ran an hour past our expected arrival time but we were greeted by Jessica who showed us the way to our room. We will definitely be back.

Too noisy upstairs. Sounded like furniture being dragged around. Kids running inside back and forth. Refrigerator loud when it turns on. Cleaning agents containing very strong smell. Kitchen and sleeping area very nice. Bathroom is probably a work in progress but unappealing. Needs complete upgrade to accommodate the good looking living room appearance. Needs another trash bin in the kitchen area.

This was an affordable room compared to other PS accommodations. It was clean upon entry. The bathroom and shower were great. The TV has an Amazon fire stick that works. The TV is small but functional. The bed was uncomfortable and pillows were cheap. It felt like they were made of crate paper. That’s my only complaint. It was well worth the price.

Room was fine but the drapes were not black out nor lined…and were floor to ceiling but at least a foot off the ground there were two large lights across the way that shined directly on our room The picture is during the night Our room was completely lit up as if it were daytime Making it extremely hard to sleep Shower was lined with red plastic…… There was a complete kitchen with full size frig stove oven microwave coffee pot But only one coffee cup 4 small glasses and only one drinking glass Overall good place to stay If they would replace the drapes

The service started out wonderfully. However, when I told management that the heater didn't work I lost all communication with them. There isn't an office on-site and this was confusing to me. There was a wonderful woman named Kim who tried to help me with the heater but to no avail. She gave me an extra blanket but I was freezing for 2 nights. Also, the TV wouldn't turn off so they cut the power to the TV entirely so NO TV. The curtains wouldn't shut completely so the light on the outside deck shone in the room all night. Also, no coffee maker. What?! I wouldn't recommend this place but apparently Building A is remodeled and quite nice. I was in Building F. It's a funky place that wasn't clean. However, I will say that the small little bed was comfortable. Don't stay here.

It was a weekend getaway for my husband and me, and we had an enjoyable two-day stay at Palm Desert Suites. David and Jessica were excellent hosts, attentively catering to guests’ requests and needs. When we noticed there was no iron or ironing board, I texted Jessica, and within five minutes, she provided both. The hotel is 3 min drive away the El Paseo shopping district, actually it’s easily walkable.The room was very spacious, featuring a generously sized balcony that allowed us to enjoy fresh air at all times. I would recommend keeping the balcony door open for about an hour before check-in. While I didn’t notice it, my husband initially felt the room had been closed up for a long time. However, after we opened the balcony door, he changed his mind within 15 minutes. We didn’t swim but other guests enjoyed the pool as well. We will try it next time. Thank you again Jessica and David, keep up good work!

Palm Desert Suites was an interesting stay. My husband and I stayed last week for two nights while visiting palm desert. Upon arrival, there was no front desk or check in. We called a number and left a message in about 5-7 minutes, the owner came to our car and checked showed us our room/gave us our one key. She was very nice and helpful. She walked into our room with us and looked if we had towels, we did not and stated that they would be there in 15 minutes. We did not see the worker after about 30 minutes and had to leave to our engagement. The next day, we left in the morning and came back in the evening. When we came back, our room had been entered, there were towels left and the bed was striped and made. This was strange simply because they were in our room without our knowledge with our stuff present. The bathroom shower was very dirty and there was a used bar of soap in the shower. There was no shampoo, condition or body soap provided. Overall, if I had to stay here again, I would but I would not necessarily recommend it either.

My family and I decided to stay at Palm Desert Suites based on the reviews from Hotels.com. The check in process was very different than anything we have experienced before. We received a text message letting us know our room would be ready after 4pm. We arrived and followed the instructions to park by the flagpole. Weird, do they not have a loddy? A lady came up to our car, which freaked out my wife and daughter. It was a long day so after inspecting the room (E33), we tried to watch TV and relax. After looking around we noticed a lot of things inconsistent and wrong with the room. Trying to make the best of it we went to bed and we woke the next day and my wife’s back was killing her. We notified the property that we wouldn’t be staying the 2nd night, see pics of the texts messages back and forth with the property. No refund has been issued and hotels.com wasn’t much of a help either. No refund has been issued, this property does not keep their word.

Prior to my visit I spoke to the team at the hotel to inquire about late checkout and if they had a shuttle service at their hotel to Coachella. They said I could check out at 2pm and also had shuttle service for us. The weekends of Coachella we asked about the shuttle service and they said it was down the street at the grocery store and that there would be a fee, which was not disclosed when I booked and inquired about it. The day of our check out they said we needed to be out by 11 because they needed the room despite confirming earlier that we could check out later.

The check-in process was entirely digital, and really efficient. We knew exactly where to go and what to do. Any questions were promptly addressed. Al checked in on us after we arrived in the room and reminded us we had access to the heated pool. Very nice touch. The room furnishings were up to date, clean and comfortable. We were impressed and will make a point of checking out Palm Desert Suites on our next visit.

Check in was a little bewildering, primarily due to me having missed a text message while driving to the property. While searching for usual signs of a check-in or reception area, I luckily encountered a helpful staff member outside the property who alerted me to the text message which contained the various codes for access to room etc. After that, everything went well - with clean, spacious room and lots of dining/shopping options within a very short drive.

Had a very hard time finding hotel. There isn’t a sign or visible office. Wasted a good half hour plus some level of stress. It was dark out. Had the correct address but looked like a residential property.

Room very clean. I agree with another reviewer about size of TV. Bed about 20ft away and TV quite small. Mattress was a bit soft. Loved the kitchen do easy to eat or prepare meals. Pool was lovely and heated!! Location was a dream, close to shops, stores, malls, easy to drive places. Big ask would be to feel safer. Wish door had an extra lock to use when in for the night like they have in actual hotels.

If you would like to have a kitchenette and pretty large room, this is a good option. I did not have an updated room, but the bed was comfortable, the kitchen worked and the water in the shower was hot and powerful. Bring all the specialized kitchen gear you may need, because it is very limited. The TV is a wee bit small and you do not have daily maid service. On the plus side, you can walk to the outdoor shopping center, a Sprouts market is close by and the neighbor is safe. I would stay here again (and I would probably be visually happier in one of the updated rooms). Again, not a bad option especially for the price that was amazing in comparison to the other hotels nearby.

Wonderful stay! While the property is older, the studio apartment was fully renovated with brand new appliances and a very comfortable bed. The location of this property is only a half a mile from downtown Palm Desert, which offers lots of shopping and great restaurants. The only negative is that the smart tv only had Netflix loaded; no other apps or regular tv channels. For the price point, room size, amenities and location, I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely return.

Price and location.

A bit difficult to fibd, but good otherwise

Check in was a little bewildering, primarily due to me having missed a text message while driving to the property. While searching for usual signs of a check-in or reception area, I luckily encountered a helpful staff member outside the property who alerted me to the text message which contained the various codes for access to room etc. After that, everything went well - with clean, spacious room and lots of dining/shopping options within a very short drive.

Small pool was perfect temperature (83), and unit had full kitchen with electric stove/oven, full refrigerator with freezer and sink. Two beds (queen and double) were really comfortable. TV was small and on far wall, but many choices (Netflix, Prime et.al ). Could not find live TV, but maybe because I didn't know how.

It was my husband and my son’s first time in Palm Springs and our stay in Palm Desert made it a super easy drive. Our room was like a luxury studio apartment with a shaded balcony. We only stayed the weekend so there was no need to use the stove or microwave but it’s nice knowing have that option for longer stays. The room was clean and staff were super friendly. We ran an hour past our expected arrival time but we were greeted by Jessica who showed us the way to our room. We will definitely be back.

Property was clean and everything worked, but would've liked more than two coffee pods and an ice machine or ice tray in the fridge.

Really comfy bed and spacious. Forgot to bring coffee but no problems went to diner not far away. Only stayed one night but was good.

If you would like to have a kitchenette and pretty large room, this is a good option. I did not have an updated room, but the bed was comfortable, the kitchen worked and the water in the shower was hot and powerful. Bring all the specialized kitchen gear you may need, because it is very limited. The TV is a wee bit small and you do not have daily maid service. On the plus side, you can walk to the outdoor shopping center, a Sprouts market is close by and the neighbor is safe. I would stay here again (and I would probably be visually happier in one of the updated rooms). Again, not a bad option especially for the price that was amazing in comparison to the other hotels nearby.

The room was very nice and spacious with cooking facilities. Our room backed onto a pool which was nice; the pool was heated but our days there was quite cool (mid January) so we didn’t use it, but otherwise would have. Lots of amenities right close by. Quiet and very safe neighborhood. Surprised to get amenities and daily cleaning which we didn’t expect. Loved the roomy shower, and areas to sit on sofa or eat at a large counter.

Wonderful stay! While the property is older, the studio apartment was fully renovated with brand new appliances and a very comfortable bed. The location of this property is only a half a mile from downtown Palm Desert, which offers lots of shopping and great restaurants. The only negative is that the smart tv only had Netflix loaded; no other apps or regular tv channels. For the price point, room size, amenities and location, I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely return.

Amazing find...a real gem! From beginning to end I couldn't be more pleased. The room was like a studio apartment with a nice kitchen equipped with refrigerator, stove, pots, pans and dishware which was so convenient. There is no room service or attached restaurant but there is a grocery store across the street to stock the kitchen and plenty of restaurants and several dining opps within walking distance. The A/C was perfect, kept us nice and cold inside during a scorching heatwave and refreshing resort-like main pool that kept us cool on the outside. TV viewing options were great too with a nice mix of cable, streaming, etc ... and the internet was fast and constant. I work remote so that was truly appreciated. Management and staff were extremely accommodating and very responsive. I needed to check-in early, extend my stay, etc... and YES was always the answer and they always got back to me right away!!! Last but not least, great value - low price with NO hidden parking or resort fees!!!

We really appreciated the full kitchen, comfortable bed, large bright room. Walk out to the pool deck was great. The staff were friendly, always accessible and helpful.
