Came during rhe LA wildfires. They didnt raise rhe rates which was very appreciative. You can pre book and ask for golf course view where the 1st floor is great, you patio is the golf course grass and spacious. Or ask for Mountain view which is great also. The pool is perfect for kids 10 and under. Pool is away from accommodations so your room is peaceful.

Charging $25 a day for parking and charging for getting your room cleaned and paying for towels is not what we signed up for. We always go to this hotel and we enjoy it every time, this time they hit us with the extra charges they decided to add which is always included when you book your stay in every single hotel we visited, and we travel alot. This is not ok. Now it’s the time to find another place.

Gorgeous property and AMAZING pools. Extremely family and kid friendly. Super clean and just beautiful all around the property. The extra $25/night parking was an annoying hidden cost, as was the extra cost for “towel service”. But overall an awesome place to stay!

Our stay at Shadow Ridge was fun. The pools are great and there are convenient shuttles to transport you from one end of the resort to the other, and directly to your building. The only food options are the bar and grills at two of the pools, and a marketplace in the reception building. The pool bar and grills close at 6:00 so there really isn't a dinner option after that, unless you want something from the cold case or shelf at Marketplace. There are bbq's throughout the property and kitchenettes in the rooms, but if you're looking to be on vacation and not have to cook and do dishes, you have to go off property for dinner or order meal delivery. It would be great to have a couple of restaurants onsite for dinner and room service.

Had a great time, but came back to the room one night and was getting ready for bed and saw a few roaches crawling on the walls. Woke up me and my girlfriend and she couldn’t go back to sleep until I killed them. Hoping I can talk to someone about this.

I like property overall, but shower water pressure was extremely low and I called maintenance and they responded quickly but they couldn't slove the inconvenience. This is one of the top hotels chain, they couldn't fix small issues.

The resort was great. Kids had so much fun swimming in all the pools, daily activities and using all the amenities the resort offers. The only thing i did not like is that i found a few roaches in the kitchen and main bathroom.

It was average at best., calling it 4 stars is a joke. Despite my bringing a cleanliness issue to 2 different staff members' attention, e.g., on the 2nd day, and despite personal guarantees that the matter would be taken care of, 9 days later, nothing was done. I had to ask for housekeeping at all. The "bed" is nothing more than a well-used foam mattress on a plywood base. Finally, I booked here for rest and relaxation, the room was roadside and so noisy the patio on the 2nd floor was unusable. I asked on 2nd day to be moved and was told that was not possible for 2 days - fair enough - then nothing no follow-up, no communication at all. And to top it off at the end of your stay they text you and ask you to remove your trash and recycling to outside cans. I just gave up, paid my bill and won't be back

We had an easy check in. Everything went well. Our rooms were clean n comfortable. We would definitely go to back to Shadow Ridge. Our stay was exceptional. Although, one of the days the large pool was over chlorinated and bleached four of the six that went on the trip. But otherwise everything well well.

Convenient for a golf trip with mini kitchenette in room and parking right in front of building. We happened to have a gorgeous golf course view from our room. Only complaint is that there was no mobile service in the room and wifi was completely unreliable.

We loved the beauty of the resort and enjoyed watching the golfers from our patio. The room was nice and comfortable. The towels were rough. Need some softener. We could easily hear the people next door.

Grounds are beautiful. Easy to find your way around the resort and to your building. Our unit was a one bedroom one bath, full kitchen, living and dining room, balcony and in unit washer/dryer. Very spacious! Kitchen well equipped. Coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans, dishes, utensils. They also provide and replenish dish soap, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, paper towels which was nice. King bed was very soft. Lots of pillows. Housekeeping comes in every other day with fresh towels, makes the bed and tidy’s up. We stayed 2 weeks. After first week the bedding was also changed. Would definitely recommend this resort. 4 large pool areas with tons of seating. They offer lots of classes and programs to get involved in if you want. Only complaint is that the walls are very thin. We were on main floor and could hear the people talking on either side of us, and hear their tv’s. The people above us sounded like elephants when they walked around. If we stay here again, we will definitely request a top floor room.

Wouldn’t stay at this location again. What morons place a refrigerator with an ice maker 3’ from where you sleep. Just about once every hour throughout the night the ice drops in the plastic container within the freezer and the water tray cycles waking you up. Very frustrating.

Property is nice and perfect for the kids. If staying more than 2, and need to use sleeper, be aware the bed won’t be made and a thin blanket provided. The sofa bed is not comfortable.

Stayed in a villa. Very spacious. Very clean. Very quiet. Well equipped kitchen with washer and dryer. Nice balcony overlooking golf course and snow capped mountains. Friendly, helpful staff. Did not like 10:00 am checkout requirement. Overall, would recommend and would probably stay again despite early checkout.

The resort property is beautiful. As well the pools are very nice, lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Our suite was a king suite with sofa bed. Had a small fridge, microwave and toaster. Was very dated. Needs an update. Bed was comfortable. Very small patio on main level with no view.

Very nice and spacious with a beautiful balcony and plenty of living space. We also loved that it had a stove we bought some frozen pizza at the walmart down the street and it made an easy dinner. Also it had a washer and a dryer which we took advantage of from when we were done with the pool

Disappointing Customer Service – No Flexibility for a Simple Request Review: We’ve been loyal guests at Marriott Shadow Ridge for years whenever we visit Palm Desert, but this recent stay was incredibly disappointing. All I asked for was a simple 2-hour late checkout – check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at 10 am, which is barely even a full day. Unfortunately, the hotel refused to accommodate this reasonable request. It’s really frustrating when loyal customers are treated this way, especially when the request was so minimal. We weren’t asking for anything extravagant, just a little more time to enjoy our stay. The rigidity and lack of customer care make it clear that guest satisfaction is not a priority here anymore. After this experience, we’ll be taking our business elsewhere in the future. If you’re looking for a hotel that values its guests and offers a bit of flexibility, I’d suggest considering other options.

Constant noise and privacy issues as the hotel placed a split group on both sides of my room. For hours this split party used my patio as a walk way and a hangout between the two rooms. This group hung out and stared into our room and living space. Security came to address however only told me and my family to not engage with them only to call them if it proceeded. Well, it proceeded for the duration of my stay. Hotel offered no solution to the issue. It is unlikely I’ll return. The way the property handled the situation is as poor. For the price, I’ll book elsewhere for my families privacy.

This is our second visit to Marriott's Shadow Ridge. The property is impeccably maintained. Guest services are second to none. They were so helpful and accommodating and communication excellent! Five star service. Lots of activities planned as well. Pool areas are clean and beautiful! Love the big outdoor pool screen to watch sports and movies. Proximity to area amenities is fantastic. Safe and beautiful. Will stay again.

The property is quite nice, but the experience was lacking. Parkingbisxa nightmare and the $25/night fee isxan additional insult when yiu can't even find a spot. Check-in is at 4pm. Our room wasn't ready until 5. Check-out is early at 10am. Before 9am, housekeeping pounded on the door despite the do not disturb sugn on the door. Israel, the bartender at the pool, was awesome...very personable guy. I wouldn't go back.

Beautiful resort. Nice pools. The studio was a bit cramped in kitchen area and they did not refill the coffee when room was cleaned (midway through our stay). We also had to request more bath/shower wash because initially it was just water in the container! Would stay here again though. Close to lots of conveniences.

The studio was essentially a lock off second bedroom of a two bedroom unit. We were in building 1300 which as of February 2024 had just been freshened up. We could still smell the fresh paint in our unit. It had a nice size refrigerator, a microwave, a dishwasher and a smattering of dishes. You certainly would not be able to have a full scale meal in your unit, but breakfast and lunch could easily be handled. Our balcony overlooked the 18th Fairway, and was very pretty. If you are a light sleeper, this unit did face the main street called Monterey and there was a bit of traffic noise. The unit was spotless, and very nice! It was small to be sure, and having more than two people would be difficult. Parking was easy. The property is huge and has multiple large pools and accompanying hot tubs. The pools and hot tubs have seen better days in terms of maintenance, but were a very pleasant temperature and relaxing. The service at the resort was outstanding! Everyone was very friendly. It was in a good location. Relatively close to interstate 10 and it was easy to get around the Palm Desert/La Quinta area. We hope to come back someday soon.

It was very clean and well kept. We were there the “off season” so it wasn’t busy at the pool at all. The property was awesome with a kitchenette and lots of grocery options within a 5-10min drive. Not super walkable but I don’t think many places are there.

Hotels a little dated but overall was good. There was a long line to check in and not enough staff. Hardly anyplace to eat. It seems like a time share conversion. More like a residential than a hotel. Pool was nice and warm. Jacuzzi was over crowded. Location was great.

When I made the reservation, it was advertised as having an onsite restaurant for the guests. I only learned it has been closed for 3 years when I checked in. Communication is poor. Putting luggage in storage is inefficient. Try it and you will find out. Poor management. Never staying here again.

Overall, the property was very nice, with lots of activities, though mostly aimed at kids. The condo was very nice and spacious, perfect for an extended stay. Though we had to call several times to get all of the supplies that we needed as they were not stocked or stocked with a very small amount. The main restaurant being closed was a huge bummer as that meant if you wanted to eat onsite it was at a poolside restaurant/bar. However, the location was very convenient to most areas of Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage,
