La Quinta by Wyndham Houston West Park 10

After Expedia's virtual credit card was declined, i had to pay for the room again. I also paid extra for an early check in and a late check out that the property didnt see the notes on until i mentioned it to them. The pool was closed and there was no hot tub.

shower leak all night, toilet did not flush correctly and elevator make ugly noise when go up and down. only one elevator was work.

When we checked in young fellow not friendly! Didn’t tell us when breakfast hours where or that first elevator want working had to walk all the way to other end! Parking wasn’t lit up fence in ill repair and trees needed to be trimmed! Our room was okay, deadbolt on door would not lock! Bed was comfortable and room temp was great! Small tv limited channels! When leaving no one at front desk had to figure out on my own to put key card in bowl I assume was sanitizer! No sign nothing so I left!

They do not have enough staff. We walked in to check in and waited alone in the lobby for 15 minutes for someone to show up. ALOS, there are no functioning smoke alarms in the hotel! They are all hanging from the walls, detached. I know, since we had to change rooms once and both rooms had "hanging" smoke alarms.

Not well maintained at all. Dirty. Questionable clientele. Elevator was broken and didn’t work. Snacks & drinks were locked up. Do not recommend.

There were ants, roaches. No hot water. The hotel is under renovations. Elevators nor ice machine didn’t work. Customer service was good though.

Great location, easy to access Katy Fwy. Everything is close by. Quiet. Room is OK. Front desk young lady is friendly and amazing. Nothing to complaint about it. But this building definitely need a remodel.Elevator is not working but I don't use elevator it's FYI for others. Door handle is broken. Water is dripping in the bathroom cannot turn it off tight. I wish to stay there again but need to remodel the whole building.

Room was large and was clean. The surrounding area and building outside was very rundown. Elevator and downstairs bathroom were both out of order. Lights in my bathroom did not turn on. It took 2 days to fix them. They did offer to move us but had already unpacked due to the fact we were staying for a few nights and they said they would come fix the lights while we were out. Got back late and light still not working and maintenance people gone for the day! Will probably not stay at this LaQuinta again.

Rooms were ok, no hot tub; eggs were watered down, the table and chairs were old and phone was not answered when we got lost.

I have stayed at many La Quinta hotels before. This one was clean and breakfast was good. I was informed when I checked in that there were no vending machines. I was disappointed that there were no water bottles provided in the rooms and no where to buy water. When I asked at the front desk, the rep said “I told you no vending machines!” The side entrance door was broken so it was left unlocked all night. There were 2 of us in the room but were only given clean towels for one of us. I checked out last Saturday and I still haven’t got my $50 deposit back. Not my best La Quinta experience.

Worst experience ever staying at a hotel. It’s a very rundown facility. The curtains in the room had huge holes in them, a/c vents in the bathroom ceiling had dust accumulated. The bath tub had old stains. The water was luke warm. The bathroom sink water pressure was very low. Would never stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is a dump.when you first walk in your are blown by a really bad smell. Our 1st room smelled like something died. Our next room smelled like mildew, the carpets were gross. We ended up not staying and moved to a different hotel. Hotel is old and the rooms are in need of a renovation. The lady at the front desk was really nice and apologetic. Property and rooms are a zero, staff is a ten.

The rooms are outdated which isn't a big deal. However, the side entrances didn't lock, our room keys kept deactivating, shower dripped all night even though it was off, restroom was missing door knobs, mold on ceiling, the beds were more like XL twins my teens could barely fit and they have no roll aways, the hairdryer almost caught on fire when I plugged it in amongst other things. I don't remember it being that bad when I stayed last time. I told front desk about the issues and was told that they'd make a note and accommodate me which didn't happen.

Incredibly dirty room, appeared to be a dead worm on one of the beds, old food on the back of the pillows- which appeared to be couch cushions stuffed into a pillowcase, stains on the floor. After a 15+ hour drive, we just wanted to climb into a clean and comfortable bed, but we couldn’t. Overall was terrible.

The smell was bad, dirty, old.

Easy check in and convenient room on 1st floor. There was a smoke smell in nonsmoking area. Looks old but it is clean

I was on the 4th floor and it was very noisy this morning. Someone had a couple of dogs in their room and I could hear them barking. I wanted to sleep in but someone was in the hallway yelling at the top of his lungs so needless to say, I didn't get to sleep in. I must say the lady at the front desk was very cordially and accommodating.

Old property need updating

Nice room. It could use an upgrade but overall a pleasant stay. Staff was amazing, especially the front desk attendant.

I had high expectations of this place since I’ve heard alot of good reviews from la Quinta. The beds were suppose to be queens and they were full. The shower curtain in the restroom is a curtain that wouldn’t stay in place , so you were exposed and water gets all over the restroom. The restroom has no vent so it gets really stuffy in the room after a shower. I had also asked for extra towels to shower and they didn’t have any large towels available both days , the staff is on their personal phone talking while they help you , which is rude. They need to put a sign outside so people don’t drive past it. Beside that it was an ok stay.

Comfortable

This is a great hotel! One of the best La Quinta's that I have stayed in. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the location of the hotel is great and convenient, the breakfast options are great, and the room was big and comfortable. The hotel does have two elevators, but the main one in the front was down. They have a second one in the back that worked just fine. There were no complications checking in and there were no problems with my room. I don't think I would stay anywhere else when visiting Houston!

The front desk staff was awesome. She was very accommodating and friendly. Room was nice and beds were comfortable.

I liked the location which is very convinient but that is about it. Phone and alarm in the room not working, so evey time had a need I jad to go all the way downstairs from the top of the building. Been there for 3 days so every time bring to the their attention they told me it is written down and someone will look into it but come back at night and nothing changed. Walls are super thin so when someone sneeze on the hallway you can hear so forget about your next door having a party when you are trying to sleep and of course you can't call the front desk because the phone not working. The TV didn't have a remote and when brought it to their attention the gentleman came with a remote to turn it on buy won't leave the remote because that is the only one down there so we need to go get him when we want to turn it off. Was deceived that a property as such wouldn't get on top of such small requests and let it be the only taste remained on the customer's mouth.

Perfect stay, front desk took good care

Terrible Experience - Double Charged and Full of Hassles My stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston West Park 10 was a nightmare from start to finish. I booked and paid through Expedia, but when I arrived, the front desk said I hadn’t paid and had no record of my booking. I had to pay again, getting double-charged. The employee said I needed to resolve it with Expedia for a refund, despite this clearly being the hotel’s mistake. The hotel itself was in poor condition. The water from the pipes was rusty, and the hallways and rooms reeked of a musty chemical smell. The elevator near the lobby was out of service, so I had to walk to the far end of the building, only to reach my floor and walk all the way back to my room. On top of that, my key cards didn’t work. After several trips back and forth to the front desk, the employee eventually followed me and, after 10 minutes of trying, got the card to work. But every day, I had to deal with the key cards malfunctioning. The night front desk employee was also rude and acted like helping guests was a burden. It took over an hour of sitting in the lobby and going back and forth with both Expedia and the hotel before they admitted their mistake and issued a refund. Between the double charge, the rusty water, the bad smell, and terrible customer service, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I only made it to the front desk as they cancelled my CONFIRMED reservation 15 minutes after I arrived to check in. I was told at the front desk that they had cancelled my reservation by email. They literally left me stranded. I was displaced from my home due to loss of power from the freak storm that hit Houston. I will NEVER stay at a LaQuinta or any Whyndham property ever. Poor business practice.

The manager and supervisor of this hotel have been the worst representatives of customer service. In the last year I have been traveling from California to Houston every weekend and I have never had such a unpleasant interaction as I had with them. They are extremely rude and disrespectful. I don't understand how someone like that can be in contact with customers. As the manager of my company, I have warned my 28 employees not to stay at that hotel.

The location is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. I was concerned for my safety, as It seemed as though there was something going on that I wasn't aware of.

The hotel was completely nice. The only thing was the location was notclose to where our family lived. We were able to use a sister htel that was closer to the desired location. Holiday Inn. Very clean and welcoming. Breakfast was mid.

This hotel was relatively close to where I needed to be. It fared well through the hurricane. But there was no refrigerator or microwave, a fact I didn't think to check on when booking. Due to the hurricane there was very little breakfast on Monday and there was a group of 6 children there without any adults, taking almost everything available.

Nice hotel! Easy check in , tasty breakfast . Clean environment beds were a little hard to sleep on . Maybe we had a new mattress . Would definitely stay again and recommend other than that !

Breakfast kids loved had a little waffles for little ones hands. The pool is nice the rooms are great. The only thing I would say it was ok was a full size bed for 4 people. But that would be the only thing I would say maybe think about.

This place has seen better times and is in need of serious updating including a good clean up of the entry. Breakfast was decent but spoiled by unprofessionally loud and wisecracking conversation of hotel staff mostly by cook/food handler; Annoying. I had a pet cat and the room I was assigned to.has 2 heat activated deodorizer attached to the heater/ac vent, that was on on high power as you come in. The smell was so strong it caused headache and nause. Carpet on hallway smelly dirt. constant water like running noise an on and on and on...dissapointing. Would not recommend.
