Door handle was broken in the pool area. Was stuck in the bathroom for 30 minutes until someone opened the door. Property is overpriced. Couldnt get a signal on television and it was very small. Bathroom was very small

The hotel was very dated and didn’t feel clean. The pool water was almost green and smelled like pee with little to no chlorine smell. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, but that’s about the extent of the good qualities of this hotel! It did the job but we would definitely recommend looking elsewhere first.

The room was very clean. The stairs going downstairs needed a good cleaning the handrail was sticky day and night. Cobwebs and dust on the walls and landing. Elevator was not working Friday or Saturday. Had to use stairs which was fine for me but if I would have brought my husband there would have been a problem, he is in a wheelchair. The elevator should have been fixed emptily. I ate at the breakfast bar the first day. Got there at 8:50. It closes at 9:30. They said they had run out of biscuits, fruit, one of the cereals. Very Disappointed in the BREAKFAST.

The rooms were outstanding! The beds were very comfortable and we would like to know where we can purchase the pillows haha! The only issue is the pool room. It’s very very slick and the hot tub is awkward to get to and from pool. Other than that very relaxing. We stay here quite often. Will always return. Staff is always the best.

I reserved a room for me and my girlfriend at the Port Clinton Holiday Inn for our trip to Put in Bay. When we arrived, we noticed stains on our bed sheets and many spiders inside of the bathroom. We ended up avoiding sitting things on the corner of our sheets and killed the spiders in the bathroom. Throughout the stay there, we both noticed we were feeling off and ended up with headaches. We didn't think anything of it until we were leaving Friday morning. We noticed that there was black mold inside of the air conditioner in our room. Had we have noticed it earlier, we would have requested another room. My girlfriend also woke up with several bug bites on her legs and feet after sleeping there. Other than that, the rest of the stay wasn't too bad. The coffee machines were awesome and the breakfast was delicious. We also enjoyed the outdoor area that's on the back side of the hotel. You have to be careful though when sitting at the tables out there due to the amount of spiders all over the place.

We have started at Holiday inn express in several cities throughout the US. This was the first time I have ever been disappointed. Overall the hotel is nice. The staff is super friendly and helpful. My room however, was not the cleanest. The amount off mold in the bathroom was totally unacceptable. The bathroom floor obviously hadn’t been mopped properly in quite some time. Hearing general conversation amongst the staff, apparently they are short staffed. Breakfast was ok but this particular hotel had no pork free meat options available. This was also a first for us.Will this deter me from staying at Holiday Inn Express again? Probably not. We have always enjoyed our stays before.

We stayed the night and wasn't impressed with the lack of cleanliness of the room. There was dirt on the bathroom floor and carpeting within the room. The bathroom ceiling vent fan cover was laying on the cabinet in the bathroom, which caused us to look at the discolored ceiling.

I wanted to share some of our feedback of your recent stay at your hotel . Overall, our experience was positive , the staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the food and amenities . However, I was very disappointed in our room when we arrived. The room was not cleaned bugs and everywhere , hair in the shower and candy in the beds and on the floor.it made the space feel uncomfortable and not up to your usual standards.

Staff was very nice and pleasant. The hotel itself was sub standard for a Holiday Inn. The outside of the facility was very nice but the rooms were not for the price paid. Musty smell in hallway and room. Some mold on ceiling tiles in bathroom, etc. Again, staff was great. Hotel itself not worth the money.

Great location to do many things in the area. Breakfast was stocked regularly— coffee seemed to run out a lot— but it was certainly busy! Front desk was very helpful when key cards didn’t work. Lesson learned to keep them separate from cellphones. The room was just okay. We had problems adjusting the air conditioner unit—the room (and rug) felt very clammy no matter what we did. Clothes left out to hang felt slightly damp and nothing would dry out on its own. We were there several nights so we made the best of it. We probably should have asked for a different room, in hindsight.

the only reason I didn't cancel my reservation upon entering my room is I know it is a pain in the ass to be reimbursed from Expedia for a pre-booked room. the whole place smelled musty and thankfully it was only me and only a room to sleep in. I would never let my family stay at this place, it's really a rundown dump under a fresh coat of paint.

Our keys didn’t work and the person at front desk suggested us to wait until the next day, we weren’t the only ones experiencing this issue, around 10:30 pm the fire alarm started ringing and nobody was able to tell us anything, according to the front desk manager the was an electrical issue, nothing to worry about but they never informed us about it. There was people scared and kids crying.

Check in and out was very easy and painless. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Kim at the counter was super helpful and provided lots of information. Breakfast was good. Great location to attractions. Didn’t get to access the pool so I can’t say anything about that. Stay overall was great. Next time my husband and I head that way, we’re staying at this hotel again.

The room that we booked (for our family of 5) was not available. We were offered 2 joined room. Pushed all of our stuff down, there was no door between rooms. Back to the desk. Ended up squeezing 3, 9 year old kids and 2 adults in a queen with pull out which meant horrible sleep and zero space. Offered our room for night two which meant more wasted time on our trip packing everything, moving rooms. We were initially told we would be reimbursed entire stay. Bad communication. Told when we were leaving from front desk, price was adjusted first night to smaller room price. Then told 1st night was comped. Couldn't talk to the manager, she was in the building, but "is sick". Have not seen reimbursement yet. Hotel was not very clean and smelled of cat urine.

Good central location to access Lake Erie Islands. We went to Put-in-Bay one day and Kellys Island the next. Both were within 15 min. driving time to get to the ferry. Close to Port Clinton which has a nice selection of restuarants.

The property needed upgrading. The treadmill in the gym did not work. The bathroom doors in the pool area would not close. The breakfast was the same everyday, and did not have anything I liked. I had to go to the local store and buy my own cereal to eat.

The beds were nice and clean along with the room itself being mostly clean. The morning breakfast was nice for a hotel. Pancake maker, multiple kinds of cereal, juices, milks, fruits, yogurts, cinnamon rolls, breads, and eggs bacon/sausage and biscuits and gravy. Overall a great stay close to the islands!
