Room was very nice, clean and welcoming. However the only reason why we booked here if to enjoy the pool and hot tub. When we checked in, we were told that the pool and hot tub has been closed since November. Was very upset with that.

Check in was normal - but pool and spa out of service. I asked for a discount, the desk attendant said talk to manager in the morning. When checking out - i asked about a discount because of the pool she said no. There was no “management” on site. Kinda disappointed with that. When i asked about sending out “outgoing mail” she told me to go put it in the mailbox at the next door hotel. Um no. Room was nice, but pillows were small, square shaped. Beds comfortable but noisy getting in and out. (Sounds like tin cans) Shower had a slimy floor. Elderly beware. Hotel Room door, had to shove or really pull the door closed. Breakfast- they have daily specials written on a board- that was nice - Friday - scrambled eggs and sausage, oatmeal, waffles, hard eggs , cereal. Bagels/toast jelly cream cheese, coffee juices.. so that was nice. So other than the “attitude” I would say good stay, be careful in the shower.

Booked it for the pool since I was visiting my grandchildren and they love to swim, but ultimately found the pool closed(had been since June). Would have been nice to know ahead of time. Room was ok. Lots of room to move around but one of the curtains were torn and dirt in window sill track and no extra sheets or blankets available in room for the pull out. One of the bedside lamps didn’t work as well. Just little things so it didn’t ruin my stay, just minor inconveniences

I booked specifically for pool and jacuzzi and once we got here I was informed it was temporarily out of service but at the time of booking it was not on website. Staff did offer full refund but driving in a storm to get here we just stayed.

Upon first entering room there was a stale cigarette smell. This was a non-smoking room. I was the only one to notice so I let it be. They didn't take care of the room or restock the bathroom after the first night. I know some hotels do some don't. I went to the front desk to get 4 sets of towels for us to shower. They didn't have enough clean towels for us. We managed. Got to the breakfast area to find there where no more seats available not even sure of we could get to the counter to even get food so we went to Tim Hortons. We get home and my daughter has red bumps on her back...yup bed bugs. So the minor things I would have not even did a review. But after the bed bugs I felt I should let it be known.

The room smelled like mold and the bottom of our socks became black when walking on the carpet. I feel like recently, the room was flooded and it wasn't properly cleaned. Hooefully, my wife and I dont suffer any long term effects. There was a large pile of garbage outside the side entrance for our entire stay and the pool area was out of order. We stayed here last year and had no issues. Looks like no maintenance has been performed since then. We will not be returning.

Overnight stay while traveling, Bathroom was dirty, room felt damp ( AC was turned off until we entered room), 2 conditioners/ no shampoo and pool and hot tub closed. Breakfast was mediocre. Every year we pass through Batavia for a one night stay on our way to a final destination. We always stay at this hotel as it has been consistently good. Of note there are two hotels under different brands on the property. They share a main desk and lobby, but the other one is a little plainer. Both are fine. Our room was spacious and comfortable. A pleasant surprise was there was actually adequate lighting! The mini fridge was on the larger side compared with what we've encountered in other hotels. It was big enough to have a small freezer section. Hotel breakfast was your typical fare: waffle maker, 3 flavors of cold cerial, one egg and one meat on a chafing dish, some bagels and muffins. Only complaint was that the coffee was poor and they didn't offer either splenda or stevia. (Nutrasweet isn't suitable for hot beverages and I dislike sweet and low). I will stay here again next year

There wasn't much control over the heat/ventalation. The curtains captured much of the heat as there no way to hold them away from vent (I ended up putting the empty ice cube box next to itto push the curtain against window).

Hotel itself was just fine. But being woken up at 5:30 each morning to slamming doors and people stomping upstairs was not what I expected. Also stomping at 11 at night was annoying when we were trying to sleep. Doors are all loud. Breakfast was good the first day, second day we ate elsewhere. Pool was nice for the kids. No hot tub as pictured on their site. Disappointing for the adults. Overall, I would stay again on the top floor and as far away from other people as possible.

There was no one at the front desk for our arrival. We waited 5-6 minutes until someone arrived on their phone. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not up to the reviews (egg & sausage patties were questionable). Morning staff at checkout was lovely, friendly & very personable.

We were traveling for my son’s lacrosse tournament and the hotel I originally booked was for the wrong night. They were sold out, so I got a refund and had to find something last minute. This was the only place available. When we arrived, the woman at the front desk sat on her phone and ignored us until I finally said hello. Without looking up she said, “I don’t know who you are, I need your ID.” After I handed it over, she told me she didn’t have me in the system and that I’d have to wait. The rudeness was so palpable that my 10 year old son looked at me, clearly uncomfortable. A few minutes later she told me the only room left was a handicap room, which I hadn’t booked, but I agreed just to get checked in. The room itself was filthy. The chair was out of place, nothing looked cleaned, crumbs were on the floor, and Netflix didn’t work. I wasn’t going back to deal with her again. With no options nearby, already waiting on a refund from the first hotel, and it getting late, I just covered the pillows with shirts and put a movie on my phone for my son. We left first thing in the morning. In 20 years of traveling I’ve never left a review, but this was by far the worst experience. Unless you’re desperate, avoid this place. Rude service is one thing, but a dirty room is unacceptable at over $200 a night.

This was as always good for the price, room only had two towels but slept 4. Freezer was leaking into fridge. Kitchen area had good food but no one to clean up the disaster that some lady and her two kids made all over the food area!
