This hotel has character in spades, but the movie kitsch in the lobby and in the halls didn’t make up for the horrible smell in the room. The smell emanated from the bathroom, so it may have just been sulpherous water, but it was very unpleasant. Luckily the windows in the room opened so we aired it out as best we could. Restaurant was ok, but badly understaffed. Our server was wonderful, but very hard to find, since she was taking care of so many tables. Food was a bit greasy but it was tasty

This was a great stay! The staff was so friendly and eager and happy to help with anything. The rooms were clean and updated. The restaurant and bar were also very nice. I would definitely recommend this little piece of history to anyone traveling through.
