We pull up to check in and there’s bullet proof glass, and no access to the lobby. Then three Tinton Falls police officers pull into the parking lot due to an incident, the elevator is out in the building, people look like they live in the hotel so there’s some vagrancy, The rooms are small and have an odd odor. What else can I say?

The hotel is under renovation. It is very noisy, even on Saturdays. There is a lack of respect for guests in this bad situation. The staff are not equipped to serve guests. The rooms smell of cigarettes and dirt.

They were under construction with the roof being torn apart on a Saturday morning starting at 7:30 am. All parties should have been notified thy they were under construction. So loud for a Saturday morning.

Very durty! Their was hair in the bathrub snd the dunk from domeone else, it looked lik someone shaved snd just left it like that. The wooden floor was sticky. The mattress had 2 spots rhat were sunken in. Heat didn't work. Table was wibbly and the roller chair was broken. We dud find change on the floor and a chunk of hair under the table. Elevator doesn't work. Bathroom hust smelled weird. Message button was flashing when we got in the room, we trued to play it about 10 times and all we got was no one is available message.

The front desk staff were personable and professional. The room was lacking comfort and cleanliness . The floors were dirty (I only walked barefoot from the bed to the shower and had so much dirt on my feet), there was a blue liquid stain on the bathroom floor in several places as well as the shower (it was easily able to be cleaned as I tried myself), there was a stain on the microwave door that was also easily able to be cleaned. The bed was quite uncomfortable and all of the ice machines in the inn were out of order.

Bare-bones budget motel, providing what you pay for. Bed had a noticeably cheap mattress. Bathroom and shower, sink fixtures poor condition. Key cards kept decoding to not open the door. The Wi-Fi sub-standard not working often. Could barely load a web page. No freezer section in refrigerator. TV dim and no streaming or Bluetooth. Parking lot messy and guests sketchy. The location isn’t within walking of anything to shop or eat. Our stay here was just one full day to visit the beach as rooms closer to ocean were hard to find with our dog. And all NJ beaches don’t allow dogs 8am-6pm after Labor Day through the summer…waste of time

Property seemingly under renovations. Check in was easy. However, as soon as I walked out of office I got fresh red paint on my hand and sleeve when I put my hand on handrail. Card key didn't work. Sink clogged. Flies in sink. Broken bottles in elevator. Trash overflowing and on floor. Shower hot water difficult to regulate. Etc. Etc. Etc. Not a pleasant stay.

Television and internet was not working. Front office said they were having a problem with multiple rooms having no tv or internet. Was told i could not get a complimetary nights stay or monitary compensation. Thats how you loose customers

Didn’t seem like it was cleaned thoroughly. We saw bugs, holes, and mold in the room. My husband and I were legitimately concerned for bed bugs, and refused to sit on the bed. We checked out 1 hour after checking in.

Immediately walking in the room there's a weird smell, floors were sticky, found several families of roaches staying with us, along side the clear smoke stained walls and mold on the ceiling in some areas, and not to mention the complimentary cigarette holes in the comforter for an added touch. I don't think I will ever be staying at this inn or any Red Roof Inn in the near future. The week that we stayed I can tell our sheets weren't changed out or cleaned once, it barely felt like even the bare minimum was being done in terms of cleanliness. I've stayed at Motel 6's in better condition than this. Truly the worst stay I have ever had on any vacation. ever. The only good thing about the place was that the people working there were friendly enough, quite literally the only redeeming quality to the place.

Unpleasant stay, room smells like cigarettes which isn't good for non smokers w/ asthma. Floor wasn't clean, shoes stuck to it. Dry, dirty, stained washcloth left from previous customer. Bath towel had stain on it. Bathroom tub was dingy and needs resurfacing. Toilet paper holder was missing, toilet paper was stacked on back of toilet which fell in the toilet. Return vent in the bathroom has dirt build up and handle to get in bathtub was dirty and stained. Please see pictures!

Staff was supportive upon check in. Smells outside the room and inside the room weren’t very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable and newly renovated along with a few pieces of furniture throughout the room.

Hotel was okder and a bit outdated. Howevwr it has bewn redo e at one poi t in time. The air conditioning worked really well and it wasnt too noisy. The bed was comfortable for me and pillows were good too. Tub was stained but bathroom was sufficient. Not sure about the area. Didnt feel 100% safe but just watch tour surrounding like always. I felt the peice was absolutely ridiculous for a Red Roof. But we needwd a place as cloae to Asbury as possible without the beach rates. All in all, one and done. It met our needs.

Our room was simple and clean. The a/c unit basically needed to be turned back on every hour all night. It was very loud but did little. Room was hot and sticky then passable then hot and sticky and on and on. So, I slept very poorly. I am surprised how pricey this place is to have to deal with that. For $90 a night - I'd deal with it. But for $180, very disappointed.

We checked in and never stayed the first night. We were assigned room 212, the entrance door has approximately 8 to 10 kick dents on the lower half of the door. Brought the keys back the next day. The front desk staff was very pleasant at check-in but when we returned the keys the very next day and requested a full refund, we were told they didn't have our information in the computer although they just checked us in the day before. I did call hotels.com on 11/1 and requested a full refund. Haven't heard anything yet from hotels.com.

The room I was 1st assigned Room 124, the tub in the bathroom had a large crack in it and some type of stain that resembled the crack. The front desk clerk told me "it needs to be reglazed." I told him the crack needs repair not a reglaze. I pushed down on the crack and it sunk. I went to the front desk immediately and asked for different room.I was put in room 220.I went to take a shower and nearly slipped and fell.The tub is way to narrow.Probably from constant reglazing.I took a shower holding on to the grab bar. I went to Walmart the next day and bought a mat to put inside the tub. When I putthe mat in the tub it curled up the sides proving the tub is NOT the standard width nor is it safe to use because of the reglazing. The a/c in the room is old and needs upgrading. It didn't cool the room efficiently. It was also apparent that people live at the hotel. If it had not been the 4th of July week I would have requested a refund and left to find other accommodations. The fan in the bathroom hasn't been cleaned in ages. They don't dust the ceilings. I had to look at the dust on the popcorn ceiling hoping it wouldn't fall on me. I took pictures of the fan, ceiling, cracked tub, and tub with the hotel provided bath mat but don't know how to post them with this review. Maybe when I hit submit the optional will appear. I won't be returning to this Red Roof Inn. To the response specialist PLEASE don't respond to this. I have seen your responses and they are ridiculous.

When i went to check in for my room I booked 2 months in advance, I was told that there were no rooms available to me. There was no explanation and no helping me figure out what to do being that I was here from out of state. This was unexpectable and I should be offered compensation for this mess.

If i could give a negative rating, I would. Upon arriving, i felt uneasy as there were 3 different people just eyeing me as i got out of the car to walk in and check-in. The front desk person hardly spoke english and when i handed them cash, i was missing part of my change. When i got to my room, it smelled of cigarette smoke and mold, walls were yellow and stained, bathroom door did not stay shut, mold was along tub and wall, shower handle was hanging off the wall and just by sitting on the bed, i could feel the hard springs poking at me. My bf and i immediately looked into going elsewhere and when we found one, we went downstairs to get a refund. When i told them the issue and that i was leaving, i was told i couldn't get a refund unless i talked to the manager! I gave them cash. When i put my foot down demanding my money back, i was told to wait 10 minutes because someone was coming. Another gentleman showed up and explained that i couldn't get refunded for that night, but will get refunded for the rest of the stay. At that point, i just wanted to get out of there and agreed to getting back money for the other nights. When i got my money back, i was still missing some change. Will never be going back! You get what you pay for!!

It was good. The gentleman who checked me in was very kind and polite. I was charged 142.99 and I was told it was 124. Not sure where the extra twenty came from. He let me know I can get a copy of the receipt to ease my mind. What I did not like was the aggressive woman who knocked on my door at 11:22am telling me check out was at 11 and that I need to open my shades so that it indicated I was leaving. First of all, the phone is the polite way to reach out to a room guest. Banging on my door like you’re the cops isn’t. I had my purse on and my bag packed on the bed bc I was literally about to leave. Her attitude and demeanor was very hostile. Shouldn’t be in hotel management. That was the worst feeling I have ever experienced at a hotel when leaving. Not to mention it was my first solo stay at a hotel in years. Guy in am great woman following morning AWFUL.

I arrived at the property and was scared to go out of my car to go check in, cause of the unsafe hang outs on the property. So i drove away and never checked in. I tried creating a refund and it didnt allow me cause the time of check in has already began

The vibe of the property and clientele was shady, dirty, and creepy. Definitely not a place for out of towners. Several cars in lot had their laundry in back seats. I think people were living in the rooms. Not a place of comfort and didn’t feel safe. They would not give a refund.

it’s a dingy dirty hotel but it’s a place to lay your head. the safety lock on the door didn’t reach which was unsettling but the staff were nothing but lovely. the coffee in common areas is not true though.

Didn’t have high expectations. Room appeared clean but smelled, sink stopper was stuck and wouldn’t drain, toilet sluggish when flushed and not a convenient location. Closest place to get coffee was a 2 mile drive. They did have coffee makers in the room, but I never use them, not sure they get cleaned thoroughly. Only needed a place to spend a night while on the road, but I wouldn’t recommend or return to this place.

I only stayed for one night and couldn’t stay any longer because I cannot take the smell of marijuana around. Once I got in the room, the smell get strong. I just have no other place to stay late afternoon that is cheaper as in this hotel that’s why I cannot leave. Also, there’s cockroaches (see pic) No bottle water inside for refreshment too. I don’t want to ruin a business but I hope they improve the condition of the room specifically the smell.
