Convenient downtown location with convenient parking! Plus, the free hotel shuttle was an extra perk that allowed us easy access to nearby destinations. Staff was nice and room was clean and sufficient supplies for four guests. An overall great weekend stay!

Not good very disappointed booking this on your site false representation of conditions of hotel. Picture of Hotel and interior of rooms breakfast offerings are completely misleading as hotel current conditions are a lot older and worn down than pictured in you site. Also pictures on your site shows facilities for a great looking variety for free breakfast showing hot tables and such but the offerings for breakfast were very lacking We were very surprised at the difference than what was pictured. Also on your ste it says local shuttle available which was one of the real features that we needed as we were in town for a 3day car show and we’re going to use to go back and forth but when we arrived we were told that it only runs between 4pm and midnight which would not work for us at all. We then had to book a rental car which was on short notice so that even cost us more than if they told us when booking.The only availability for any drinks or snack was just two machines off of lobby which both were out of order not out of product, but not working and was told by staff has not for over a month. And there is no where near by to go to in area which is not a great area to walk in And the room I booked was told would be able to be adjacent to another we had booked but when we checked in as the rooms were a single and a double whic mean they are only available on one side of motel or the other which really made it inconvenient for people we were travelling with.

The front desk person was pleasant and helpful. At first, she gave us a room at the end of a long corridor. It was furthest away from the front desk. It was in the rear of the building. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The room was large, there were several windows. One of the windows was sealed with a black tape. That window had a large group of black gnats in the top corner. I guess there was an ongoing leak and the area remained damp, which allowed the bugs to flourish. At night, if I stayed there I am certain I would have been bitten. Instead we changed rooms, There was a rear entry to the building, that door was broken and anyone could pull it open without a key card. It did not convey a felling of safety. Also, the curtains in both rooms were dirty and stained. The bathrooms were both clean and there were a good number of clean towels and wash cloths. The beds were clean and the linens were clean too. This is my first time staying in a hotel with doors that open to the outside. I would not book this type of room again.

Visiting from Canada for a Wings game. Great location. Right by the border. Shuttle service was super convenient. Dropped us off at the game and picked us up at midnight after having some dinner.

Good experience. Used their shuttle to ballpark. Had a muffin and juice for breakfast. Clean room!

Lost hot water in the morning without any prior warning, had to shower at another hotel.

The staff was friendly and efficient. Check in was easy and the shuttle was a nice surprise. The hotel itself is very aged. It suited our purpose and have us a place to sleep after the game, but it's definitely a no- frills location. Parking is not fenced or otherwise protected and our vehicle was damaged while staying here.

Decent beds and room was large, overall not bad. Staff nice, didn’t try the breakfast. Parking was easy and free. No pool

it was good! Outstanding feature was the free shuttle to any where downtown - drop off and pick up - fabulous feature and really GREAT driver, Rich! He was very helpful!

The lobby has been renovated and is nice and clean, but the rooms are still in poor condition. I wouldn't want to stay in a room with a broken door or crawling bugs.

My stay was very uncomfortable, there was dirt in the corner of the baseboard, there was a little odor, the top blanket had lipstick on it, there was paper towels by the little fridge, there was hair in the sink.. I had no option but to stay here, I booked on line. I arrived around 3pm I had an outing at 7pm, and I left at 5am.

Toilet is not secured to the floor. Sink doesn’t drain. Room smells like smoke. Tile floor is greasy. Hotel is not as clean as pictures on the website show. If there were other rooms available we wouldn’t be staying here.

Bad smell in the room, wifi didnt have signal in our room, limited options for breakfast, couches were not clean, there was some insect in the room.

We arrived late around 10 pm. The Surfaces in the room were sticky, I went down and asked the clerk for some Clorox wipes and she handed me two single wipes. The remote had crud in all the crevices so we had to wrap it in a Clorox wipe to handle it. The wipes after we cleaned all the nightstands, tv stand and touchable surfaces in the bathroom the wipes were brown. The AC did not work in the room and when I informed the front desk all she said was that she would inform maintenance. We asked for late checkup and were told our room was reserved for someone else and they proceeded to rush us out of the room by calling and saying housekeeping was waiting outside the door and they weren’t. The carpet was extremely dirty and looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. The bathroom had a very musty mildew smell.

Rooms were incredibly dirty.

Walls were crazy thin and had noisy guest next to me. Tried to call the desk and no one would answer. The room was not very clean and had ants in the bathroom. Overall just a sketchy place to be. Will not ever stay here again.

The photos are extremely misleading. The entire facility was poorly lit, unsanitary, and in very poor conditions. This was close to the City, but in a very unsafe neighborhood.

The bed seemed clean but the floors and shower floor were pretty bad. Lots of long dark hairs in the bathroom and shower. Highly recommend bringing flip flops for both. Front desk check-in was super easy and friendly. TV didn’t work very well. Volume only worked for some channels.

I was not happy with the room. The bathroom had a dirty yellow curtain and the bed is a full size bed. The room was super small. The pictures on line look different than in person. The people that work there are very nice but I was not happy with the room.

Noisy room with ventilation all the night and the door wasn’t air/noise tight. Bed too soft not so comfy. Didn’t sleep very well. Restroom is ok. Breakfast not great, broken toaster, broken waffle machine… some little fixing could make the experience better.

There was gum stuck to the floor, and the bathroom was technically clean but I could tell attention was not paid to detail. The walls were pretty thin so I could hear the people directly on the other side of the wall. The room was very warm, there was a window unit AC but it didn't work super well and was very loud. The area around the hotel was fine, and there was an expansive grocery store nearby which was nice. Bare minimum amenities, including the hotel breakfast which was pretty sparse especially if you have dietary restrictions (no protein options, very few gluten free options, no fresh fruit or anything like that).

This is a very basic but clean and satisfactory budget option. There was a lot of noise, both from other guests and traffic, but it's a cheap motel in downtown Detroit, so to be expected. The location is excellent.

The room I was in had a connecting room which there were at least 5 other people in there talking loud all night. You could barely walk in the room it was so small. You couldn’t even open the refrigerator door the room was so tight. Would not recommend to anyone with legs. Plenty of other options.

Located within walking distance to downtown. Rooms have been updated. Thin walls and you hear your neighbors. For the price its a good deal.

The rooms were nice, nothing fancy, but clean. The staff was friendly and helpful when needed. The only issue I had was weak internet signal strength, but that is a small gripe, they should get more APs.

The service was great and very nice, but the walls were paper thin and I could hear the people in both rooms next to me yelling all night. Very clean spot, but had a very hard time sleeping.

Still waiting for my deposit to be paid back. Staff could not tell me when I might receive it. Staff were completely unhelpful. I asked a few questions about my room and each time the member of staff on the reception desk just told me to ring the head office. Terrible service.

We stayed for one night, the receptionist went above and beyond to help us, she is a star. Room had everything we needed and more. Next the public transport route and also a short walk in Greek town. Breakfast was grand for a comp was very happy to find they had eggs. Brilliant we would stay again. Thank you

Keesha was working the evening we checked in. She was very nice and helpful, and went above and beyond, letting us know how the shuttle worked, local attractions, and making us feel very welcome. She is a wonderful woman, and a great employee!

The staff were very friendly and they were able to accommodate our requests and fix small issues quickly. There are some areas that could use a little maintenance but nothing that impacted our stay. We would stay here again.

We couldn't get help at the service desk had to wait up to 30 minutes to speak to someone.

The staff was very friendly. The hotel was in a great location for our stay. The hotel is within walking distance from the casino, we took a cab back, that was really expensive. Most only took cash so a lot of fees were added to the one that took card. The room was tiny but very clean.

Phone did not work in the room. Let the front desk know and they said they would send someone up but never did.

Excellent service I booked for the wrong date and had no trouble changing. Very friendly staff. The rooms were very clean and they had a shuttle to bring us to the game. Will definitely be back.

I was traveling alone and the night staff, security, and front desk associates in the morning all went above and beyond to provide recommendations for nightlife and make sure I had returned to my room without incident. Really kind and accommodating group of people working there.

Not bad for price and location Room clean and functional Have. Contacted hotel via Expedia to reimburse my deposit twice now with no reply That was 8 days ago!!!

Close to Detroit River Front and downtown.

Wish there was a safe in room. My friend had to have his front door fixed, which maintenance was very speedy on. 15 min walk to Greek Town. There is a liquor mart around corner and at 3pm, police was escorting someone out. I was with 4 people (2 men), but wouldn't go there by myself or later. Uber to Little Caesars Arena for hockey game. Convenient.

In Detroit for a Tigers game. Pleasantly surprised by this place. Staff was very friendly and allowed us to Check-in early so we could get to the game. Room was very comfortable and clean. Hotel is only a couple blocks off the riverwalk, which was a very pleasant walk.

Proximity to Downtown is excellent as well as the Newmarket across the street.

The location on East Jefferson is not what I would call family friendly. It's a wide busy street on the fringes of downtown Detroit. What it has going for it is location location location. If you like to see live music, comedy, sporting events, eat from a very wide variety of good restaurants it's all a walking distance away at one of the most affordable rates in the city. They even have a downtown shuttle service if you don't want to walk. Parking is included. No one messed with my car. They seem to have decent security there. The rooms themselves are basic but clean with decent washrooms and comfortable beds and the area was surprisingly quiet for sleeping. I'll be back there for my next live music fix. Nothing beats a live music event in Detroit!

Great location was the biggest draw. Clique (breakfast and lunch spot) attached to the hotel was great for traditional breakfast at a fair price. Lots of (outdoor) parking at the hotel. Rooms were fine (nothing fancy) but had not been cleaned behind/around the TV area (empty water bottles, Detroit Lions paraphernalia behind the TV from previous guests). Otherwise, seemed pretty clean. Would stay here again for location and convenience.

This is a perfectly good place for the money. We walked safely to downtown attractions, the parking was free and plentiful and the breakfast was solid (waffle machine, yogurt, cereals, juice, etc.). This is an old property but it's decently maintained. No problems.

Good for one on a budget. Don't expect comfort. There were all sorts of things wrong with this hotel. However, I did not notice any major problems. I was looking for an affordable hotel, and this was perfect. On a side note, there is a restaurant connected to the hotel. I believe it is called clique. I don't think its a part of the hotel... I don't recommend this restaurant because the service is horrible.

The so called "free breakfast" wasn't much of anything. They either need to add stuff or do away with it.

Had a wonderful time here, the place was clean, the breakfast buffet was lovely. The only down side is the neighborhood which is sketchy, but aside from that i would 100% rebook.

The room was spacious, but that’s about where the niceties end. The room was dirty, the sheets unclean. The mattress on the pull out couch was covered in stains and had no sheet to cover it up. Clean towels were not offered, and there was only one small garbage can. Aside from that, the “complementary breakfast” was just a couple types of cereal and some bread for toast. There isn’t an elevator, and the hallways were very balmy.
