Hampton Inn Slidell

Staff was great! The only thing was the parking lot need more parking space

Outside of hotel was ok pool area looked run down. Parking was ok not real busy and parking lot was lit up. As soon as we walked into our room it had a musty dirty odor to it come to find out the ac/heater was the source. Smells like it’s never been cleaned. Carpet was little sticky, stains on chair. Needs a good cleaning! Positive note the $50 for incidental credit immediately back to my account upon checkout. I expected a little better for the $

Stayed for 2 nights when we were in town for a wedding. Amenities were average in terms of basics and room was clean-ish (found some old crusty bread on our floor when we walked in?) but pretty outdated. I don’t think the building can handle guests at max capacity because on one of the days, the shower took 20 min to get hot water and when phoning the front desk I was just told to wait because everyone was probably using the shower. Then the elevator ended up breaking on one of the days. Only saving grace was that the free breakfast was really good and Kappy’s Sports bar was across the parking lot and a good time! Otherwise, if it weren’t for wanting to be in the same hotel with other wedding guests, I would’ve preferred somewhere nicer.

Property was very dirty in parking lot, especially around and behind garbage cans. Back door where employees smoke was covered in cigarette butts and trash.

Unlike the same chain Hampton in Fort Payne Alabama this hotel did not charge me for my service pet and gave us a little bag of treats. Great place to stay!

Fire alarm sounded at 12am no fire.Heater doesn’t work need I say more…

Overnight stay on our 2 day trip. We travel with our 2 dogs and they were given treats at check in. Also the pet fee at the hotel is $75 not $50 as shown on hotels . Com. When I mentioned that, I was told that hotels . Com has been informed for over a year and hasn’t updated that information. The hotel desk clerk did reduce the pet fee to $50 which was very nice of her. Good sized room, cold air, comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast- eggs, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit, assorted muffins and other breakfast breads.

An old facility that doesn't deserve the Hilton name. But, I must say, everyone I met was pleasant and polite.

There were problems with the door locks and handles, in the first room the air didn’t work,we had to be moved from one room to another. Door lock and entry were problematic for both rooms, one room wouldn’t lock the other room the door handle wouldn’t open the door. The fire alarm was set off in the middle of the night,which was scary to say the least. Management tried to be helpful. Management was going to give me a comp but unable to due to the fact that I paid through Expedia . Management said they would contact Expedia to try to arrange a refund or compensation for our stay. We will not be staying there again in the near future.

Charged my credit card for an animal fee. He’s a service dog. Was never told by the hotel or hotels.com of a $75 animal fee until I checked out and they handed me a receipt of the charge. They seen the dog at check in and not one employee said a word about a charge. The general manager will hear from me and so will hotels.com

The room was sooooo musty and full of mildew that I had to leave and get another room at another hotel. Spent about three hours in the room and it got to the point where I almost couldn’t breathe. Bathroom was disgusting as were the appliances and carpet. Would never ever stay there again. Only good thing was the guy at the front desk. He was very nice and accommodating but that doesn’t make up for anything I described above.

Room was mostly clean and comfortable but, the AC barely worked and the carpets were so dirty they felt waxy and sticky.

Bathroom was dirty. Toilet did not work properly. Flapper in tank held in place by a cord and not sealing properly losing water and having to manually be sealed several times during the stay. Toilet handle needed replacement as it also did not work. Front desk notified.

The staff was friendly. The breakfast was standard and the area was clean. Our room was NOT clean. The bathroom was dirty- there was hair on the floor in 3 different places along with visible urine to the side of the toilet and the floors were visibly dirty and sticky. There were no extra linens for the pull out couch. The rest of the room was fine.

Room 315 wasn’t up to usual Hampton standards; AC had a very strong moldy smell. This room seemed well worn, needing paint and repairs.

Very clean and comfortable. Nice outdoor area to sit. Friendly staff.

I always love the beds at any Hampton but the room smelled musty. I thinks it’s time they shampooed these carpets, otherwise it was all great!

Our bathtub faucet was not working right. Also the toilet kept running and we always had to jiggle the handle

Everything was excellent but rooms need an upgrade. Mattress wasn’t comfy, shower was kinda meh and needs a fixing. AC needs to be replaced the old ones are too noisy. I could go a little further but everything was great just please update the rooms and install plumbing fixtures properly please!!!!

-The room was very dark due to lack of lighting, Coffee maker was on a shelf near the floor, very inconvenient unless you want to sit on the floor to make coffee. Bathroom needed updating and the tile floors needed cleaning.

Always consitently good stay. Staff is kind and helpful and will correct any issues you have quickly.

Great staff ! Wonderful breakfast ! ! Clean , clean, clean… very pleased ! Jamie on front desk made us feel welcome and went out of her way to place us in a first floor room . 👏👏👏

The woman who checked us in, Angel, was overly cordial and nice to the couple who was in front of us. Apparently they were Diamond-level customers as they were given a bag of goodies. She even wished them a Happy Thanksgiving. When I got up to the counter and Angel saw that I made my reservation through Expedia, her entire demeanor changed. No smile, no nice words. Cold and rude. After swiping my CC for the $50 holding charge for incidentals, she told me to swipe my card again for another $119.50 charge. When I questioned her about that and told her that I already paid through Expedia, she said she knew that, but I still needed to swipe my CC again, so I did. Got to the room & I wanted to take a hot shower. I let water run for several minutes, still no hot water. So I went down to the counter and told Angel. She didn’t say sorry for the inconvenience. Just gave me a key to a new room. The woman at the front desk this morning was everything you would expect for a front counter employee. She was kind, polite, apologized for the error made by Angel, and credited my card appropriately. The woman who was working the breakfast bar was friendly and courteous too. Although I know that several businesses are short-handed and that businesses have to take what they can get, and I don’t want anyone to lose their job, but I strongly encourage that Angel needs a lot more training in dealing with ALL customers with courtesy instead of just to the ones who hold a certain status.

This hotel was very close to a great shopping area.

Property was well maintained, clean. Staff very polite. Kappy's bar next door has great food and drinks.

Was convenient place to stay for a trip in to New Orleans to the WWII Museum and then catch the 10 to Florida

Staff was very nice and welcoming. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I have veen very pleased with the stay so far. They have complementary coffee, tea and hot chocolate all day. Breakfast was delicious and fresh.

It was a quick check in, they are very dog friendly, the rooms are clean and smell good. The free breakfast is hot and the checkout was fast.

Everyone was nice, but the room doors are so heavy and I was leaving for my daughter’s wedding and the door caught my right foot and I went straight to the ground. All the staff are wonderful. I can’t give enough praise to Emily. She prepares everything with the continental breakfast. I had a spill and she above & beyond on helping me get me cleaned up. Thank you Emily.

Really enjoyed our stay. We were there for 3 days. We enjoyed having a nice breakfast and everyday having something different. Staff was very friendly and kept the place very clean.
