Great place to stay for a conference and close enough to French Quarter. Good breakfast. Good workout room.

The hotel overall is really nice..The bar located in the lobby is really cool too..Staff was overall courteous and friendly..Overall I would only give it four stars out of five because the front desk receptionist said that the hotel isn't serving bacon anymore after they use to have bacon sometimes for breakfast...don't take bacon away like that...

Mostly great. The bed had metal prongs protruding on one side. A bit of a hazard. The free shuttle concept is great, the execution was poor. Had to line up at 8 AM to sign up for shuttle time, only one staff person to handle well over 100 guests. I was on the line for an hour. The breakfast buffet was very good

We didn't visit the pool, although there was one. Room was clean and the complimentary breakfast was great. The only thing that i didn't like was not being aware of the required valet parking which included a 49.00 nightly fee. Also they say call doen before leaving room to get your vehicle ready but no one answers the phone. So you have to go down and still wait.

Nice style hotel located just 1.3 mile from French Quarter. Walkable distance to Canal St and further. Quiet inside and outside with safe neighborhood. Unfortunately has a valet parking only $42 plus tax. Cheaper city parking available just one block west. Breakfast like any other american hotels- means untastey things called "food"

Very close to cruise terminal for Carnival. The shuttle will take you as a courtesy.

Parking is expensive.. not just a flat rate

The velvet parking isn't that great only because the area is a little congested you have to keep circleing the block until something is available to take your car

The water was out for most of the second day. The hot water in my room did come on until morning… not a good experience.

Well, Hilton is always my go to. With that being said,after I checked in and checked under the sheets, I discovered the bedding was never changed. Fecal remains in the toilet. Tub was disgusting… front desk lady gave me a cleaner room when I showed her the pictures .

We stayed at the Hampton Inn New Orleans Convention Center for four nights while attending a nearby conference. The hotel’s biggest strength is its location—directly across from the convention center and steps from Riverwalk Outlets and restaurants—making it convenient during hot summer months. Most of the staff was friendly, and the property manager, Bryan, was particularly responsive and helpful in resolving an early issue with noisy housekeeping staff. However, the hotel is dated and in need of renovation. Our room had visible mold in the tub and a leaky faucet. Poor communication from the front desk led us to the wrong floor upon check-in, as the hotel has two separate “3rd floors” accessible by different elevators, and this wasn’t clearly explained. The most concerning issue was security: no key card is required to access guest floors via elevator, making it easy for non-guests to enter. We had a food delivery go missing, likely due to this lapse. The breakfast area was unmanned, and general staffing seemed insufficient. Additionally, phone communication was nearly impossible—the hotel repeatedly failed to answer calls before and during our stay. While the location and air conditioning were excellent, and our final night’s request for a room change was accommodated, the lack of adequate security and staff responsiveness means we’re unlikely to return.

The carpet is very old and needs replacing. Rooms are dated. Front desk personnel were great and friendly. Breakfast was good. Elevators and showers both work very well. Quick response on both and plenty of hot water and pressure with the shower. The hotel itself needs a lot of attention though, which would be. A lot more acceptable except for the $225 a night we were charged. Parking at $42 plus tax is also very expensive.

Found some areas dirty and needed a daily cleaning. The valet parking was too expensive. First was told free then charged $40 . The pool area sitting area had no pillows for the lounge chairs. The bathroom was in need of a scrubbing, The whole room needed a cleaning the furniture was soiled and some needed replacing.

The tub is extremely old and dirty looking i will be asking for some sort of refund

Property was conveniently located across from the convention center and within walking distance of the riverfront, shops and great restaurants. The lobby area was beautifully decorated; the interior and decor were definitely fitting with its location in the French Quarter. Hotel staff took very long to attend to guests; they were either taking calls on the phone or in the back. I waited more than 15 minutes for a staff member to get off the phone. During that time other guests came and left. If you walked up, sometimes staff members were in the back-there was no bell etc. to get their attention. You would have to end up going to the side to try to call someone. Elevators had garbage, bits of food and did not seem to be swept properly. It stayed like this for several hours before it was cleaned. Also, touch points such as the elevator buttons were not clean. This was consistent throughout the hotel.

We had an amazing stay! The room was immaculate. So much so, that we want to request it in December!

Okay, but a bit dissapointing. Very loud room connected to another room. AC didnt work. Breakfast with no healthy options.

Our room was small and in the older part and not well kept. All staff were very nice and made the stay much better

Was a giant room with a comfortable bed

Room was clean, bed comfortable. Could hear the tv from next room that night until late & then we finally was able to sleep. Had an issue with valet but was finally taken care of.

This hotel was amazing, I booked it not realizing how close it was to the Smoothie King Center for a concert I attended with my daughter. The check in process was seamless and the room was absolutely perfect, very spacious it almost felt like a studio apartment. The bed was so comfortable. Also the valet accommodations were very convenient I would definitely stay here again. Amazing property.

The property was good, and the staff was great! The morning breakfast was good; it had enough variety for the whole family with a few good options. I wish they offered more fruit, but that's being picky. The location was convenient; very walkable to a couple key places, where you could then pick up the streetcar or bus. I would have given the location 5 stars, except for two small items: 1) the shower had a crack in the fiberglass wall (I'm assuming this was from settling - it's an old building, so we weren't too bothered by this), and 2) the sleeper sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable! We asked for an extra comforter to use to maybe plush up the bed, but all they had were thin blankets which didn't help. Otherwise, we had a great stay and would definitely come back. Knowing what we know now, we would just book a different room (no sofa bed).

Everything was great except for the bed. VERY firm. Otherwise, would stay again.

The shuttle information is terrible. Got up to wait in a long line only to find out that people paid ahead of time for the shuttle, which was free. Nobody told us we could pay a fee to get on the shuttle list early. Luckily we were able to get a spot. This information should’ve been told to everyone not just a select a few.

Loved the room, very nice. Well cleaned. Only issue we had was with the front desk service. There are almost impossible to get on the phone. We had some reservations concerns but was put on hold several time and hung up on. Couldn’t resolve the issue until we physically was there then got a cold welcome and the people at the desk didn’t seem to want to be there. No hospitality. We not asking for special treatment but at least give us a smile and a welcome. It was like going through a McDonald’s drive through. It’s questionable if we ever decide to stay there again.

Understaffed hotel for taking care of all the people staying there. Front desk understaffed at peak check in times should have more staff.Breakfast was a mess too many people and not enough staff. My wife waited more than 1/2 hour in line for her waffle. My eggs were cold and watery. Potatoes were also cold. Valets were great best part of the hotel.the room was very nice and roomy they had my car ready for me when I asked for it.Bathtub had a drain problem. Not up to Hiltons standards. Lots of people going on cruises from this hotel should have a separate check in for them it was 20 people in line trying to check in.waited far too long to check in.

customer service at front desk is terrible....from check in to check out...they had the "do not care", and "not my problem " attitude "this is just a job I'm clocking in for" This franchise location should re evaluate your front desk staffing and hiring practices...

Warning: Don’t Leave Anything Behind at Hilton Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans-Convention Center I stayed at the Hilton Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans-Convention Center (1201 Convention Center Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70130), and I highly recommend you double-check your belongings before leaving! I accidentally left my La Mer facial cleanser and Starbucks thermos in my room after checking out. Since then, I’ve called the hotel five times with no answer, and left five voicemails—but no one has returned my calls. When I passed through New Orleans on my way back, I stopped by the hotel to inquire. The front desk couldn’t reach housekeeping and told me to speak with someone in the office. The office staff directly told me they hadn’t found anything. I then went to the floor where I stayed and asked three housekeeping staff members, who just sent me back to the front desk. I also asked for a manager’s contact info, but the front desk said they had no authority to provide it. This has been the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, with absolutely zero customer service and no effort to help me retrieve my belongings. Hilton, you seriously need to address this!

Front desk staff was very attentive to our needs. Bob at the bar was great and very interesting to talk to. Breakfast was surprisingly nice.

The check in was horrendous. We waiting line for over 80 minutes to check in. Staff were very friendly and apologetic but offered nothing to compensate for an unacceptable wait to check in.

One desk person checking in new people. Six in front of us so took us about 30 minutes to check in. Paper thin walls plus loud music had us calling the front desk, who did nothing about it! We has to beat on the walls and door to get the to quiet down. Valet took over 45 minutes to retrieve car. Wont be back here!!

Particular thanks to Nelly and Windela on the front desk and Leslie the housekeeping manager for always being so kind and helpful during our stay. Very convenient location to walk to garden district, French quarter and all the central shopping and entertainment locations.

Easy walk along the river and to the French Quarter. Great crawfish at The French Quarter Restaurant. Hotel room was clean, beds were comfortable, and Valet Parking was great. Breakfast was the usual along with omelets or scrambled eggs. Did not try the sausage or potatoes. Would stay there again

The spot was amazing if you're going on a cruise out of New Orleans. It is right across the street from the cruise terminal. You can walk to the port.

Close to restaurants and shops. Great for families. The room was nice, clean and comfortable and the hotel is beautiful and quaint. Were not able to accommodate connecting rooms at check in but were able to get us on the same floor. There is an extra fee for valet parking ($44) which is not optional. We would stay here again.

Our stay at Hampton was one of our best stays ever. Our room can be compared to a stay at a resort. Everything was clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, also the hot breakfast bar was good.

Perfect stay! Breakfast was great with plenty of options. The staff were always very friendly and kind and went out of their way to assist with any issues. The room was nice and comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again. A minor con is that there aren’t many shops/restaurants in the area but that isn’t the hotels fault! Just an fyi if you were hoping for an abundance of walkable options.

The breakfast was disgusting and should only be FREE because of quality. Sausage links and patties looked like prison food, eggs powdered and watery. Service window was short and very earlier for people on vacation who may want to sleep in. No to go options was provided. Dining staff were less than friendly and not accommodating. Front desk staff very friendly. Like that they offer free shuttle for cruises.

The property is well kept, beautiful and spacious The complimentary hot breakfast was delicious and had lots of variety, which changed daily.

The state itself is amazing. It’s in a good area. The hotel was clean. The room was beautiful. My only complaint is if you’re going to offer breakfast till 930 please make sure that the people who wanna sleep in until eight or 830 has breakfast when they get there. We go downstairs at 8:30. The waffle machine is empty. The omelette are empty, half the sausage and the potatoes are empty. Not everybody wakes up at the crack of dawn on a vacation.

It was walkable to the carnival cruise dock. They had a nice bar. The breakfast was so so. We enjoyed our stay.

Everything was great! Best hotel breakfast we've ever had! Very kind staff, very clean rooms, great location, top notch all around! Will be back!
