Absolutely amazing stay! One night for an anniversary trip. Clean, up to date property. My only complaint was that the mattress was hard. Zero other complaints. I don’t do elevators and even the elevators were well maintained.

When we last stayed here a few years ago it was wonderful. It seems that it has fallen down a few marks. The fact that the concierge did not even know the streetcar on our street was down and did not know the bus to take to the streetcar line was a hindrance to our plans. Supplies in the room were not replaced. The elevator was stuck twice while we were there. Also, the taxi in front was not registered with the city. They should be aware of that.

There was a $30 resort fee per stay we were not aware of when you dont book directly with hotel which increased the price. Hotel bar and restaurant closes at 10pm which was disappointing but they have an amazing bread pudding and the best lemon drop alcoholic drink ive had.

Hotel was comfortable, clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Pool and gym were both easily accessible, clean, and inviting. There are two restaurants in the hotel along with many restaurants in the downtown area in walking distance. This is such a beautiful hotel and extremely clean. All the staff were so helpful and friendly. I was in town for a local author/book event and did not want to tote my bags all around town, while waiting for check-in time. They were kind enough to store my bags safely while I went to enjoy my plans. I would definitely stay here again!

Was told incorrect information when calling the hotel prior to arriving from Texas. I was told that parking is included in the hotel stay (we paid in full when booking the room) we spent $500 in total for parking, the person I spoke to at the hotel via phone was very rude and acted like she didn’t know what was going on, all the parking staff were more rude than that and the check in lady and check out lady (both different) were rude, still have not gotten my deposit back, as well as when booking it clearly stated paid in full, no additional charges which was incorrect as we had to pay the deposit and some tourist fee crap, again no communication from the hotel on status of refund. Would NEVER stay at this hotel again, and as my family travels a lot for work will not recommend this hotel. Also, first night ordered room service and it was put by the staff on the tip of the drawers by the tv, immediately 2 roaches came out. Mentioned that to the front desk and nothing was done about it. Upon checkin, the staff was great for the most part. I had issues with WIFI with no resolve. Went to the business center and still wasn’t able to get help and the area was very noisy at 7am . I also couldn’t connect to the WiFi from there either. The leather on the desk chair in my room was torn apart and not appealing given the hotel reputation.

Our overall stay was good. The staff was very friendly! Very convenient and walkable over to Canal Street and one block over from Bourbon, once on Canal. As other reviews said, the property is a little dated and could use upgrades. I found that our room was a little dark and gloomy. Definitely could stand to be a little brighter with better lighting. Along with upgrades, they may want to invest in noise-concealing balcony doors. You could hear everything going on outside, especially in the middle of the night.

We got to the Hotel at 4:30 when check in it’s at 4pm and they had no rooms available when I booked in advanced. It was not just my room it was everyone’s room. I had to be at a concert by 5:30 and they send us to go get ready at their public restrooms which by the way they were also clogged. They called me that my room was ready at 7 pm when I was already at the concert. When we get to our rooms our room restroom was also clogged. Not a good experience at all. Paid over $500 for one night with valet parking and for nothing. Not a good experience at all.

The lady checking me in was rude to the point of almost trying to provoke an argument. It wasn’t me because I asked someone checking in next to me if they noticed the attitude. Answer YES. The shower bathtub was hard to work, dirty, and was draining VERY slow. See dirty. Was only told about “destination fee” of $30 at checkout. Was told this covers the cost of common area. Asked like what common area and answer was LOBBY. Are you kidding.

I liked that when I arrived I was able to check in approximately an hour early and it went smoothly. I received an automated text in about 30 to 40 minutes later asking if everything was okay with the room and I replied yes, about 30 minutes after that someone tried entering my room with a room key. Luckily, I had the latch on the door preventing them from fully entering. I then heard a mans voice on the other side and I yelled why are you coming in here he did not respond. I immediately called and reported it to the front desk and the manager called me back on the phone. I then requested to be moved to another room. It was explained to me that it was a 3rd party contractor that wasn't aware someone was currently booked for the room, a lady was coming to restock the fridge. I then stated it wasn't a woman it was a man and no knock . She said she understood, would send up a bellman and new keys. Later in the day I went to the front desk to speak to the manager and she came out and stated the first night stay was removed from my bill. I later found out the next day when speaking with the 3rd party contractor that there are no men on their staff. It was truly unnerving and not quite the welcome i was expecting during my visit. There was also a missing bottle of wine from the mini bar when I moved to the new room, so I let the 3rd party know and made her aware that i had taken a picture.I had noticed there was one in it's place in the original room. The hotel has become dated.

From the moment I entered the hotel, late on the first night of my stay due to a delay in travel, the staff took care of me like I was family. They consistently checked in to make sure I was OK. This hotel is far above par for those who want to enjoy NOLA. The area within a few blocks has fine dining, superb cocktail establishments, museums, music, parks, and is served by excellent transportation for those who need it. Restaurant Trenasse co-located with the property is easily 4 star and has some the best half shell oyster offerings on the Gulf Coast. We visit New Orleans several times a year and have stayed in many local hotels and VRBO's. This hotel makes it easy to enjoy the Big Easy.
