Stayed 3 nights

As a female solo traveler, I wouldn't stay here if you care about your safety. If you do feel safe enough to sleep, you'll hate your stay because this place is in such bad shape. First, aside from the keypad, there's no deadbolt or other way to lock the room door from the inside. At the very least, I would expect a slide lock. I had to drag the table in front of the door, so I'd wake up if someone got into my room and could hear them, which meant I couldn't wear earplugs and could hear every sound from 16th Street and hallway. Second, other guests gave out the door code because, on day 3, there were packages inside the building. Now, the actual state of the room. I tried to take a shower, but the water was either scalding or off. There was nowhere to hang your towel, and heaven forbid you tried to dry your hair because the hair dryer was literally going to catch fire. Since the front desk is virtual, there's no way to get extra blankets or fans or anything. It's just very clear that the owners/managers of this property don't care about their guests or the property itself and do the bare minimum to keep it maintained.

This place is a gem as long as you can carry your luggage up a bunch of stairs. It's a great remodel of an historic hotel built before elevators. Location is marvelous, close to Union station and its airport connections as well as all local transit. Great restaurants nearby, very walkable. The nearby river trails and parks are lovely and accessible for all ages. Our room was quiet, spacious and included a beautiful walking shower. We enjoyed relaxing on our private deck. You need good internet the day before arrival to get the key code entry info, because there is no front desk. But text and phone calls to staff were promptly returned and gave excellent help when needed. We will book.directly next time to speed up the entry info.

The shower floor is dangerously smooth and slippery tile. No grab bars for stability. The back wall of the shower stall is merely contact paper over a glass wall which allows light to pass through from another room. Creepy.

This was a nice clean, great location to stay if you want to walk from Union Station to your hotel and to the ball park! No staff in person but very communicative via this app and very friendly. The hotel is a 2-4 story walk up- no elevator but wasn’t an issue for us. Will definitely be looking here first next time I come to Denver.
