It would have been nice if there was a coffee bar or convenience store in the lobby for Guests. exercise room was disappointing.

Nice place to stay and location is great!! Although the description I saw said parking included, it was not. (Overnight $50 with no in and out / valet $75 unlimited in and out) In this city parking that is reasonable is paramount. ) Everything else was great.

Millennium Knickerbocker has a good gym, quiet rooms, friendly staff and is in a fantastic location for shopping, dining, strolling, and near the lakeshore

Disappointed with parking only. There was a charge for valet parking of 76 overnight. And then a fee of 23 per day was tacked on. In essence it’s a hundo to park overnight. Felt deceptive. Could have parked for 55 a block away. This felt deceptive.

We liked everything about the hotel itself and the service was excellent. It would be good to have a more full-service restaurant available in house (beyond the Martini Bar) and it would be greatly appreciated to have a better parking arrangement. The schlep to the shared garage that turns out to be blocks away and hard to access was not fun -- even in good weather!

This is a good property for a quick stay. Nice and rustic look. Easily walkable to the magnificent mile. The main problem is they have daily resort fee which is ridiculous. This is not vegas or hawaii to apply resort fee, and neither its a resort. Also parking is 50$ per day, which seems very expensive

There was no place to park. Parking cost $45. If you left you had to pay $45 again to park. Located close to the lake. Absolutely no view. Security was really good.

Great place! Felt safe! Used their valet parking very convenient. It’s an older building so it has lots of charm! Sometimes the elevators are slow or packed full of people and there are 3 of them. But that’s the only con. I brought my daughter. I liked that you had to have a key card to use the elevator! Rooms come with a fridge. We got a smaller room, since we were only there for one night and it was perfect thanks again!

This place nickel and dimes you. I paid close to $300 in added, hidden fees. They only have valet parking, which costs $79/day and the valets are so slow. It took them over 45 minutes to get my vehocle and 5am when i was the only person requesting a vehicle. The overnight front counter lady who looks like Lori Lightfoot is useless. Hotel is old, expensive and littered with hidden fees and useless employees.

The room was old of course and needed to be updated. The carpet looked dirty and very old. Needed to be ripped out and replaced. The towels were not very soft or plush. The sheets they used one of the night were stained. They forgot to refill the toilet paper and left it empty one night. They also didn’t refill the coffee one night. We were there for a total of 5 nights at at average of $280 a night. This hotel was not worth $280 a night. More like $150 for the issues I mentioned above.

Hotel has an old smelly smell to it. There’s no microwave on site.

The carpets were stained in the rooms, as well as in the hallways the decoration in the bedroom consisted of a bed with a TV on the wall, no decorative pictures or photographs on the wall

Stayed for a business trip. It was clean and comfortable!

The hallways smelled moldy and the room smelled moldy and like cigarette smoke.

Great location and very clean. Room was a little on warm side (thermo not working) opened window slightly and all was good.

This property was more run down than we were anticipating. Our room was not properly cleaned at all. There was someone else's left over contact lenses on the floor, someone's used rag in the shower, dried up spilled food on the side of the bed and dingy rooms that did not meet the pictures that were provided. I will not be staying here again and will be sharing my experience.

Hotel is rather outdated and dim. It’s like stepping back 20 years. Great location, good sized room, comfortable bed, but it needs an update. Carpet and wallpapers in the hallways show their age as well.

Spectacular location, beautiful historic property and wonderful staff but the rooms need some updating. A/C struggles to keep the room cool, lots of wear on furniture, small TVs and no usb ports anywhere. I love this hotel and will continue to stay here because it’s in just a great location and the service is top notch. Some updates would be nice.

4 star hotel? I don't agree Rooms are dated. Window sheers were torn. Individual toiletries were low quality. Towels were thin and rough. Flat sheet used as fitted sheets wouldn't stay on the king mattress. Room came with 4 standard pillows that were lumpy and flat (2 inches thick). It took 3 stacked up to make a "full size" pillow. Entry door to the room is very solid (very quiet) and heavy (hard to keep open when entering/exiting, especially with luggage). Elevators were quick and efficient. Ice machines are on the 4th, 7th and 10th floors. Doormen were great and they held are luggage on arrival and departure day so we could spend more time enjoying the city. A 3 min walk to the Delaware & Michigan bus stop was convenient for getting around the city. Our stay was 4 nights.

This was a great hotel right next to Hancock so easily walkable for the entire loop (we're walkers). Normally i would give 5 stars whenever a property doesn't leave anything out, but there are some updates that could be made. Our bed seemed lopsided, like the mattress was collapsed but it seemed newer. The inner shower curtain was "dangerously" short and was close to letting water pour onto the floor. I'd prefer sliding doors instead of shower curtains. The tv was fairly old and needed a signal booster for the remote, which had been knocked loose by housekeeping and had to be relocated. Everything was rectified by the amazing staff. We would stay here again based on the location and the ease of check-in and check-out.

Beds were hard and pillows were small. But I would visit again and bring my own pillows. Conveniently located close to many places.

Overall was nice; the room cozy and the bathroom was beautiful! The room was a little on the warm side our entire stay as there was not AC and I like to sleep cold (but that’s more or less a personal problem). TVs in the room also seem to be a little outdated and slow. Lots of shopping and activities within walking distance and the martini bar in the lobby was very nice as well.

Room was comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable. All equipment worked. Criticism is that there was no air-conditioning - in the summer the entire hotel is air-conditioned however outside of that time it is heated. The hotel did provide a wooden block to hold the window open and, upon request, a fan but the room was still very warm (at the start of our week it was over 60° outside so the hotel was roasting). That grump side, we enjoyed it stay.

Overall the location was great however they do charge a daily fee of $24 and some change which I was not aware of prior to booking. Also the carpet in the hallways look dirty and everything just look outdated, our TV in our bedroom randomly was turning on and off and the air conditioning also was horrible turning on every five minutes. They gave us two pillows for each bed normally at other hotels I’ve stayed at you get a few extra I had to call the service desk to have them bring us up some extra pillows!

They had an access fee which was supposedly posted on the Hotel.com website ….must had been in the fine print. My room was adjacent to the elevator. Very noise tall night long.

Hotel staff could not find my reservation, blamed expedia.

Staff was not very welcoming. For some reason I was given a handicap room directly next to the elevator for booking third party. I realized I didn't get the possible room upgrade or my free drink coupons for being VIP, I went downstairs to ask and got snipped for asking about the upgrade and they didn't want to give me the two drink coupons because it only showed one person on the reservation when obviously there were two of us. The next morning I needed change for a $20 to tip the valet. I went to the front desk and was told they were cashless but to ask at the hotel restaurant. I went there and the manager told me she didn't have time to get me change because she was too busy with her paperwork. Luckily the nice bellhop gave me change from his own wallet. For being an iconic hotel for chicago, the service subpar and unwelcoming.

I had a wonderful experience at the Millennium Knickerbocker. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The restaurant staff was attentive and the food was delicious. The housekeeping team was always friendly and kept my room spotless. The breakfast options were varied and satisfying. The hotel's location was convenient, with many dining options and a pharmacy within walking distance. I would give the Millennium Knickerbocker five stars without hesitation.

Staff was terrible. Gave me a hard time after i booked it. Took my deposit twice after he promised he didn't. Gave me a key that didn't work after waiting for 35 min with nobody else in the lobby. Came back down and ask for my license and took it to the backroom leaving me waiting for another 45 min. Then i said hello, and gave me a nasty look telling me to wait. Lart tike ever.

They still haven't responded to an email I have sent them regarding a miscellaneous 100$ charge. This is of course being a 4 star hotel which was a bit of a surprise considering the service. First of all, when behind a desk, my expectation is that everyone is dressed representing the hotel. You are informed, helpful and you have a system that you use to ensure that guests feel that they are receiving a level of service consistent with a 4 star hotel. The first room we were in had a sink that was not draining properly. Iris at the front desk did move us to another room after. However, after three emails before even our arrival I had indicated it was my birthday as well as our anniversary. The next night I inquired about heating up food - the instructions were confusing so I headed downstairs to clarify In any case, why ask if there isn't something in particular that you do especially if you are also part of a membership club? Later on, I had spoken to Manali - she gave us breakfast coupons and drinks that evening. However, I see there is a 100$ charged after we left so - what was that about? Also where is the number for customer service?

One of the worst stays we’ve ever had- we left a day early due to the conditions and smell of our room. We were charged fees for early check in without our confirmation if this was okay, and whenever we tried speaking with staff at the front desk met with attitude and indifference. 0 stars if possible.

Great place to stay by lots of shops and an easy walk to the trains. Highly recommend the valet parking as parking downtown can be crazy. Very clean.

I stayed at the Knickerbocker during a summer conference and found it to be a solid, historic hotel with a lot of charm and a few quirks. The location is excellent—just steps from the Magnificent Mile and close to Lake Michigan, which made it easy to enjoy both the conference and the city’s attractions. What I liked: The lobby and public spaces are beautiful, with that classic old-Chicago elegance. The room was clean and comfortable, with a good-sized bathroom and surprisingly quiet for being so close to downtown. The staff was polite and helpful throughout my stay. The price was very reasonable for the location—great value compared to many nearby hotels. A few things to note: It’s an older building, and some of that shows—things like slower elevators, vintage fixtures, and smaller closets. The resort fee is cheaper than most area hotels but won’t provide many additional services. The air conditioning worked fine, but it was a little loud at night. Overall, I’d recommend the Knickerbocker to anyone who values location, character, and affordability over luxury. It’s a great choice if you want a comfortable, classic hotel experience in a central area without paying high-end prices.

Amazing and clean hotel. Just one block away from the Magnificient Mile. We really enjoyed our stay here. The check-in and out process was super easy especially with available options to choose from via phone.

This is a great hotel! It is super secure and the entire hotel is just beautiful. It was very clean and the location was awesome! I would stay here again in a heart beat if I ever go back to Chicago.

Great location near Water Tower/ Mag Mile

Extremely clean, quiet, great transportation, comfortable room, walk-able shopping and dining

Great hotel, we chose this due to being in the millennium mile and parking being right across the street (private parking, nothing to do with hotel, we found it easy being right across the road). Everything is walkable. Really enjoyed our stay

My only gripe was the bar food quality & service, extremely slow and what came out didn’t match the descriptions half the time. Asked to see a manager by day 2 and they told me they were so short staffed they didn’t have one. Not acceptable, everything else was great!

Love the old school vibe of this hotel. Well kept, clean property. Comfy bed. Downfall for us is no coffee in room and no room service.
