I like the AC Hotel brand, having previously stayed at one in Portland, OR. I like the hard wood floors in the room. This hotel had complimentary coffee and tea in the mornings on the 4th floor. There's a nice pool which I didn't get to use. It's close to the Mag Mile and a Garrett Popcorn store! There are also lots of dining options nearby. I wish there was a closer metro station though.

Great location. It's nice there's a pool but wish there was a hot tub. Also no cameras in pool so at night there were people passing and drinking alcohol with glass bottles so we didn't use the pool. Also, bathroom door has no lock and is see they and no bathroom fan

Wow! What a disappointment! We stayed at an AC hotel in Marin County California in March and loved it. Expected the same level of amenities, decor, facilities. We were hugely disappointed. The so-called business centers in the middle of the lobby and has a non-functioning printer and no scanner. The room next to ours was under construction, and it was a constant source of noise. And there was construction right outside the front door, which could be clearly heard through our exterior window eight stories up. We had requested a mobility friendly room. That room was the literal last room, the furthest from the elevator on our floor. Clearly an old hotel in desperate need of a major overhaul. Some cosmetic improvements have been made. The bathroom was nice. But this is not up to the standards of the other AC hotel that we experienced earlier in the year. The location was great with fantastic dining in the neighborhood. But there are also plenty of other hotels in that neighborhood, which is where we will be next time we’re in Chicago.

2 star hotel in a 5 star location. The location is wonderful, and the staff were friendly. Facility itself is adequate, but several issues need remedied. Shower head wouldn’t change between modes. Door handle leading to bathroom broken. Toilets clogged repeatedly even with very minimal paper in them. Two bath towels left in the room, when reservation was for 3 kids and 2 adults. Molding falling off wall near couch. Floor surface around the pool incredibly slippery even when walking very slowly. Pool towels were constantly empty. Point in listing all these isn’t to beat the hotel up, rather to drive home the concept that it isn’t one thing or two that drives my rating down. Rather it is a thorough disregard to maintenance and upkeep that reflects very poorly on a usually-reliable hotel brand. We will look elsewhere when returning to the area, which is too bad because the location truly is great. This hotel could easily be so much better.

Dated hotel, poor cleanliness. There was unflushed urine in the first room I was in, and the second they moved me to had dirt on the sheets and smelled of mold. A very dated hotel with lots of patched repairs, but made unbearable by poor cleaning standards--especially for the price. Not worth it.

This hotel was clean, conveniently located, and reasonably priced by Chicago standards. Staff members were polite and responsive. We did not use the pool, and did not visit the breakfast room as it was $14/person 😕. The bathroom was immaculate, but for some reason it had a translucent swinging door that did not close or lock - very odd. Otherwise everything was fine.

First impression lobby - nothing special. Room looked ok. Only two large towels for three guests. AC rattling all night long. I felt tempted to tell the receptionist but didn't think I would get fixed. Glue-down plank flooring peeling off in some parts of the room. You can hear the traffic so well you would think the windows are open. Good location though.

Overall good property that is in a great location. Walking distance to the pier, great restaurants, the river and the theater district. Rooms have a little wear and tear on them but have all the amenities for a fair price for the location.

Had a reservation for 4, only 2 towels provided and when requested got an attitude from front desk and told it would take a couple minutes. They never showed up. The bed sheet has blood stain and unfortunately didn’t realize it until the morning. Let the attending manager know and they comped the parking but couldn’t do anything about the stay because it was a third party reservation. Pool also didn’t provide towels and when I requested them I was told they were being washed… Pool closed at 10pm and we left at 9:30 and the towels never showed up.

We had to switch rooms the first day bc the person next to us was screaming profanities for 20 minutes when we called down to the front desk to tell them about the situation and that we wanted to move rooms they told us they would call us back, 15 minutes went by and they never called back, my mom and I were honestly terrified of what was going on in the room next door at that point and finally just decided to leave the room and race to the front desk, at that point we did finally get a new room, however it was not a peaceful night as again people were screaming in the hallways at 4am! We also went to the bar that night to get a drink and my mom’s drink had two hairs in it!! Our room smelled of a nasty cleaning solution and all of the elevators smelled like weed, so disgusting! On the second day we called down to get more water for the room & they were never delivered. Really really disappointed with our experience will not be staying again.

First of all. The staff at the front desk was extremely nice. Shout out to Emily, who made my check in super smooth and even went out of her way to explain to be how to used public transportation and gave me restaurant recommendations. The room smelled incredible when we went in and it was una pristine condition. The pool area was pretty nice with a patio next to it. Perfect for a summer day. It was my first time in Chicago and i for you will be staying there, next time I go back.

Rooms appears to be very recently renovated, clean, very roomy. Staff are very nice. Caution if your room faces the street though, it is VERY noisy at night because of random cars racing down Michigan late at night (on weekend, we can hear very loud noises until 3am in the morning).

Great location, close to restaurants , shopping , coffee shops and supermarkets . Service was excellent , parking expensive as expected to be in downtown. Unfortunately noise from outside didn’t allow us to sleep well, you can hear almost every car that pass by or police with sirens on . If you are looking to have a good night sleep this is not the right place. We definitely enjoyed our time around but noisy in the room at night was very loud .

Staff was very helpful in getting us checked in early. Location is great for walkability to bars and restaurants. Problem is the proximity to the fire station and the paper thin windows. Even with hubby’s CPAP, AC fan on high, and white noise, I might as well have had the emergency vehicles in the room with me. Literally didn’t sleep from 1245a to 445a when I had to get up for an early morning flight. If you stay, ask for a room that doesn’t look out onto Ontario St.

Perfect location for our needs, we walked to all the main attractions without issue, 360 Tilt, Sears Tower, Pier, American Girl Doll Store, the Bean, the playground, federal reserve, etc. In fact throughout our 5 day trip we only did ride share once after a long day at the pier. Would stay again.

Loved it! We wanted to experience chi town for one night and we got it! The bars manager was amazing! Always had a smile on his face! Good conversations! He made our 9th anniversary one to remember! Great breakfest very affordable! The staff was very helpful too! Comfortable bed and clean rooms! Didnt sleep well but when you are from a small quiet town that will happen!

We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel, everything was fine, the staff very friendly helpful and nice - special shoutout to the breakfast crew - their sugar waffles were amazing hehe! They were very helpful as well, we didn’t get their names but management should really award them! The hotel is conveniently located very close to the magical mile, all within walkable distance. We enjoyed the gym and the pool - everything is very well maintained and most importantly for me - clean! Highly recommend

Was disappointed that that dry cleaning/ laundry service was available but when i called about they laundry i was told that only the dry cleaning us available. I also thought that $17 person for breakfast was a little on the high side after the price for the hotel room.

Our room was perfect, spacious and clean. Don’t be fooled when they say they have a restaurant on site. The bar/restaurant is a small extremely limited menu of about 5 items. The location of the hotel is thankfully located near Shake Shack, and other restaurants. We also found the Bally casino which was a plus!

The photo of the hotel is much better than the reality. The lobby is small and not air-conditioned. The gym was small and contained a few broken machines. The buffet breakfast was european style with only a few items of food. The rooms were functional so that they could be cleaned quickly. It served its purpose but many better choices can be found in the neighborhood.

Location and price were great. Compared to other AC Hotels I’ve stayed at this one is in need of some upgrading in the public areas. Room was great but lobby, hallways, elevators are really tired and old. $17 breakfast was so-so.
