$50 for a one hour early check in seemed a bit much. Strange having to take separate elevators from the ground floor to the lobby and then the lobby to the rooms. This resulted in some lengthy delays.

Great property with access right off Michigan Ave - which we preferred rather than being right on the main strip. Very helpful and friendly staff! Love the layout of the suite and bedroom, extra wet bar with sink was great to have since we have two kids and brought our two Maltese puppies. One of the nicest hotel gyms I’ve ever seen!

The room was really nice - I wish I'd known the couch pulled out because I would have changed room types to a kind size bed instead of two doubles. The staff was friendly. They did forget to clean our room one day, but brought towels quickly when asked. We didn't get the VIP access credit which would have been nice because we spent money in the bar. Overall I would highly recommend it. (One other note - if you see online it has a pool, the pool is closed for good, but it does have a Harry Potter store downstairs and offers discounts there).

Location of this hotel was perfect!! Only disappointing thing was I specifically wanted to choose a hotel with room service. This has room service listed as an amenity BUT when we got here we were told we have to pick the food up after ordering it. Not sure who needs to know, but that is not room service to me! So needless to say we were extremely disappointed when finding this out and feel that should not be listed as an amenity for this hotel.

The hotel was located in a wonderful part of the city with easy access to all the best sights. The staff were beyond friendly, helpful, and warm. The gym was great. The food in the restaurant tasty. Such a comfortable stay in the heart of the city.

No in room dining, no lunch dining at this property. It’s breakfast and dinner only. The lounge isn’t even open to sit down in the afternoon and have a cold beverage. Only opens at 5. No swimming pool available for use.

The only thing I did not like is that the bar closes at 10:00 PM. That makes no sense to me. The bar is an amenity and even if it is less profitable for an hour or two, it should be open for your guests until midnight on weekends at least.

At this price point, I was genuinely excited to stay here — but the experience was a complete disappointment. Every single towel had a strange smell, and I don’t think it was detergent. It was more like the musty odor of something moldy. The bathtub was clogged, so water kept backing up during showers, which felt awful. The entire room felt like it hadn’t seen sunlight in a long time. I rarely leave reviews, but the condition of the facilities here was truly disappointing. That said, I do want to highlight that every staff member I interacted with was exceptionally kind and friendly. Unfortunately, good service alone cannot make up for the poor state of the accommodations.

I love this hotel. However, the mold and icy residue at the base of the toilet in my bathroom made me sick. I encourage the hotel to conduct a deep cleaning of their bathrooms, especially the often overlooked areas.

Very clean hotel in a fantastic location right off Michigan Ave! Staff was very kind, traveled with 2 kids and they were even given goodie bags upon check in which I appreciate so much. The suite with double beds was perfect size for the 4 of us. The view included city and a glimpse of the lake!

Loud elevator can hear from room, very noisy Nextdoor guests slamming door all night. Room old outdated. Shower curtain dingy, pillows/cases old, dusty vents, dusty lamps, stained couch. Location great.

The property needs some care in the little things. The shower never had hot water, warm at best. Almost no water pressure. Safe didn’t work, iron board was broken. The little things could of made this better The staff on the other hand were excellent. It’s also very noisy at night hospital around the block. ALL NIGHT LONG!! It’s get annoying

Staff was very nice and accommodating. I was disappointed to see the room in the state it was in - had nothing to do with cleanliness but with upkeep. One of the lampshades was busted in several places, tons of cracked tiles in the bathroom floor, stains on the couch. I had never stayed at an Omni property before and was expecting so much more in terms of quality.

Stayed here as I was in town for a conference. Decent place but some of it seemed a little dated (couches in the rooms for example and furniture in lobby). Bathroom was also a bit dark with limited lighting (dark wallpaper didn't help either). Overall very clean and bed was comfortable. Rooms are a decent size. Did however feel the breakfast was a bit expensive.

Great location and having a suite is great for families but thats about it. Everything is dated and the elevator noise can be heard in the rooms. Wifi also very spotty. Not great if you need to do work.

Very friendly staff and nice room. My only complaint is that the pullout sofa bed was very uncomfortable. We rearranged and had 1 person sleep on just the sofa but the pullout shouldn’t count as extra sleeping space and it needs to be changed out

I loved that the hotel was right on the Mag Mile. It was also next to the new Harry Potter Store! It is close to the Chicago Red Line and the Riverwalk! The suite we had was very humid and the sheets were kinda damp but it wasnt too bad. Plus, there were a few rusty parts to the room and the trim/wall paint was chipping. I noticed the curtains were kinda of ragged also. The sofa and chairs were oldschool and itchy but we didnt spend much time in the hotels other than sleeping so I didnt mind too much. Easy to find and valet was great!

We were four, 2 sleeping in a hide-a-bed. We asked for extra blankets and pillows. I asked 3 times the first evening, once in person, twice by phone, and even though I was assured every time that "it\'s coming up right away", none ever came. I asked again the second day, but only got the blankets. I gave up. The staff at the main desk was polite, but unfriendly. I would not stay in that hotel again.

The room was not cleaned on the fourth day of our stay. When we found that out as we returned to the room at 6 pm and claimed it to the receptionist, he said if we hang the do not disturb sign and we said no, and he said all the staff is gone by 4:30pm and they can’t do anything. That is not our problem nor our concern whether they let the staff go by 4:30 without doing their job, but he made it look as if it were our fault. It was very unpleasant.

For the price, the rooms were not in great shape, and the service was more than frustrating trying to get the most simple of requests...like an ironing board and then an iron that worked (which after repeated calls never arrived even after days of waiting).

A disappointing and deceptive experience. I feel completely scammed by the Omni Hotel Chicago. I reserved a specific room—a King Corner Suite—because it offered the space and accommodations I needed for medical reasons. When I arrived late at night, exhausted and traveling with my daughter, they had given away my reserved room and placed us in a smaller, less expensive one that didn’t meet our needs. They offered to waive a small service fee (about $60 on a $1200 reservation) as compensation—which felt like a token gesture—and even promised a bottle of wine, only to backtrack and tell me I could go to the restaurant and order one myself. Seriously? Worst of all, they are still charging me the higher rate for the first night even though they downgraded my room. They’re blaming Expedia, claiming they are not required to honor my reservation since it was through a third party app and refusing to take responsibility for their own hotel giving away my room. This is not the level of service you expect from a luxury hotel. I booked in good faith and was met with excuses, broken promises, and no real effort to make things right. I won’t be staying with Omni again and I recommend others think twice before doing so.

We stayed here for a bachelorette trip and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and celebrated. Every day there was a fun surprise waiting in the lobby, whether it was ice cream, champagne, or another thoughtful treat which made our stay feel extra special. The property itself was clean, stylish, and perfect for our group. On top of that, the price was very reasonable for the quality and service we received. Truly an amazing stay and we’d come back in a heartbeat!

The rooms were spacious and clean and the location was great. The service was some of the worst service I have ever experienced. Check in was slow and significantly past the 4:00 check in time. When calling down to the front desk for help, the phone would often ring for long periods of time with no answer and when they did answer it would take so long for help to arrive. I requested a crib and it took 3 calls to the front desk and over an hour for it to be delivered to my room. There is no in room dining, only take away from the restaurant but when I called the restaurant, during business hours, no one ever answered.

I absolutely love this hotel. It’s my go-to downtown Chicago hotel. Great area. Close to everything. The staff is super too. The bellman with the cool mustache is so friendly and helpful and the gentleman who checked us in, Daniel, was fantastic. He was so kind, professional, funny and answered all of our questions. I would recommend this place to anyone!!

Breakfast and service at 676 Restaurant was great. Our beds were very comfortable. Internet service was always great. Taxis/rideshare services were easily available and accommodating., Mr. Mark always greeted guests as if welcoming them home. Very warm and hospitable
