Sonesta ES Suites Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile Medical

We reserved a 2 bedroom suite and for the costs $500+ a night. The breakfast was eggs, potatoes and then a different low quality meat each morning. We had issues with the juice machine not working and the two toasters that were there had a total of 8 slots of which 4 were not working. We were there several nights and had similar issues each day with breakfast each day. For a 6 person suite we were left with 4 towels for bathing. Some of the soap in our suite were opened and partially used. The hotel does not offer daily room service. The bathroom also needed caulking and deep clean for mildew/mold. There were areas of the ceiling that also needed patching and painting. The carpet seem from the kitchen to living room also was in need of repair in several places. The hotel location is great, but other than that, I’ve stayed at better maintained properties, with better amenities and breakfast for 80% less. Valet guy was super great!

Clean room with all basic amenities and good staff. Coffee is available 24/7. Close to the CTA bus which can take to to the good spots within 10-20mins. Breakfast was standard as all other Sonesta hotels have everyday. Can improve in variety. Also the staff provided the wrong time for the Friday breakfast resulting us to miss it on our first day.
