This hotel had positives and negatives. Our room was adequate for our sleeping and showering needs but in need of some upgrades; soaps, shampoos were quite nice; complimentary water bottles and water in hallways was a blessing with the hot weather; the elevators however were a time eater to say the least; staff were cordial and helpful but the on-your-own electronic check in process and area need some serious attention.

The room was small and clean with a view of the river (but too close to the elevator). With only 2 elevators and 1 not working, getting in and out too way too long. The coffee/tea machine also did not work and the air conditioning in the gym did not work properly. Luckily the property is located in a great location which is walkable to many places and restaurants.

The location was perfect (10/10), but unfortunately one of the elevators was out of service during our stay. Getting to our room was a hassle, it took about 30 minutes each time we wanted to go up or down.

Only one elevator was working and you should probably call and check to see if all the elevators are working before booking. Finding out when you arrive if there's a 30 minute wait to take the elevator up to your room is kind of terrible. We can walk up 14 flights of stairs with your luggage good luck.

20 story hotel downtown with just two elevators and one was out of service for our entire stay, leading to long delays and people spilling into the lobby and front desk. Rooms were small but outstanding. Better not to drive there, as hotel parking is five blocks away Couldn’t ask for a better location.

I found hair in the sink and was then upgraded to a different room. The second room had stains and dirt though out, pubic hair in the shower stains on the headboard, hair and stains on the chairs, the phone was completely broken and the tv didn’t work.

Towels were soiled. Chips crumbs under bed (we had to clean it upon arrival). TV didn’t work. Lamps in room didn’t work. Elevators took a million years but that’s understandable. Parking was non-existent. We had to park in a parking garage but that’s fine I guess.

I frequently stay at this property and this past stay confirmed that the property should not be accepting guests. There is one working elevator for the entire property, the room was dirty and completely disheveled. This happened on my last stay and I accepted it, this last stay confirmed there is no plan to improve.

Positive is that it’s in a great location. The negative was the state of the room. Very dated, AC didn’t cool off room properly, and refrigerator made a god awful noise every time the compressor came on causing me to have to unplug it.

Very close to everything. Perfect room for the money spent. River view was unexpected and really nice to have. Check in and out was a breeze. Not updated but again for the price can’t beat it. The only complaint would be the elevator issues- 1 elevator and had issues with it going past floor 10 and it sled forever to move. Other than that I’d come back

Great location, but room was small and had a number of inconveniences. We had about 12” walkway around the bed and there was nowhere to open our suitcase other than to put it on the bed anytime we needed something out of it. The bathroom was also small with the toilet literally in the doorway to the bathroom. The toilet paper roll was mounted behind the toilet so you couldn’t reach it when on the toilet. Also, the sink was clogged and wouldn’t drain.

Hotel was a good value for the location we were looking for. The room we intially booked which was the most inexpensive was not very spacious. The staff was very friendly, and I'd like to give a special thanks to Jason at the front desk. He was able to quickly and courteously move us to another room after we complained about a guest who was smoking some "greenery" and caused the entire floor as well as our room to smell.

Robbie was amazing at the front seat when we checked in!! When we checked out the Latino (I am Latina so no one freak out) man was NOT - he had such an attitude. But overall the hotel is good for the price & location. Only one elevator which was very inconvenient but the staff tried to compensate.

The front desk staff was confrontational and rude when I mentioned that I had requested a room away from the elevators during booking. From the moment I stepped into the hotel I was greeted with friendly and extremely helpful staff! Check in was seemless and Jock gave me great information on where to eat and to see live music. My room was upgraded cause it was right by the elevator. And to my surprise I had the most amazing view of the Chicago river!! They responded quickly whenever I needed anything. I’d stay here again for sure. I’d highly recommend the Club Quartes Wackers Chicago!! Great job 😊💕

Bus and El train lines nearby connected me to the Field museum, Union Amtrak train station, Second City theater, the Art institute and Museum of Science and Industry. And the nighttime city lights were beautiful. Fantastic location.

Club Quarters is our Chicago home! Friendly staff, like Tony and Ramona, great location, clean and comfortable rooms, and amazing view of the river. What else can you ask for? We'll be back in September, can't wait.

I’ve stayed here a twice in vastly different rooms (size-wise). A very compact room with a small but tall vertical window with a view down the river would be my choice over the larger room with an alleyway view. This is a traveler’s hotel, simple with basic amenities, great location, clean, and lots of foreign and domestic travelers coming and going. The gym is satisfactory and compact. The lobby is purely a transitory space with a small basic coffee lobby on the second floor. It’s a comfortable place to rest your head, but not where you lounge around in the lobby or really your room for that matter. I would definitely stay here again as my visits to Chicago take me into the city and I don’t spend much time in the hotels.

Staff was fantastic! Super friendly and helpful. Our rooms were nice and clean, beds and linens comfortable. The building itself was interesting, an architecturally significant tower. Only downside was the quality of the furniture, a little dated. But super good coffee on the 2nd floor

Front desk staff was incredible! Hotel has small rooms but they are clean. Do not expect much as this is a very old hotel. Elevator was broken but staff did the absolute best to accommodate. It’s unfortunate the area has gotten so overwhelmed with street activity and homelessness. I felt safer in the Riverwalk area in past visits but that is not the case any longer. No restaurant in hotel it is vacant. My last visit they had a nice Italian restaurant. I still think it’s a good spot but I won’t be visiting Chicago again until it’s safer and cleaner. Lots of trash and boarded up places that used to be shops. Amtrak cancelled our train home to Michigan. But we were able to take the South Shore train to MI City where my husband picked us all up and drove 2 hours further to get home. The front desk again helped assure us they were there to help. Overall,I would pass on Chicago until they get things sorted out.

The location is great. The view from the river view room is just gorgeous. However, the hotel is outdated. When we were staying there, the coffe machine in the lobby was broken. There is no restaurant in hotell.

Beautiful lobby, check in was a breeze. You can tell rooms are getting alittle outdated. I wish attendant would have explained elevator (some rooms only accessible by way of left vs. right elevator). Also, they tried to charge me for an in room beauty product as if I took it with me upon checkout and I did not. Weird, they tried to do the same for a guest checking out when I was checking in. I took pictures as I was leaving to show products still there. Tried to get tea on 2nd floor 24 hour offering they were out. Location was perfect to walk to all the attractions! Valet was timely and responsive.

The room as fine but the property has no restaurant and no food to buy except junk food in a machine. I asked workers and they sent me to a Walkgreens where there is more junk food. I found a hamburger place and a 7 11 with hot dogs. Otherwise there are white tablecloth restaurants which I was not looking for. I just wanted some decent dinner food. Also, the hotel took my credit card for incidental and food expenses which is silly since there was no incidentals or food to buy? The entrance is dreary and uncomfortable especially if you want to meet a business person.
