Best Western Plus Lake City

Nice and clean property. Not so lovely was the cold indoor pool.

The water in the inside swimming pool not heated and very cold. One day did not get service even garbage was not removed.

Overnight stay. Bed was very firm. Pool was very cold. Shower could have been cleaner and really the whole place needs some updates. Breakfast looked ok but we opted to eat somewhere else.

Good clean hotel. Room was very quiet for being so close to interstate. Breakfast was of high quality for what most would consider a standard hotel continental breakfast. The suite we had was a good size and had a door separating off rooms. Indoor pool was pretty cold so the kids didn’t stay in very long but overall a good stay

Would definitely stay again. Good room. Great breakfast and staff. Lots of parking. Next to highway so a bit noisy. Only negative was a pedestal sink. No counter space.

The indoor pool wasn’t heated-too cold to swim in. Staff very friendly and Xmas decor was lovely. Good range of breakfast options including waffle maker.

Nice place to stay just missing hot tub next to pool

The indoor pool is no longer heated. (It was when we came before and was the selling point for why we came back here). So in June the pool was freezing and we couldn’t get in unfortunately. Possibly because the walls are thin/mostly windows and the air conditioning in there is blasting. Bummer.

Stopped on a layover from Fl. Keys to Dawson Springs, Ky. Very nice and clean hotel. Excellent service and very friendly staff. Early breakfast and on the road by 6:15am. Very pleased with our stay. Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. Parking is well lit and off the Hwy. Have recommended several times already and will use again in the future when needed. Thank you : )

Pool was a little cold for indoors

The room had a moldy odor probably from a/c unit. They said the indoor pool was unheated but the truth of the matter is that they had a heater but it non-operational. You’ve got to wonder just how long it’s been that way.

Just stayed for one night. The lamp on the desk was broken. There were stains on the comforter. LOTS of mildew in the corner of the shower. And there was a weird spot on the tv: it looked like the picture was going out. On the plus side, the bed was pretty comfortable and there was a good selection of food for breakfast.

A mixed bag. The bad: Our well appointed room had countless (at least hundreds) of very tiny rust colored pebbles throughout the entire room’s floor. When we spoke with staff, a very friendly staff member immediately came up and vacuumed the floors. Later we discovered hair all over the bathroom floor and a moldy (black) shower head, which we cleaned ourselves. There was also some minor mold and rust on one part of the bathroom ceiling. We found a plastic bag left on the floor in the “living room” area of the suite. Breakfasts were generally nice, for quick hot prep that’s popular in many hotel chains. Unfortunately, for our first (of two) the hotel had a large bus load of guests that went through the breakfast like a swarm of locusts. It was not properly restocked. The hotel should know that it would be a very busy weekend and plan accordingly. The next morning breakfast was well stocked and had a nice variety. The location was excellent, lots of food and shopping nearby and staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We did have a housekeeper back into us in the smallish elevator pulling her supply cart. She was distracted by a conversation she was having through her Bluetooth headphones. After bumping into us she did apologize. The hotel was quiet and comfortable, including the bed; however the bed was very high (and the toilet was very low.). There was plenty of hot water, but the shower faucet handle was very wobbly and probably soon to fail.

The hotel room was fine, but the whole place including the room had a horrible musty smell- yuck. I do not want to smell stale cigarette smoke from twenty years ago.

This was the cleanest and best smelling hotel I have ever stayed at. The check in staff was friendly and efficient. The room was nice and the bed comfy. The Breakfast was delicious with a ton of choices and options. Highly recommend this hotel!

The cleanest best kept hotel in this town. I’ve stayed at all the name brand ones here. This is the cleanest , friendliest staff and best free breakfast in town. I won’t be fooled again with the Marriot , Hilton or others here. Best western plus is top notch !!

I woke up in middle of night with bed bug bites on my face and neck, went to front desk with pillow i was sleeping on, front desk counted 4 bed bugs on pillow itself, he offered me alcohol wipes and on request he gave me new room and gave me a spray to sanitize my luggage and cloths that I was wearing. On knowing that it was my wife's b'day and we were going to board cruise next afternoon, he apologized and filed a report and told i'll get a call from management in next few days, but never got any call.

Good stop over location for our trip south. I was disappointed at the condition of the room. The furniture is tired, but worse was the smell of mold/mildew in the room. I noticed that the air conditioning was off when we entered,(to cut down expenses?). which did not help the matter. The bathroom had no hot water at the sink, but the shower was ok. At this price point I expect a lot better.

It smelled damp and felt damp in the room

I had to cancel my stay and check out early due to the presence of multiple roaches in my room.

The only reason I am not giving a 1 star review is because of great customer service in the beginning of our stay by TJ. We had significant issues with the air conditioner breaking. It actually started blowing hot air, getting up to 80.7 degrees. TJ helped reset the AC unit and said they would move us if it did not start working. It started working again, so we stayed. Unfortunately, it broke two more times (one time at about 5 AM, as we woke up very hot at 5:30 AM. It was reset again. We left the room for the morning, just to return to our thermometer reading 92. We had a very unpleasant stay with no new offer to move rooms or even a partial refund. Breakfast was very limited (only two kinds of Cheerios and one kind of Chex) and the eggs tasted old with chewy chunks in the scrambled eggs. We will return to our preferred brands (Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express). There was nothing “Plus” about this BW.

Room was clean, spacious, updated, and quiet. Staff was great.

Window did not look like it had been cleaned in years. The air conditioner quick working and it took two front desk associates to move us to a new room. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work.

we liked the room layout of bed room separation from sitting area which allowed me to watch T V without waking up my wife

The highway noise was so loud. I asked for rooms away from highway but they were unable to accommodate. After several hours of trying to sleep using sound machine, ear plugs, and room ac, I called front desk to asked to be switched to any room on other side of hall so I could sleep as I had a long drive the next day. The front desk stated that they were unable to switch me as they would have to put my room out of service and no one could come in at this time to clean it. The moral of the story is they had other rooms but we're unwilling to accommodate. I even agreed to go from a king to a double but was denied. ☹️

Got our room booked online the morning of, check in was a breeze and I had a room key in 5 min. Room was large, spacious and open. Bathroom smelled clean, and it was. Only complaint would be road noise from the interstate, but I travel with a Lectrofan white noise machine and that makes the noise a non-issue for my family. Breakfast was great and hot and the staff for main desk and dining room were all excellent.

Very nice - if your room is facing the highway , it can be a little loud unless you are a heavy sleeper - you may want to request room facing away from the highway.

Great stay. Very comfy bed. My only complaint is the very loud road noise from 1-75 all night so if u are a light sleeper like me, it may be an issue. Our room window was facing it so perhaps that made it worse.

This was one of our friendliest stays from our greeting coming in the door, to our good-bye at the morning desk. The lady at the breakfast Buffet was delightful, even when spilling milk on her floor. We left a cooler in our bathroom and realized it after five miles north on the T.P. We called and they assured us that they would retrieve it and hold it in the office. We visited our son at a nearby campground, returned in three hours and our cooler was where promised, with a “not a problem” attached. True do unto others approach to living!! Thank her for us!

Everyone was so kind. I had a 2 night stay didn't have electricity to go home. I have breathing problems they got me the third night unfortunately it was all booked for the forth night. But they tried.

We tried to cancel our booking with a refund due to our event being canceled because of a death in their organization. We were denied multiple times and the front desk Manager BJ was extremely obstinate and rude during the entire process. I did not cancel the rooms because we weren't being refunded. I was taken to the hospital Friday after I fainted in a work meeting (diagnosed with an inner ear infection) and could not drive to stay in the room. Though I did not stay on the property, they still took my money so I am entitled to my review of the staff and what I did experience. I can guarantee I will never recommend this hotel to anyone because of the staff.

The front desk staff at check in were outstanding! 2 young ladies with great customer service/interaction! It started our short stay perfectly and that’s how it continued! The facility looked and smelled so clean! And every staff member we encountered were great! Great breakfast options and staff as well! Would def recommend!

Kelly at reception was slow and did not appear to be attentive to her duties. In addition, she does not care much for VIP guests. Next time I will stay at the Holiday Inn or other hotels in the area. The ladies helping for breakfast are awesome.

We knew we would be arriving late…very late. So, at about 6:30pm we called the hotel directly and said that we will be arriving “sometime after 1am, but we will be there.” They said ok got it…and “safe travels.” We got there at 1:58am local time, got to the front desk, and were told that the room was given away. Clerk pulled the paper and even saw the notation. Person on duty helped find another place…closest being another 42 miles away. Needless to say…not happy.

We stayed here on a business trip for 5 nights. We could not seem to get clean towels in any of our rooms. The bedding was to be changed after the third night and was not done nor were the towels changed that night either. Spoke with the folks at the front desk they took down our room numbers and assured me our rooms would be done that day while we were out. Got back at midnight and found the rooms untouched again. Once again i spoke with the people at the front desk who gave us towels but struggle to understand how this happens. Our stay was over $ 5000.00 for all the rooms we had. I left my business card for the Manager and asked if they could give me a call as we checked out. Four days later i called her.. We spoke and she seemed to be unaware of any of our issues but would look into it and get back to me. Still waiting for that call. On a positive we left a bag in the room which they found, They called and did send it to me at my expense 3 weeks later. All of my issues should have been an easy fix yet they just seemed to drop the ball and don't seem to care they did..

Amazing hotel. The night front desk person was so pleasant and went out of his way to ensure we had a great stay!

The noise was an issue. The location so close to a highway with insufficient insulation from sound was a problem.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean, comfortable and maintained. Good breakfast. There are several restaurants in the area and gas stations across the street. The hotel is right off the the freeway. Lots of stores nearby.

Right off highway, great for traveling thru.

Front desk person was nice. Lobby clean. The room was very clean. Only issue the shower was not too hot. Overall I was happy with the property. I like the fact that the property was right off the highway.

Overall great, but I’d ask to be on the side of the building away from the main highway.

Good location.

Very nice hotel with a reasonable price and very nice staff. Close to a lot of restaurants. My only criticism is that at night it can be a bit loud being close to the highway.

We were just there for a quick overnight stay while traveling through the area. Very nice rooms, convenient to interstate. Breakfast included, large dining area.

Property was clean. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Very pleased with the breakfast variety and quality. Will definitely stay again.

Excellent breakfast

Room not ready at check in at 4:30 pm. No towels in room when I got in. Breakfast was horrible.,. No eggs or sausage replenished, no utensils without getting them yourself, same with coffee cup lids.

All was good until breakfast. Gravy tasted different than any I have ever had and not in a good way. Tables too close to accomidate handicaped.

We checked in after midnight and was greeted by a friendly staff member. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast choices were good but the coffee wasn’t very good. All in all a great stay.

Excellent hotel to stay at just off the interstate. Traveling through and check in after midnight without any issue. We felt safe at the location. Room was cool, bed and pillows were comfortable, and room was clean. Hot breakfast items have a lot to be desired, waffle iron was not working, but cold items were ok. Coffee was great!

Overall great stay. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was good and kept fully stocked.

From the staff at the front desk to the breakfast attendant in the breakfast area, everything was 10 out of 10!
