This motel is awesome and is highly recommended. However, there were a few things that result in 4 stars instead of 5. We had a king suite, which came with a full kitchen. There were no paper towels and other basics that we ended up having to purchase and then leave behind because we flew in from North Carolina. Parking is inadequate on property. Half the spaces are marked as compact but huge work vans, Dodge Rams, etc were parked there making it impossible to park in the next space. If you aren’t parked on property by 6 or 7 pm you will have to park on the street. We had to park on the street two of the four nights we were there. Other than that, it’s very convenient to just about everything and I would definitely stay there again.

Cutest retro vibe, friendly staff, comfy bed and room, super clean, fantastic food options especially the Latin cuisine. Empanadas and flan are a must have! Stairs only (no elevator) to second floor. Ground level desirable for accessibility needs, so book early because Imperial is popular. Looking forward to staying here again on our next road trip!

The motel is about 10 min. walk to the main downtown (around Broadway) and 20 min. walk to the campus. Impeccably clean room, with high-quality construction of the room. I don't understand others' complaints about road noise; my room was one of the closer ones to the main road and I heard no noise at all. It's recently renovated in a transitioning neighborhood. I was very glad to stay here and give a boost to a locally owned business that has done a really great job. The only disappointment was that the pool was closed the two days I was there. I was looking forward to a swim in the evenings. I don't know why it was closed, because it looked perfectly inviting as in the photos.

Impeccably remodeled and very clean! Parking lot is lit and has a security patrol. Espresso shop at check-in office with friendly staff. Very comfortable beds. Incredibly cute spot on historic Rte 66.

Wonderful boutique hotel! Remodeled and modern with a flashback to the 50’s twist. Comfortable foam mattress, nice bathroom, well use of space, large flat screen TV with DirectTV. Great location, free WiFi and parking, with restaurants, gym, and laundry on property. We’ll be back!!!

I had a great stay at the Imperial! It has been recently renovated with a focus on everything cool about Route 66. The rooms are EXTREMELY clean and comfortable. They have everything to make guests feel at home. Free laundry, the lobby doubles as a trendy coffee shop (and it’s open late), and local fast-casual restaurants on premises. The staff walks around the premises to make sure everything is in good order. Places on Central can be hit or miss, but this one is definitely a hit!

This is an adorable, wonderfully retro-themed motel. You can tell it was renovated with thought and whimsy. Very, very comfortable and sparkling clean. You can tell that the cleaning staff truly cares about the property and their guests. Wonderful place to stay in Albuquerque. Close to university and hospital. Highly recommend.

I was so disappointed to have traveled for hours ready to shower to arrive to a hotel that had dirty towels with blood on them. Also the beds are extremely soft so I ended up with back pain. Also pool was not working and my kids came with me just to enjoy the pool. I mean it is cute but my experience was disappointing after a 8hr drive.

The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful and very accommodating. Housekeeping offered to help take our bags to our car. You just don’t get friendly service like that anymore. The room was spotless. It was so cute and adorable and so retro, we just absolutely loved it. The coffee is great too.!

The place is beautiful, stylish and clean but my main issue was the bathroom did not have a counter to put my things (toiletries, brush, hair dryer, makeup, etc), there was barely enough sink room for a tooth brush but everything else had to sit on the floor and the bedroom also didn't have any dresser to set things either, just a couple of super tiny side tables. A bathroom counter would make all the difference.

A nice looking, neat, clean room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. One concern was the heat/AC system ...It was constantly on and off and quite loud ...to the point it was disturbing to sleeping ... and in general disturbing... off for 30 seconds and then loud for 90 seconds ALL NIGHT ...couldn't adjust to keep fan on ...decor adorable ...with some outside noises.

The property has been BEAUTIFULLY updated, with lovely and unexpected touches in the rooms: bottles of water, modern decor, an adorable vintage-looking fridge, and even a clothing steamer in the closet space! My room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable. My ONLY critique is that there were no power outlets or charging ports on either side of the bed (which seemed strange, given how much thought obviously went into all other aspects of the space)! Other than that, it was fantastic, and an excellent value for the price!

On a pre paid two day booking, the accidentally decided I had checked out after the first night and threw out all my stuff. The did their best to pick it out of the dumpster after I complained victoriously but the original mistake is pretty terrible.

We were on are way back home and decided to stay over one night in Albuquerque New Mexico.The Imperial had excellent reviews we booked a king room there because of the reviews, location and retro vibe. It's a vintage mid century motel that has been completely renovated.The room was well maintained and clean. I liked the reading lamps on the sides of the bed.They made it possible for one person to sleep white other could read in the bed without disturbing each other, nice touch.The king bed didn't have electrical outlets on both sides of the bed , our medical devices couldn't be plugged in.The room reminded me of a lower budget HGTV renovation The wall HVAC was under the front window, it was set at 71 degrees and ran on and off all night long.It was extremely noisy, blew hot and cold air on the bed was rather unpleasant.. We arrived around 8:30 in the evening after 10 hours of driving. Another group of guests arrived after us and were placed in the room next to ours.They left their car's motor running for hours.I complained to the front desk about the running vehicle. They wouldn't do anything about it I felt unsafe staying there.Security was lacking, management wasn't available to handle the situation.The front desk person wasn't helpful or kind.My experience at the Imperial wasn't enjoyable or positive.I have no desire to return.

The folks at the front desk were awesome. A problem with the tv was quickly solved by the maintenance gentleman who was professional and knowledgeable. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff was very helpful. For some reason they had not received my reservation from Hotels.com. It was confirmed to me in the morning but when I arrived 8 hours later they had no record. The staff was very helpful and got me a room and said they would correct the error with Hotels.com. What could have been a disaster they worked to make this a positive experience. This is my third stay here in the last 5 months and I think that says it all about staying here.

The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful and very accommodating. Housekeeping offered to help take our bags to our car. You just don’t get friendly service like that anymore. The room was spotless. It was so cute and adorable and so retro, we just absolutely loved it. The coffee is great too.!

Not a bad location but sketchy after dark. No elevator so if you are on the second floor be prepared to carry your stuff up two flights of stairs. Friendly staff. Bed was comfortable.

The motel is a very cool concept. Parking is a huge issue. Hard to find a spot to park. The location is a bit to be desired as it’s in an area that is not the best. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated.

This was a nicely renovated property, upscale but a throwback to the classic Route 66 feel. It was nearby downtown ABQ enough that I could walk there so it was a perfect stop along the main drag.

Cute remodel for this motel! Very comfortable beds and clean aesthetic. The area is great during the day, but once the sun goes down, be more aware of your walking path back to the hotel. I didn't personally have any issues walking around town but heard of some folks seeing some of the less attractive sides of ABQ during their walks home from dinner.

What a gem in Albuquerque! A fantastic renovation of a mid century Route 66 motel - super clean and comfortable with free parking and the amenities of a much pricier hotel. Also across the street is an outstanding brunch at the Grove cafe and market. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back! Thanks to the kind and accommodating front desk staff!

The Imperial Motel is a refurbished mid century modern gem! Every detail is so fresh, modern, and delightfully retro. There’s a great place to eat, where we bought a yummy all-American cheeseburger and the most delicious fries. There’s also a coffee shop that opens at 7 am, where the barista made a perfect iced brown sugar oat milk espresso and provided lovely customer service. There’s also a color studio on the property, but it’s by appointment only - so, reach out in advance of your trip. Highly recommend this adorable motel! It was clean, the beds and pillows were incredibly comfy, and we can’t wait to stay there again on our next visit.

Cutest retro vibe, friendly staff, comfy bed and room, super clean, fantastic food options especially the Latin cuisine. Empanadas and flan are a must have! Stairs only (no elevator) to second floor. Ground level desirable for accessibility needs, so book early because Imperial is popular. Looking forward to staying here again on our next road trip!
