Our stay was on NYE evening. It felt very safe because it’s on campus of a university. It was clean and the staff was friendly. A little outdated but we didn’t care about that much at all. The one thing that threw us off was they charge you $45 to park in their garage which is about a block distance away from the hotel.

We love that the conference center is removed from the city streets, is quiet, and close to our daughter's residence and easy to get to from the North. The outside patio bar was a nice addition. We have stayed here many times. The only issues were that the bath/showers are extremely slippery and no bath mat is provided, and the parking fee seems very high considering the location which is a couple of blocks from the actual hotel. I have a bad knee so the location of the parking lot was literally a pain. All staff was courteous and helpful.

Nice place to stay pretty basic though. Breakfast wasn’t that great, eggs were wet, sausage was hard no pancakes or waffles. You have to walk a ways to the parking garage where the hotel charges you 50$ per day. I wasn’t told about parking upon my booking or when I got there I was just surprised with a 150$ in fees for parking. They did help me refund it though because it wasn’t discussed initially. Just be aware parking is expensive.

The University grounds are very pleasant. The staff are very helpful. There is a free bus shuttle to Union Station. Union Market is across the street - get a gate key for easy access.

The property is beautiful. It’s too bad they don’t take care of the rooms on a daily basis or at least every other day. My room did not get cleaned the four days that I was there. I had to go to the desk every day to ask for coffee packets. The description of the amenities said there was a laundry on the premises. There is NO LAUNDRY. Very disappointed. The only thing that helped me was the shuttle. That was descent.

Pictures definitely helped this property in the choosing process. Hotel IRL was a disappointment. It was very outdated. Shower was dirty and water pressure weak. Even thought about leaving mid stay on the first night. Bed linen and pillows stained and dingy. TVs outdated with very little channels to choose from. For the price that was paid, the hotel and the stay did not seem to match the value. Hotel safe was nice and welcoming but would not return to this property.

Our first room had no functional A/C on a 90° day, so they moved us to what they claimed was the only other room vacant in the entire hotel, which was a wheelchair accessible room. The roll-in shower was installed wrong so it was angled in a way that the water flows out onto the bathroom floor instead of down the drain. We had to make a dam with the three towels they had in the room. Then every day for the next 4 days we had to request new towels because housekeeping never once showed up. They said it's because they only come every 3 days, but it didn't happen in the 5 days we were there.

This is a hotel-conference center located within Gallaudet University. Beautiful campus, quiet, and safe. It's 10-15 minutes drive to the National Mall, very convenient location. The room we stayed in was clean and the bed was on the firm side, which works very well for me (I prefer firmer mattresses over the soft mattresses in most hotels). Easy check in and easy check out. Parking is located on site and is $50 per night. Room has a mini fridge, a safe, but no microwave. There is a gym. Would have appreciated a small couch in the room. Overall, highly recommend if you are visiting the area and need a quiet and clean place to stay.

We had a jr Queen suite which was lacking in decor. It had a sofa and loveseat but no coffee table or side tables. The desk had a lamp but that was the only light in the living room area. The tv had some weird channels and only carried CNN, MSNBC or old sitcoms. The bathroom was very nice but the shower door was in the wrong place and you had to step in the shower to reach the controls and the shower floor was very slippery and kind of dangerous.

Robert at the reception desk was especially helpful as he ensured we understood everything associated with our stay (for example, Wi-Fi, parking, nearby eating), including escorting us to the pathway/gate access to the nearby eating location. He did all of that with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. Although everything rates five star, there were two irritants: no maid service during our stay and a non-working drink vending machine one of the nights (repaired by the next night). We highly recommend the Kellogg Conference Hotel at Gallaudet University.

This is a great hotel for families or anyone who wants to explore DC. The hotel is located on a beautiful campus, walking distance to Union Market and they provide a shuttle to Union Station, very convenient. The staff is exceptional and so helpful! So warm and welcoming. They go above and beyond. The room was very clean and comfortable. Loved our stay and can’t wait to visit again!

Although our stay here actually didn't occur I'll comment because of how well things were handled. There was a last minute change that had us without a room there for the first of two nights. The manager called me the morning of our scheduled check in telling me that the hotel did not have a room for the first night. I didn't know that could happen. The manager had already found another hotel that was only 2 blocks away and set that up for us. He also comp'ed the first day. We decided to stay at the new hotel for both nights for convience. We stopped by the Kellogg to meet the manager and say thank you for handling the situation so well.

My overall stay was going well until the 2nd day. our heat stopped working in our room.. called the front desk to let them know and no one ever came up. It was 20 degrees outside which made it extremely worse. housekeeping never came to our room, had to call the front desk to ask for towels and tissue. There was one girl at the front desk who’s very sweet and was honestly the highlight of my stay.

Staff tried to talk me out of staying there twice in one day prior to check in to give my room to someone in the military who decided to extend their stay. I prepaid for my executive suite and ended up in a double room which is not what I paid for. Not happy

Clean, friendly and great location! Walking distance to amazing food and drinks at Union Market. Probably the friendly part of the city we've been in. Covered garage parking was a bit of a surprise at a cost of $60 per night. But, the room price made it well worth it. Highly recommend!

This was a great value for our money. We didn’t know we would have to pay an additional $45/day to park. We likely would have booked an air b&b with parking if we had known that cost up front. It’s on the hotel web site but not in the Expedia booking. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good! This is on a deaf campus so a lot of the hotel staff are deaf so be aware! We loved the staff, rooms were adequate, nothing fancy. Union market right across the street. Lots of cool places to eat and drink within a few blocks. .4 miles from a target and a Trader Joe’s for any last min needs and free one hour parking at those locations.

Beautiful campus. Pretty, peaceful. Great helpful staff. My room was large, clean and smelled wonderful. I loved the scent of the shampoo and soaps they used. The free breakfast was delicious, many choices. There was a market of several international restaurants across the street for dinner. Perfect stay

The property overall was pretty quiet except the last night where there was a soccer game going on till almost 10. The bathrooms are not great. Shower floor was slippery like an ice rink, they gave you a towel to put on the shower floor, nasty and cold. The toilet seat didn’t fit and the sink faucet leaked all over the top of the vanity flooding everything. The Bistro breakfast buffet was overpriced for sub-standard basic breakfast items. $61.00 for two people. Ridiculous. It is close to the union market but on Sunday you can’t get to it because the gates are locked and the hotel keycard didn’t open it. We had to stand there waiting for a student to enter so we could get out and again to get back in or else we would have to walk for several blocks around campus to get to the main entrance and then around to the market.

The service at the bistro was hard to figure. Appears to not have enough staff. Friend and I ordered eggs for breakfast, while waiting told to visit the buffet. Ate a bit off that and then our breakfast came, eggs ice cold. 6 other diners in the bistro at the time. no excuse for food not being served while hot. $30 for breakfast for 2 and 1/2 of what we ordered we did not touch. also, no microwaves in the hotel. Oatmeal packets being sold but no way to warm them....& why not just give a card to the guest re getting back into campus after leaving thru gate? we kept forgetting to ask for one and then hours later upon our return had to walk down to the security guard station. Really unnecessary. Would not stay again.

Hotel was clean, quiet and nice. The shuttle to Union station worked great. They offer an app to track the shuttle. There was a food court called Union market close with lots of choices. The breakfast at the hotel was out only regret. We were left alone for 20 minutes, we finally left without good. We were leaving south on Amtrak, so there location was superb.
