Such a great hotel! Denver’s oldest hotel that maintains its charm and character but still offers modern day luxuries. Excellent continental breakfast and bourbon tastings daily. The Cruise Bar is a must go and has been a part of the Oxford since the 30’s. Stuart (maybe Stewart) is exceptionally friendly and filled with great recommendations and just overall great to talk to about the area’s history. Definitely my Denver Go-To

The Oxford has a complimentary driving service within 2 miles of the hotel, though. Stopped by the iconic Cruise Room, for old times’ sake. We had massages and spa treatments at the Oxford spa, that’s for a different review. The hotel also has a gym and classes in the same building as the spa and salon. Breakfast each morning in the lobby was a small, but good variety of protein, pastries, and yogurt. Coffee and tea are available all day, along with eco-friendly bottles of water. Service was friendly and helpful, when ever we had a question. Beds were mostly comfortable, would have appreciated more variety in the pillows. Valet and concierge were fantastic and very friendly. There were several addition taxes and fees and charges, so be sure to look over your total bill.

Oldest hotel in Denver so still had lots of charm. Very convenient to Union Station, you can take a train from the airport to union station for 10 dollars much much cheaper than an Uber and the hotel is a 2 minute walk from the station. It is also a short walk to the Arts centres and shops,restaurants on 16th Street. Free car service within 2 miles so we were taken to the car hire place Avis free in Denver.

This is a very nice old hotel in downtown. It is within walking distance of a lot of things including Coors Field. The staff was great, especially the valets as we had a rental car. The room was nice albeit a bit small. Maid service is by request and there is only one small trash can in the room. Needless to say, it was overflowing by the end of our stay. There is no fan in the bathroom. Also, there are no vending or ice machines in the hotel. If you want ice, you must go to the front desk and they will get you a bucket of ice. There is a nice breakfast each morning which includes lox with onion and capers, yogurt, bagel crisps, hard boiled eggs and various cakes. Coffee and juice and tea are also available. There is a car available for trips less than two miles. One night we were having dinner at the Buckhorn Exchange which is 1.8 miles away. One of the valets dropped us off there, but was not available to pick us up. The front desk sent me a text for Lyft. All I had to do was tap on it and a car was there within a few minutes and brought us back free of charge. There is also a liquor tasting and live music in the lobby almost every evening. The wife found the pillows too thick and a bit uncomfortable. Overall, it was very nice.

Overall, our two night stay was very satisfying. And one consistent "5" rating goes to the friendly staff. Plus the bed was very comfortable, which is always a welcome thing. But there were just a few things which detracted a bit from our stay. One as that the toilet seat was loose. Of course, I know how to fix that, but I'm not fond of doing so in a highly-rated hotel. In addition, the balance on the bathroom door was such that it nearly closed itself even when we would have preferred it to be open. The last "nit" was that the window sill had quite a bit of dirt on it (actually the top of the closed window section on the bottom). It looked like it had not been wiped off for many months. In the scheme of things, it's no big deal (and it is an historic hotel), but I still found it a bit off-putting. Other than those somewhat minor things, our stay was great. I would recommend it to friends.

The hotel is lovely, clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. The staff was friendly and helpful; the complimentary continental breakfast was good. My only complaint/disappointment is there was no daily housekeeping. During our 3-night stay, our bed was not made, bathroom was not cleaned, and wastebaskets were not emptied.

It would have been nice to have a small fridge to bring your own bottled water. We asked twice for towels and didn't get them. Ended up coming home from concert at midnight to have to get them from desk which took forever to get. The two bellman at the front door where wonderful and made for a very nice stay. The hotel was very quiet and clean.

Very convenient location! Valets were super friendly - front desk staff was hit or miss in terms of friendliness. I was surprised at how filthy the windows and window blinds were- they were literally caked with dust and dirt. There was also an empty can under our nightstand from a previous guest. Some more attention could be given to housekeeping.

Beautiful hotel that was very convenient to Union Station. Room was clean and quiet and beds were the most comfortable of our trip. Staff was very accommodating and brought a small refrigerator to our room to store food needed for our travels. Highly recommend.

There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room. The room was quite noisy and we were both woken up several times every night by screaming or other loud noises. It was an average stay at best. We were disappointed because the hotel is so highly mentioned and recommended in travel guides.

Pros: The entire staff were incredibly nice. I appreciated being able to check in early, and check out is not until noon (most hotels require you to checkout at 11am). The hotel was very conveniently located, making most everything walkable. Cons: Bathroom was oddly dirty, I did bring this up during my stay, but only 50% of the issues were rectified. There was some sort of construction IN the hotel taking place during my stay. I asked to be relocated to a different room to reduce the noise levels, but there were sadly no vacancies. There was no refrigerator in the room, making it impossible to keep leftovers from the delicious restaurants I went to. Finally, despite setting the AC to 61 degrees F, it constantly felt uncomfortably warm in the room, even though I could feel the cool air coming out of the vent. At a cost of ~ $350/night, I sadly will not be returning.

Great location, right by the train station. Room was beautiful. But the bathroom was so poorly designed, it really affected our trip. There was no toilet lid so I had to keep our toothbrushes outside the bathroom. Do you know how much fecal matter sprays around when there is no lid? And while there were FOUR grab bars in the bathtub/shower, there was no hook nearby to put your towel. I had to scream for my partner to give me my towel when I was done showering. The sink was the tiniest sink I ever saw - water got everywhere on the counter because of it. It made for a very messy stay. I'm so surprised that the bathroom was an afterthought because the room was designed quite well.

Close to food and shopping. It was ok. Offered bottles of water and it was hot when we were there so much appreciated. The air conditioner was not the best. The room was very small. Valet parking was pricey but they were very nice and it was convenient. The ceiling molding could use a clean. Would try another place next time.

Lovely historic hotel with spacious, quiet rooms, and comfortable beds. Stayed for one night on our way north. There are evening events such as alcohol tastings in the lobby area and a small free breakfast. We also received a small bottle of wine as part of our online booking which was a nice touch.

A beautiful old hotel and so convenient to Union Station. Very different to chain hotels. Friendly doorman. Our room was clean and neat. Our view was of another room’s window, so couldn’t have curtains open for natural light because we could see right into theirs and they could see right into ours. No mini fridge. Not many electrical outlets if you need to use an international power adapter because they won’t fit, especially near the beds. Limited breakfast, no hot food options. But very quiet and felt rested in the morning.

The Heat in my room did not work! And temperature was freezing in Denver. They brought me a hard thin cotton blanket and a mattress pad to keep warm with!! A mattress pad, Is a blanket!! This was ridiculous! I was quite cold, the whole entire time in my room. I was cold getting out of the shower. Most uncomfortable room I ever stayed in. The Heat in my room did not work! And temperature was freezing in Denver. They brought me a hard thin cotton blanket and a mattress pad to keep warm with!! A mattress pad, Is a blanket!! This was ridiculous! I was quite cold, the whole entire time in my room. I was cold getting out of the shower. Most uncomfortable room I ever stayed in. It would have been nice to have a small fridge to bring your own bottled water. We asked twice for towels and didn't get them. Ended up coming home from concert at midnight to have to get them from desk which took forever to get. The two bellman at the front door where wonderful and made for a very nice stay. The hotel was very quiet and clean.

I left some items in the room (positively know I did) and the customer service was terrible. I had to call 5 times over 4 days just to find out “house keeping didn’t find anything”. The manager couldn’t care less about communicating with me or finding my items. Bummer of an experience.

I came to Denver for a conference and stayed at the Oxford for five nights. The staff ranged from friendly and enthusiastic to dour and mousy. This was an expensive stay at over $300 a night including all fees. Thad booked a particular room a few days before arrival because I knew I was coming in late. The person I spoke with was pleasant and accommodating, and helped me select a room that would meet my needs. I was told that they would lock the room so I could be assured of having it when I got in. When I arrived, the room had been given away and I was told that a manager must've overridden it and that " very important people" were staying here right now. Disappointing. I guess my $300 a night wasn't important enough for them to honor what they'd told me. Pros: - comfortable bed - historic hotel - workout facilities a couple doors away were nice Cons: - poor plumbing with shower that could not be adjusted, tiny sink almost unusable - Shabby carpeting and uncomfortable chair - continental breakfast very limited - you have to request every little thing - maid service, meal credit for the restaurant was provided once when it was supposed to be a per-day offering, welcome gift as part of hotels.com not provided until requested and then only occurred grudgingly.

The staff was excellent from the moment we pulled up in front. All friendly and very helpful. Easy check in, the rooms were like stepping back in time (except with all the amenities). Breakfast was wonderful. Easy walk to Union station. The restaurant was excellent. I will definitely stay in this hotel again.

I’ve stayed at the Oxford many times before but I’m afraid this time may be my last. The value for money just isn’t there. The shower in my room had very low pressure & produced only a light sprinkle. The continental breakfast options are minimal and in my last morning they had run out of supplies to maintain their basic offering… and when I asked if there any more bagel chips I was curtly told there were none left (only an hour after breakfast started). When I checked out, the man at the front desk didn’t even tell me my balance before charging my card.,.. and didn’t even bother to ask how my stay was, which is probably why I feel the need to write this long negative review.

Nothing against the hotel itself but the neighborhood goes LOUD late Friday Saturday. There’s a club across the street so take that into consideration. I’m adaptable and was able to deal but if I had known probably would have picked a different location for those nights. Staff and property great though. Convenient location very helpful staff property car rides for near locations. The bar was super cool with great bartenders.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Oxford, you can’t beat the location! This is a very well preserved historical building, the rooms were clean and comfortable. It’s a five minute walk to union station, making transportation to and from the airport extremely convenient.

The hotel itself was great. The staff were friendly and first rate. The big issue was outside on Wazee Street. There was a large group of young people aggressively fighting, yelling loudly, cussing, drinking etc. until about 3-4 AM both nights we were there. We spoke to the desk the next morning and apparently this is a normal occurrence. We'll probably steer clear until this issue can get resolved.

Such a great hotel! Denver’s oldest hotel that maintains its charm and character but still offers modern day luxuries. Excellent continental breakfast and bourbon tastings daily. The Cruise Bar is a must go and has been a part of the Oxford since the 30’s. Stuart (maybe Stewart) is exceptionally friendly and filled with great recommendations and just overall great to talk to about the area’s history. Definitely my Denver Go-To

Large, well-appointed room. Very nice products in the bathroom. The bar was awesome, and the food in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The bourbon and whisky tasting in the lobby was a nice surprise! The continental breakfast was equally elegant and toothsome.

Don’t have a “9am on the dot” style clean up of breakfast. 9am cutoff is often too early for people on vacation. 3. If you are offering breakfast, don’t run out of items. Other than that, an excellent stay

Cute historic hotel, convenient to Union Station. Nice decor for the holidays, good restaurant and spa. Valet parking, but expensive. Continental b-fast ended too early (9a) and there were not tables. Also it would have been nice to have a refrigerator in the room.

There are evening events such as alcohol tastings in the lobby area and a small free breakfast. We also received a small bottle of wine as part of our online booking which was a nice touch.

Staying at the Oxford Hotel added so much to my family’s first visit to Denver. It was historic, had so much history and charm and was SO CLEAN and well maintained. From the water stations, the provided breakfast, convenience to everywhere we wanted to go and the robes (my favorite) it had almost everything. The only draw back was the internet and tv setup. The internet was free, but had several popups and wouldn’t stay connected. The tv remote had a dedicated Netflix button, but when we asked it was not a smart tv. This truly was the only negative. Large extractor fan right outside the window. For the price paid would have hoped for a window facing out of the building with natural light. Great location near to the station and local restaurants.
