Great place to stay while visiting our son close by. Lots of food options within walking distance. Free breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had! Delicious! Staff was very kind and helpful. Room was clean and well stocked. Only complaint would be we tried to use the hot tub 3 different days but it was cold on each occasion so we could not.

The elevator was broken and you had to use the stairs it was broken when I got there and broken when I left 3 days later! The towels were to small I had to use two towels after I took a shower to dry myself!

Overall the hotel was great. We stayed for one night, 2 adults, 2 kids. The room was clean, but a little bit small so we felt cramped. Service was good. Pool was much smaller than anticipated and the pool towels were small enough for a toddler. Breakfast was decent. There are good options to eat within walking distance and a Target as well.

Wonderful location! Plenty of fast food within walking distance! Breakfast was best Irene wonderful cook big variety best ever! The elevator was down front desk carried our luggage to the second floor. We’re 75 yrs old and knees don’t work to good! Great location next to I-15 !

Nice weekend stay. Beds were very comfortable, room was spacious. Breakfast was very good. The weather was colder for this time in June, but the kids still had a great time in the pool and spa. Parking is easy and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Target is across the street. The "bad" didn't affect our stay: 1) No A/C in central hotel areas - or at least that's what it felt like. The hallways were always warm and humid and smelled a little funny. 2) The elevator was incredibly slow and smelled weird. You could walk up and down the stairs at least twice in the time it took for the elevator to come down 1 level. 3) the gym smelled awful. That's it. We enjoyed our stay and we would come again because none of the "bad" things were deal breakers.

Hi hotel seemed clean and convenient, but the AC air coming out had a musty smell to it , it was pretty gross, I think vents need to be cleaned, also a spire elite IGH member but booked through Expedia and I guess it did not matter I was IGH reward member had to pay for bottle of water and no reward points

The breakfast person/ staff was rude. I requested the room to be checked due to ants in the closet and restroom on Saturday am. I returned Saturday nite to find there were still ants after the front desk said they would address it. I have pictures and videos as proof I would like a call by Expedia or holiday inn staff. I ended up leaving the hotel and did not stay. The smell of MOLD was overwhelming powerful as i walked into the room, I checked the room and there was mold in the bathroom ceiling and all the way around the window. I got a headache from being there less than 5 minutes!. There was also small bugs on the window rim. Disgusting. DO NOT STAY HERE! And the front desk person did not seem surprised when I told him I was not staying when I presented these issues

Overall our stay was exactly what we needed it to be. The staff was courteous and helpful. Our first room didn’t have working AC (and it was the hottest weekend of the year!), nor would our toilet flush properly. The staff moved us to another room and the rest of our stay was perfect.

Always comfortable and convenient to stay at Holiday Inn Express. This particular location has dated televisions. I could not connect to my fire stick I always carry with me to all by business trips. Other than that, I do love Holiday Inn Express.

My family had a fairly good stay. We stayed in a room with two double beds. The room was a bit cramped and the air conditioning made a lot of noise because the cover was cracked but with some adjustment, we were able to keep the noise level to a minimum so we were able to sleep comfortably each night. The room and bathroom were clean and well stocked with bathroom essentials. My husband even like the coffee provided with the Keurig. The hotel was located near a lot of restaurants and shopping which was very convenient, however, much as we love In-n-Out (which was right next to the hotel), the long line of cars accessing their drive-thru would oftentimes block guests like us who needed to get to the hotel driveway and parking. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and might consider staying here again in the future

Overall it’s a good hotel. Service was good. Breakfast was excellent. However, the elevator is a bit dirty. I think it’s also being used as a freight elevator. Lastly, behind our room is Highway 15 and it does get a bit noisy at times.

Unfortunately our stay didn’t go well. We experienced racial discrimination 2hrs into our stay. They also called the police on us, all because of the receptionist racial bias towards our teenage boys who were enjoy themselves in the hot tub after there tournament. They where not disturbing anyone, no other guest there. The words she used towards us and the kids were uncomfortable and unpleasant. Police report was taken we were not at fault. Will the hotel take responsibility, probably not. Sports parents if traveling don’t stay here if your a person of color.

The receptionist (Mark) was terrific when we checked in yesterday. For some reason our key card didn’t work. Mark asked if he could give it a try (3rd floor at the end of the long hallway) but the key didn’t work for him either. So he solved the problem right away by moving us to a different room immediately (because we were very tired after a long day at Safari Park). Thanks again Mark!

The cash deposit charge on my debit card was not returned for 7 days . That was very inconvenient and front desk clerk did not explain or inform me that that would be the case . In fact explained that I eoulf not be charged and would receive my deposit immediately upon checkout which was in fact not the case

The people were pleasant & hospitable and the breakfast was good and the area kept very clean. Getting to the hotel is a little complicated because of the line going into In & Out Burger right next door. Just staying to the right on the road to the hotel will get you through to the hotel and there is plenty of parking.

Rug needs to be cleaned but otherwise very good. Hard to figure out exactly where the hotel is, recessed off the main road. Also shares the entry road with two busy fast food restaurants. Sometimes difficult to get back to the hotel after leaving for awhile

We were there on a family trip for the in San Diego, and really liked the hotel. Kind of small but very clean, especially being right off the freeway. Very friendly and very close to a lot of quick eats and retail stores, in case we forgot something. Overall very nice stay

The hotel is very favorably located for visitors to San Diego Safari Park. There are a lot of dining options within a few minutes driving distance and the hotel is conveniently located right next to the 15 freeway. Costco gas station is also less than 4 minutes away

Had a weekend stay to attend a family graduation at USCSM. Hotel is about 10 minutes from the university campus. Nice little hotel, easy to find via GPS and very, very clean. All the staff was super nice and efficient, all greeting you when you arrived and left the hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable with actual maid service. Haven't seen that since COVID. Excellent breakfast service as well with lots of choices including eggs, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, pancakes, cereals and fruits with coffee and juices. There are also numerous restaurants and fast food joints nearby, some within walking distance. All in all, an excellent stay!

This hotel worked well for our vacation trip to the various fun places the greater San Diego area has to offer. Requests for things were granted quickly, though we had to ask for one more towel every time they refreshed ours (4 towels for 5 people doesn't work well). Good, filling breakfast with lots of options, but awful coffee.
