Check in was good & went into the apartment. Put the kettle on & all the socket electrics tripped out.. reception sorted it & it immediately happened again. They said it happens all the time!! Clearly the electrics need checking. The apartment was dreary & looked nothing like the pictures shown. The reception staff had to move us to their sister hotel The Princes Suites. They paid for a taxi & treated us very nicely .. staff great room not so great but the sister hotel was lovely.

It is hard to find in the location through a ‘close’ which is unique to Edinburgh. Not as close as we would have thought and had to walk more with the uphill situation.

Nice studio. Everything was fine except very warm room. Too light at night, needs a black curtain not a white. The door was week, when the neighbour left his room it sounded like he was coming in to ours.

The room had electricity problems — fusebox triggered twice for no apparent reason. The fusebox needed to be set from within another room. There also seemed to be a problem with one of the electrical outlets. Breakfast was not worth the money. It was largely packaged dry food. We were told we could not cancel it due to the booking through hotels.com.
