Conveniently located right outside the central train station. Many restaurants close by. Rooms are basic but very clean. Bathroom also clean with shower only, good hot water. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Convience store close by at the train station, small mini bar in hallway of each floor if you don't feel like walking. I have found hotels in Geneva can be quite expensive so this was a good value. My meetings were out by the airport but with free transport pass and one stop to the airport it was convenient and nice to be in the city center in the evening.

Excellent value for money, the staff at the front desk is extremely friendly and always ready to solve any problem. My first visit to Geneva (17 years ago) was to this hotel and from then until now it has improved a lot. It no longer resembles that old, dirty and dark hotel.

Served the purpose. Was close to everything and convenient. The walls are quite thin so you will hear people in the hallways and next door. Bathroom had an odd smell. Small but it works- no frills. Clean. Odd things with the structure and layout: The walls have a stone-like popcorn ceiling material. Gaps in workmanship and the gaps in the ceiling where the air comes in are odd and a bit unsettling. Key for room-with a weighted keychain- not a card. Safe in room. Tea bag and one instant coffee and a decaf instant coffee. One pillow. It's great if you're staying in the city and need to be close to everything. I'd stay again but nothing exceptional. Meets the need.

El check in muy bien, la llave incomoda porque pesa mucho, es muy grande. En cuanto a la habitación, muy pequeña para 3 personas, no hay mucho espacio para maletas, y el baño fue un suplicio… Todo es de vidrio, cero privacidad porque las luces no están separadas y si prendes una, se prenden hasta las de la cama, muy incómodo porque si necesitas ir al baño y prender la luz, se ilumina toda la habitación y si hay otras personas durmiendo pues se despiertan, y si la luz está prendida, se ve todo para dentro del baño, y horror que te estén viendo. La ubicación excelente, están construyendo frente al hotel, pero la insonorización es buena, a menos que abras la ventana. En general el hotel es bueno, pero eso de las luces si deben de revisar, además ahorrarían más si separaran los apagadores.

Very basic hotel room near the train station. Thing I liked most: actual hooks on the back of the door for hanging wet jackets. Things I liked least: the bathroom door that offered no privacy, and the thermostat that wouldn’t let me change the temperature or even the volume of airflow.

The air conditioning would not get the room less than 23.5 and we were hot. Staff tried everything, and delivered a fan which helped, But if you want a cool room I would check other hotels. Staff is great.

Too warm to sleep! I could not control the room temperature. It was too warm. I turned the heat completely off and still it was too warm. I needed to open the windows to be comfortable enough to sleep, which was way too noisy to do. Would not stay again.

The location of this property in Geneva could not be better. Literally adjacent to the train station, shopping, excellent cafés and restaurants, and within a five minute walk of the lake and the promenade. Excellent for a solo traveler or a couple. Staff was warm and attentive and housekeeping, efficient and daily. I will absolutely stay here again when I return to Geneva.

トランスポートパスを入手するためのメールを受け取った記憶がありません。３日前に届いたオンラインチェックインを促すメールに反応すれば案内があったのかも知れませんが、チェックインにしては早すぎる気がして見送りました。もしオンラインチェックインをしなければトランスポートパスが手に入らないということであればもっとしっかりとアナウンスしていただきたかったですし、到着後にフロントで問い合わせても「メールが届いているはずだからチェックしろ」と言われるだけで、オンラインチェックインのリンク先は既に閉じられていました。３泊しましたが、バスタオルが交換されていなかったり、前の日のバスマットやタオルが残っていたりしました。マイナス面を先に書きましたが、シングルの予約だったのに最上階のダブルにしてもらい深い浴槽があったこと、そして、駅や現地ツアーの出発場所であるバスターミナルが至近だったことはとてもよかったので、星は全て３つにしました。

Esta muy bien ubicado a unos pasos de la terminal del tren. Sus camas son un tormento para dormir y la ropa de cama son solo dos edredones imdividuales. El control del clima no funcionaba. Su espacio es reducido y la tv es de 20 pulgadas. Por otra parte no nos querian hacer valido el desayuno incluido por suerte teniamos impresa la reserva y solo asi nos lo hicieron efectivo. Por cierto buen desayuno.

This is one of the many hotels surrounding the train station in Geneva. This one is modern and can be reached easily via an undergound passage to a pedestrian mall, something to consider if you have heavy bags. Very clean facility, comfortable but sparse rooms. Very good buffet breakfast. Efficient staff at the front desk. Walkable to the lake and area hotels and shops, even a walk across the bridge takes no more than 20 minutes. I would stay here again.

My strategy is to book a hotel within walking distance of the train station, and Hotel Cristal fits this criterion. PROs: Walking distance to a vibrant shopping streets, e.g., Mont Blanc, Berne, etc., and plenty of eateries. Small cozy hotel room with all the convenience, clean, and topnotch shower! An off-season reasonable price. Excellent breakfast on the 8th Floor with a fantastic view at sunrise! Polite breakfast assistants. Nice lounge area which I never used to relax or do anything. CONs: Room could use a larger TV screen. More central lightings needed even though eco-friendliness is at play here. Hotel still uses traditional room keys with heavy metal keychain - imagine carrying that around town in your backpack! No free local newspapers for customers. Front desk staff could be a little less formal. But again chitchat is optional, and staff is a bit too cold and formal. An excellent choice after all. Recommended.
