Rooms are small but well kept. Staff is excellent. There are no real amenities to the hotel other than the room, which is very clean. Surrounding area is convenient as far as being next to the train with easy access to the airport, but this also means that the area is not always the most savory. We were warned about pick pockets, but in general the area never felt dangerous.

Room was small, a bit like a college dorm room, with two single beds. No dresser or luggage jack but a bench under a 1 meter hanging shelf with six hangers. There is a very small fridge, that you’ll need to turn on upon arrival, that had two water bottles, a chocolate heart, and one beer, all of which were complimentary. The bath towels are not luxurious nor is the shampoo or soap. The hotel smells good and the staff is friendly and warm. They offer breakfast for 19 euro and have a coffee maker that cost 2 euro in the lobby. The blackout blinds in our room were inoperable and the beds were not particularly comfortable, but it is all reflective in the nightly rate. We chose the BERNINA because of its proximity to the main train station in Geneva and the fact we had a 0700 flight from the airport, which is a six minute ride away. The hotel is convenient and has a friendly staff but it is not a luxury hotel. They try hard to provide a good experience but it is a budget hotel that is immediately across the street from the train station.

A nice hotel in a very convenient location, right across from the main railway station, where one can take a public bus or light rail to almost anywhere, including United Nations compound and CERN, without transfer. Also, it's in walking distances to the lake front and some other tourist hot spots, including very good restaurants. We booked a triple-bed room. Facilities are pretty good. The room itself, however, is a little too tight for three adult people. The front desk staff was very nice. We were also offered free city transportation passes, though we don't need them.

Found multiple bugs in the room on arrival, requested a room change or refund and was turned away. In addition, the room is not meant for more than one person. Overall wouldn’t recommend whatsoever.

The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. The hotel was recently renovated and is very nicely decorated throughout. The breakfast was also good - exactly what I was looking for (I had Bircher museli and fresh bread, but there was also a selection of fresh pastries, pancakes, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, meats and cheese). The hotel is conveniently located directly across from the train station - can get from your room to the platform in 3 mins! I highly recommend this hotel.

We did not sleep well because the room was warm and stuffy, with no effective individual room temperature control. The windows open, but at night we had to close them because of street noise. We chose this hotel for its proximity to the train station. Honestly, this was priority #1. The hotel accommodations were fine, and like many other reviewers, we found the room ok, but the bathroom was very tiny. For a short two night stay, it was sufficient. We were on the top floor and this helped with the street noise. It did seem that the A/C was not to responsive as it was a little warm.

The hotel was very centrally located. It made visiting sites very easy. The hotel was clean and the rooms were adequate. The staff was not very helpful. We asked the front desk a question and they told us to Google it. If you like your room cool this is not the place for you as the AC will not go very low. They have minimum temp locked. This might be how all the hotels are, but room was too warm for me to get a good night sleep.

After arriving in Geneva from DC, it was a welcome sure to see the Hotel right outside the train station! Even though we were close to the train station, trams and busses, the room was quiet. The room also had blackout curtains as well which made a great night sleep! Rafael, and all the others , were great to work with. I had sent several emails to Rafael confirming a few things and he alway responded very quickly. We will be back! Much appreciative of the great service we had at the hotel. We saw everything we came to see. Thanks

We loved our stay here! The front desk team was outstanding and helpful especially Sami and Gloria! The breakfast staff were also friendly and gracious even when I heard someone being rude to the lady working! Excellent location right across from train station; so convenient! The free passes for public transportation was much appreciated! Also close to bus terminal for tours. Room was spotless and had mini fridge. Plenty of hot water and even a mini balcony. We absolutely loved our time in Geneva and hotel Bernina!

Great location, over the road from the train station, 5 minute walk to the lake, tram stop right outside of the hotel to go elsewhere and shops within walking distance. hotel was lovely, rooms were clean and had everything we needed, the guy at reception was great, friendly and helpful. Would recommend and would definitely stay again

Our favorite thing was proximity to the train and bus (literally right across 2-3 min walk) and yet the apartment was comfortable and quiet. We didn’t hear the train or traffic from the room!! I appreciated that rooms were free of smoke odors given lots of people smoke in public places in the city. I loved how close this hotel is to eating spots, Migros grocery store for breakfast and snacks. It is in the Geneva downtown area. Only con- I wished for cooler air conditioning but it seems having none is common in Switzerland. The room was a bit small but very clean. Suited our needs for exploring the city and just coming back to rest at night. Staff was friendly. 10/10 would visit again!!

Great location, right across the train station and in walking distance to all attractions. We loved the contemporary decor and the cleanliness. We were happy to have the option to check in early (but for an additional fee). We enjoyed the plentiful breakfast buffet. The only thing we would improve is to have temperature control in the room which was not possible, and it was a little cool for our taste. We would come here again!

Perfect for staying by the train station with free transport to the airport! Can easily walk to waterfront and bus station. They store your luggage and are kind and helpful! Great breakfast also! So convenient for us!
