ibis Geneve Centre Lac

Location was ideal staff were very helpful and friendly! Breakfast was good 😊 Had a nice comfortable stay for one night !

Great location. A short walk from the main train station in one direction and bus station the other. Easy to walk into Geneva or use the Geneva free pass to use the bus/tram/boat. Lots of relatively 'cheap' restaurants in the area. We used the local supermarket near the train station for lunch etc.

I stayed at ibis Genève Centre Lac during my trip to Geneva and, overall, I was very happy with my stay. For the price I paid, I thought it offered excellent value for money. One of the biggest advantages is the location. It’s conveniently located not far from Geneva Airport with excellent public transport connections, and the free Geneva Transport Card was a fantastic bonus. Most of the city’s main tourist attractions were within walking distance or just a short tram ride away, making it an ideal base for exploring Geneva. The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable. It’s worth noting that the rooms are fairly basic and don’t include many amenities. For example, there isn’t a kettle in the room, although hot water and a kettle are available in the lobby. The bathroom is also on the smaller side, and I noticed the room door didn’t have a peephole or an additional security lock. None of these were deal-breakers for me, especially considering the price, but they’re worth knowing before you book. As with any city, I’d recommend using a little caution if returning to the hotel late at night. I personally had no problems during my stay. Before booking, I had originally planned to stay at the nearby Novotel, which is only around a five-minute walk away. After staying at the ibis, I think it was a great choice if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable hotel in a central location without paying higher prices for extra facilities. Overall, I would happily stay here again

The room was in gret condition when we walked in, everything is its place and all the amenities we need are there. I noticed a distinct smell tho upon walking in like a pet smell. Maybe it’s the way the floor was vacuumed, I’m not sure coz I still smelled it until we left. Were there for two night. The associates that helped me at check in is very friendly and informative, even the staff at the bar. We did enjoy our stay and it’s a great location.

People aren’t joking when they call it a red light district. Windows have shutters on if you open them with the locked windows you’ll see women suspiciously sat in chairs looking out the window dressed a certain way. Other than the clear hidden businesses nearby it’s a good proximity to the train station and coach station and the room was decent. Lack of amenities such as no safe no fridge no towels but the beds did the job for a night decent looking hotel.
