Bloomsbury Palace Hotel

Charming rooms with Queen size beds, we just got a place in the bed. New beds very hard, the youngest in the party had no problem with this. Thoughtful room, all beds had a small table and electrical outlet and lamp right next to them. USB and USB-C plug and regular English socket. So smart and we also got a small charger as a gift. Coffee Tea and biscuits in the room. Hot water in the shower and a real shower door. Nothing got wet around in this small bathroom. The neighboring room had been very cleaned. Stink of chlorine so it had to be aired out but then the smell was gone and it was clean. Narrow narrow stairs down to the basement with carpets. we had no problem with this. Breakfast was included and the five of us were satisfied. Toast, coffee Tea cheese ham cereal and eggs and fruit, some buns and lots of alternative milks 👍 Apart from the fact that the breakfast room as written before was so incredibly small. We were lucky and often got a place. but several had to stand and queue to be able to enter the room. The underground from Heathrow Airport to Russel square is about 45 min. Walk to Tottenham square or good????? (forgot the name) are also close. We will absolutely be back!

Lovey hotel. Great location near Tottenham Court Rd. Pubs, restaurants, transport close by. Breakfast was fine for us - cereal, toast, fruit, yoghurt, boiled eggs, pastries. We were on the third floor with no lift, so a bit of a struggle but we managed.

This place gives you easy access to the city and the staff was very friendly. The back garden needed a little care and some additional seating. We found the bed to be uncomfortable.

Bit tight for space for 3 adults but adequate. Kettle coffee etc. but really tiny cups. Fan was handy although the window did open fully which is unusual. Shower ok. Toiletries provided. Free safe in wardrobe Complimentary breakfast good. Cereals toast juice pastries , replenished ifren. room was only small with 6 tables but nice.

The room was good and staff were pleasant. However, our room was next to a staff room and we were subject to loud 'chatter ' from about 7am. The dining room was far too crowded with some guests having to stand to eat!

We stayed in room 305 which was at the top of the hotel. No lift, 3 flights of stairs...so if mobilly impaired then ask for a lower level. The bathroom was tiny and the door did not close , as not fitted correctly. The room was warm, there was no air con but the window opened as that was fine. It was clean and pretty comfortable. The staff were very helpful and the continental breakfast was good. It was however, perfectly situated for where we wanted to be. Pretty quiet at night. Lovely Italian restaurant and wine bar around the corner from the hotel.

We chose Bloombsbury because it was an affordable place to stay outside of London central. We were happy with our choice. It's just a short 2-3 minute walk from Goodge Station, so we could get anywhere we needed to quickly and easily. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance as well. It is a walk-up - no lift - and we were on the 3rd floor so getting up there with our luggage was a bit rough, but otherwise no big issues. If that's a problem for you, make sure you request a lower floor. They offer a simple continental breakfast at no cost, so that was nice on the days we had to rush out to catch a train. Check-in and check-out were easy; staff were friendly.

Mousetraps visible in hallway had me lying awake almost all night! We arrived early and guy on reception was not particularly friendly welcoming or helpful gave us stickers to put on some of our luggage and told us to come back at 3pm. Shower really difficult to use due to setting and inability to change water direction. A pity as the actual room was well done and hotel is in a great position

We got the room that was the farthest down, and had no help carrying our bags to the very bottom of that basement. We did like the breakfast but the room felt claustrophobic and had a weird smell.

Very close to the British Museum, but not very clean

The room had bad damp on the walls with bubbled paint and stains. It was right by the bed where you slept. I reported it to reception who said they hadn’t known. However this damp doesn’t appear over night and had clearly been like it for a while.

Handy place and comfy small room. Unfortunately the glass shelves and kettle in the room were super dusty and ruined the overall super professional and clean image the hotel was aiming for

Probably one of the worst hotel I have stayed. I preferred to forfeit a night than sleep in this dirty hotel

The front desk staff, breakfast and breakfast workers were great. The housekeeper was horrible. Not clean, no clean towels and no coffee

Peeling paint in the room. Smelt damp.

The sheets were dirty the staff came after 3 min from asking and let me small sheet she left single person one when there was two of us there was bug in the room I would not recommend this hotel at all.

The room itself, whilst small was sufficient for a one night stay. However, only in return to the room late in the evening did it become apparent that the air con was inoperative, as a result the room was very hot. Also on searching for the TV remote (missing) numerous toe nail clippings and dust particles etc were behind the bed. The room clearly had not been cleaned properly. Photo evidence was provided to reception.

Location is great, very close to the British Museum and metro. Clean, recently renovated, well decorated even of the room is super small. Excellent value for the money.

Two night stay. Basement room which had a strange smell and was quite small but decor was nice.

Had a single room and the bed was between two walls. Problem is that the space between the walls were 190 cm and with a headboard of 5 cm the area "over" was 185 cm. Than it's difficult to have a good night sleep when your 183 cm and you also should fit a pillow in the bed so and can't strech out without having the feet in one wall and the head in the other. Why don't have a standard lenght of 200 cm for the bed or at least give this information in the description? The bed itself it was no problem with. Small but good breakfast but could do with more than chees to offer for your sandwich

The room was very small—not even enough space to open up my suitcase. This is an ok option for solo travel, but I wouldn’t recommend to have multiple people stay together. The room was also very warm during the summer—the small fan on the side table was a saving grace.

I'm glad I got to the breakfast room early, as advised. I couldn't find any saucers or eggcups, but it was all part of the fun! The bed was very comfortable. I slept very well. Having read comments about a lack of air con, I was delighted to have cool air from the built-in fan on such a warm night.

Very very small - if you are bigger than 5”9 you won’t be able to lay down flat… the single bed was squeezed between walls. If your heavier than average, you won’t fit in the shower… all round claustrophobic experience

Paid extra to upgrade to the 11sqm room - still got the 7sqm room and when questioned the reception told me there is only one size of single room. The room was nice just very cramped and claustrophobic meaning it was very hot even in the autumn.

Staff were friendly, price was very good for central London, everywhere was clean , excellent buffet breakfast with plenty of choices and great location. My room was small but cozy and faced the main road on the 2nd floor. I heard some noise from outside but nothing major. Inside seemed very quiet. I loved the powerful rainshower, decent sized TV , comfortable bed and pillows, fan to keep the room cooler, modern bathroom etc. The bed went from wall to wall and was the right size for me . If over 6 feet tall then it could be an issue. Only 15 -20 mins walk to Euston Station, Covent Garden and Regents Park . I will definitely rebook this hotel .

The rooms are as tiny as expected. Bathroom really old, wall to wall carpet everywhere…. 🙈 and try to not get a room toward the street. Very loud.

For the location, the Bloomsbury is great. The bed was super comfy. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was great. My only negative would be that, due to being on the ground floor I was woken a few times by comings and goings through the night. I would recommend a stay here, just maybe ask for a room on an upper floor if a light sleeper.

Front Desk people Zero sympathy and kindness, not willing to provide any information from any of the people who were there.The person at breakfast was super nice and so was the breakfast. King bed does not exist as I thought I had paid for and no elevator.

I had to print some documents and the receptionist did it for me immediately - thanks again for that!

Room was next to the breakfast room so woken up at 557 by noise of setting up. Told reception who phoned manager who told him to deal with it as she was next door! Poor.

The Bloomsbury Palace tries hard and is successful at many levels. I was able to walk directly to the hotel from Warren Station. It is located about 5 minutes away from Tottenham Court Road which has great shops, restaurants, coffee bars, and food outlets. Goodge Station was also nearby and I used it regularly. The breakfast is well presented. The staff at the front desk are helpful and very kind. The hotel is suited to able-bodied travelers since it has no lift and several flights of stairs. The key word is bijou. I was in a single room and had to get on my knees to plug in a greatly appreciated kettle. To access the safe I had to lie down on the floor. As advertised, the hotel had no air conditioning and the summer heat never left the room. It is the perfect hotel for some, and it is well-priced. I would recommend this hotel to anyone good on their feet. It is not suited for people with ambulatory disabilities. While there are ground-floor rooms, breakfast is served on the lower level. The hotel is run honestly, with integrity, and does not pretend to be anything other than what it is and for that, I am most grateful. Again, the staff are kind, and friendly, and do their best to accommodate guests.

Did not feel safe here. My room was left unlocked with the door ajar for several hours after it was cleaned. I would not stay here again due to safety concerns.

The staff was very friendly. Even helped me plan my sightseeing as I was traveling solo and hadn't planned much in advance. It is closer to Tottenham Station and bus stop, so connectivity is excellent. It was safe to walk around alone in the areas. I used to come back by 10 though.

The Hotel itself was charming and in a GREAT location. Easy walks to a variety of restaurants, shops and venues. The staff was super helpful and friendly. So pleased we were able to stay there.

Bloomsbury Palace was just what we were looking for. As first time visitors, we were out sight seeing all day. The location is excellent - a four minute walk to a useful stop and a 7 or 8 minute walk to the tube station for the Picadilly/airport line. The included breakfast was a big plus - we like to eat a good early meal so as to devote as much time as possible to see the city. The hotel is no frills. The climb to the 3rd floor (essentially 6 flights) was not enjoyable but this was a one time ordeal.

Bloomsbury Palace Hotel was conveniently situated nr Goodge St underground and 3 stops from London Kings Cross! There was a continental breakfast with a good choice. Our room was fairly warm but it had a fan in it which cooled it down. All the staff we met were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was close to Tottenham Court Rd for shopping and near quite a few dining restaurants in Store St. The area was quiet with beautiful houses and it was nice to wander around to see the architecture. I would recommend this competitively priced hotel

Good location, easy walk to Oxford Street, great price, room was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. Continental breakfast included with a good selection of food & drinks. Was made to feel very welcome on arrival and check out, it was perfect for me and my solo, one night stay. I would personally recommend and would stay again!

I have stayed here before. It's a perfect affordable location for the theater kid experience.

Centrally located, within walking distance of Euston, Euston Square, Tottenham Court Road and Goodge Street tube stations. Also < 5 minute walk to the British museum. Was in a single room, small but with all amenities. Very clean and modern bathroom fixtures. Breakfast is fairly good and enough to get a head start.

This is a hotel where solo female travellers are welcome and can feel safe. I was there from a Fri night to a Sat morning, so it might be a bit less quiet on a weekday morning than I experienced as it is on a main road. I booked a small double, as I found the single to be too small on a prior stay and it was well worth the small extra expense.The breakfast is more than adequate, though it is a buffet with no hot options. Lots of nut milks and vegan yogurts available though, which is a bonus. I will be back if I need to stay in the area again in the future.

Stay was pretty good. Central hotel in London, so great location. Room was very nice and bed was comfy. Bathroom was lovely too. Downside: breakfast was a bit basic, and walls need painting, but would stay here again.

Direct, low price for basic stay in central London. Clean, quite and even a respectable continental breakfast. Highly recommended for low budget or if you just like to spend a night.
